Hello babs :) So great that you had the same experience with the CB digi as Charlotte but all is well!

Christmas weddings are the best elephant Grin although did you say that people have already booked stuff? Refundable bookings or not?

Welcome eminado :)

I am 5 weeks today! Still no nausea, when did everyone else's start? If it could stay away until Wednesday that would be great as going out for dinner with parentals on Tuesday and don't want them suspecting!

Tiredoftiredness · 08/06/2015 08:19

Wow, only been a day since I looked and there's a huge new thread!

Good advice from babs I think Charlotte. It is so hard not to worry, but it really doesn't help anything to think the worst! I'm going for positive thinking this time.

Busy tiring weekend here but still no symptoms other than my boobs feeling like they are going to explode soon. Ow.

Raffertys · 08/06/2015 08:20

jelly I thought of you this morning as I packed the sick bag in my handbag! Grin I survived the train journey.

isla a ruptured uterus sounds horrific. Make the most of your time off and put your feet up.

I am really missing tea. My day normally revolves around where my next cup of tea is coming from so the fact that I'd rather chew off my own arm than drink tea now is rather annoying. Although I'm taking it as a good sign as I couldn't bear tea when I was pregnant with DS, but with my pregnancy that didn't work out I was able to carry on drinking it. I have peppermint but it's not appealing at the moment either. Envy

Tiredoftiredness · 08/06/2015 08:29

Oh, and the bloating, it's ridiculous! By the end of the day I easily look 5 months pregnant, not 5 weeks. No idea how Im going to keep it quiet.

Think I may have to invest in some more tunics to be worn over leggings - big pregnancy boobs will hopefully help keep the fabric away from my belly? Have already had to give up on jeans and even jeggings!

Tiredoftiredness · 08/06/2015 08:31

Sorry! Getting forgetful! Wanted to ask for any recommendations for decaf instant coffee? Had reduced myself to a cup a day in recent months but have been wanting more since I found out (typical) never tried decaf before but would want one with a bit of a kick - not sure if it exists?

Rufus200 · 08/06/2015 08:38

God this thread moved fast, 4 pages since I last checked yest!

Hay fever - I thought that bendaryl was safe in pregnancy? It seems to be on loads of safe in pregnancy lists!

I am so bloated that I have actually lost my waist line, I literally look like I've put a stone on in a week! My body is definitely playing silly buggers with water retention. I'm peeing for England but never thirsty and having to force myself to drink something but my gums are tacky I'm so dehydrated and yet my toes look like sausages, I can't get my rings off my fingers and I've gone from having a flat stomach to having a spare tire and muffin top!

NeverShutsUp · 08/06/2015 08:39

Hey.

Can I join? EDD 4th feb Grin currently struggling to fit into my normal clothes already I am guessing this is due to it being DC3. No idea how I am going to keep it hidden until 12 weeks!

Rose85 · 08/06/2015 08:51

Anyone else suffering with really bad hayfeaver this morning? I can't stop sneezing, I'm sure the guy I'm sat next to on the train love me

purdiepie · 08/06/2015 09:09

Isla, I love your username. You can't be that big if you have an active job. Can't believe they damaged you during erpc. Inept tossers!

Rose, if you buy another digital I will come over there and make you drink that piss.

rallytog1 · 08/06/2015 09:10

I'm really bloated too. I look heavily pregnant by the end of the day and am living in trackies. It's easy at the moment as I wfh but have got meetings in London next week, so goodness knows what I'll do to hide it.

NoMontagues · 08/06/2015 09:14

Morning all. Can't believe how busy the thread is.

Welcome never and congratulations!

I too am very rotund of abdomen. I have the most ridiculous love handles as well. I was just approaching something close to my pre-pregnancy body shape when this happened but not to worry, it's all good.

I have a meeting tomorrow where it has to be hidden, so I'll have to try on all my work outfits tonight in an attempt to find something suitable. I think the ol' spanx are going to have to come out too!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 08/06/2015 09:14

Raffertys the bloke at our corner shop asked DP if I was pregnant yesterday!

I'd asked him to get me a Dime bar while he was there and when he asked where they were, the bloke went "bloody hell, your missus isn't pregnant too is she?"

Apparently pregnant women sending their other halves to his shop to stock up on Dime bars is a thing. As we'd only found out the day before DP was a little nonplussed to be asked Grin

Raffertys · 08/06/2015 09:22

SO glad I'm not the only one bulging out of clothing. It's horrendous. Today's work outfit is bloat-disguising: black skirt (stretchy, natch...) floaty black french connection top and suck-it-all-in tights. I don't exactly have a wardrobe full of things that are going to help me hide it, though. Bring on 12 weeks...!

stepaway Dime bars Grin

I'm feeling horrendous and I now have to go and sit through a two hour meeting. Sigh.

Elliekins · 08/06/2015 09:26

Absolutely shitting myself today, realised that there's a very very good chance my daughter won't even be walking when this baby comes. ??
She's 7 months now and still very wobbly even at sitting up, she is definitely not going to be crawling anytime soon as tummy time makes her hysterical!
If I'm 6 weeks already and if I have a c-section at 38w then that means it's exactly only 7m till new baby arrives and current baby is still very very much a proper little baby.
Eeek.
How on earth is this going to work?
Plus, I'm still bloated and oversized from last time, almost got into my old jeans last week, before I discovered the surprise news...

rallytog1 · 08/06/2015 09:29

She should definitely be walking by then Ellie - although, speaking from experience, you might want to be careful what you wish for. It's MUCH easier when you can turn your back for a second and know they'll still be where you left them Grin

iwanttobemrsnorthman · 08/06/2015 09:58

Wow this thread has moved on lot since I last looked!
I'm glad to hear im not the only one who is feeling bloated, I think my stomach muscles have given up already lol I am expecting dc4 after all Grin.
Has anyone got an early scan coming up? I have one on friday morning, im just hoping im far enough along to see a heartbeat, I know from past experience that's not always the case. I have no other way of working out my dates though so needs must x

Elliekins · 08/06/2015 09:58

That's a good point Rallytog, I work as a nanny and the little girl I have now was over 16m before she began to walk and 13m before she even crawled - it was great in many way, as she was stationary for so long!
I'm just realising how difficult things like getting them both upstairs at the same time will be, and indeed carrying her with a massive bump.
I work as a maternity nanny too and I did a few nights caring for a 6m boy at 36 weeks pregnant and it was almost impossible to feed him, my bump was completely in the way!

LynnieLurker · 08/06/2015 10:21

Morning all!
I say hello from the doctors surgery waiting room. Since yesterday I have had the most upset tummy that I remember ever! Tmi info alert.....11 bouts and counting. I rang 111 for some advice and they told me to see a doctor within 6 hours. Managed to play it cool with dh on the phone just now....but there's something anxiety inducing about being here now! Mostly the fact that I don't want to be in the toilet when they call my name! :-/

pretzelpieces · 08/06/2015 10:22

Welcome em and never!

Bit worried today as I've had a fever with aches and twinges since yesterday evening. Been taking paracetamol to control it. I'm hoping it's just a virus and I'll shake it off. Have called in sick to work, although I have a meeting this afternoon that I'll see how I feel for.

pretzelpieces · 08/06/2015 10:24

Cross posted with you lynn that sounds horrendous. Hope they can give you something for it.

LynnieLurker · 08/06/2015 10:24

Elliekins....you'll find a way I'm sure....needs must and all that. It's quite efficient of you really....:)

LynnieLurker · 08/06/2015 10:26

It's not been the most fun....I am sick of the site of our loo! A fever doesn't sound too great either.... I hope you are feeling better soon!

Carltonlives · 08/06/2015 10:27

Welcome never! and congratulations.

ellie my daughter didn't walk until nearly 16 months, so there is every possibility your daughter won't be walking but I second rallytog, it will be a good thing! Once they are running you can't keep up with them and even if she is walking by then it will be a while until she is climbing stairs by herself anyway. I would probably sling the baby and hold her hand up the stairs, my dd was pretty good at walking with a hand held by then Smile

And you will get to enjoy your pregnancy and veg out on the sofa with your little one without endless games, running around and trips to the park to wear them out. Look on the positive side!!

I woke up feeling sick this morning. It only lasted 5 mins and I just stayed in bed until it passed. Sent dh to buy porridge, polos and peppermint tea yesterday. I'm first tri ready now!

Carltonlives · 08/06/2015 10:29

lynnie that sounds awful! I hope it's just a 24hr bug and it passes quickly for you

birdbrain21 · 08/06/2015 10:35

Finally managed to get through to my community midwives, she asked how far along I was and I told her not 100% sure because of irregular periods so don't know my cycle length so she's given me a booking in appointment for next week as she said the sooner I'm booked in the sooner I can get a dating scan. So excited to finally have an appointment. I'm trying to enjoy each stage this time, last pg I was so nervous every step of the way trying to be a bit more relaxed and enjoy this one, the positive attitude will probably only last till the day before my appointment and then I'll panic. Anyone else got a date for/been to first appointment yet?
