Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

I'm starting mat leave at 38 weeks but taking nearly 3 weeks holiday first

If the baby is earlier than that then I've asked them to pay me the holiday or carry it to next year

Don't forget to get your MATb1 form from the midwife and give it to your payroll dept

Lookingforadvice123 · 03/06/2015 13:18

Hi chat! [waves]

rhiannon that's beautiful, I take it you're Welsh too? Elizabeth was also my great-auntie's name so what will be used as a middle name if we have a girl. Hadn't considered it before she died but it's a beautiful name anyway.

pud the fact that you're feeling better gives me happiness and hope! You're not quite 12 weeks are you?

fleur hugs for your anxiety. I suffer too and have had some pretty dark thoughts the last few weeks. Xx

teejayem · 03/06/2015 13:40

News from my fanjo: went to waitrose. Spent money I don't really have on short date stuff. Came home to lots of brown goo in panty liner. Unpacked shopping. Feel like I need to throw up so I am literally doing the same as you before and sitting with a glass of fizzy water with slice of lemon in it fighting the urge to be sick.
I bought antipasti for lunch and everything Confused

Pisghetti · 03/06/2015 13:47

Try the GP Fleur? You can only do what you can do. Absolutely shelve anything 'nice to do'. You're so close now to be able to say 'fuck y'all I'm outta here'! You too Dulcet!

I'd definitely recommend Kellymom then Gouda - and it is worth reading through the information about newborn behaviour before the baby comes so you know what is normal. For example you might find that people try to be helpful by suggesting maybe you haven't got enough milk if the baby is feeding every two hours but actually that's totally normal in the early days. The message that it won't hurt if the latch is ok really pisses me off. BabyPis had a perfect latch and I was nonetheless really sore. Nipples are sensitive and babies are not gentle on them. Having said that, if you can get your latch checked then by all means do as it doesnt hurt to make sure. It does get easier - we're ten weeks down the line now and it doesn't hurt at all and hasn't done for ages.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 14:11

Thanks Pisg, that's really reassuring.

teejay - The others will know way more than me, but should you not be ringing your midwife or something if you are having (even old) blood coming out???? You are so calm!! - I would be shitting myself!! (or at least I would be if it were still possible for me to actually poo these days).

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 14:14

PS, Am I the only one who is borderline obsessed with looking at changing bags???

jellypi3 · 03/06/2015 14:26

gouda i've not looked at anything baby related yet, i'm so worried i'll get into researching things at then something happen at this early stage. i know once i get to 12 weeks you won't stop me researching all sorts haha

WilHarlot · 03/06/2015 14:38

No Gouda, a new bag is easily the most exciting purchase you will make. I so missed out on that joy this time round. Grin

Baby asleep on me - can't find remote. Bad times.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 14:38

jelly that's a fair point. I didn't look at anything until about a week ago I think. I don't mind looking at things, but I'd be too superstitious to actually buy anything for a long time!

jellypi3 · 03/06/2015 14:57

That's fair enough :) how far along are you gouda?

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 03/06/2015 15:33

Tee I would bet on that being the bloody show. Exciting! Get a medical / mw opinion of you're at all concerned tho. I feel slightly less nauseous after forcing down some lunch leftover Dominos but then Mr B called and the act of sitting up triggered a contraction, or close enough. Just one tho, so now I'm clueless what to do with myself.

Good luck from here Tee Smile

Fleurchamp · 03/06/2015 15:46

Bag choosing was simple - DH said he would only be seen dead with one of my choices Grin

My baby has no clothes so far. I need to go shopping.

Cymraes17 · 03/06/2015 16:06

Ooohh, Tee! We may have a baby before the end of the week! (Yours, mine is too happy in there)
I would probably call or text my mw to see what to do next if I were you, or even call the maternity unit itself.

LaLaLaaaa · 03/06/2015 16:16

OOOOOOOOOH!!!!

tee! Baby's making last preparations to exit! Wooo!

Yes I think all you viroids are sensible, I'll get the strep test done then at least I know. Thank you.

gouda totally forgot you're in france! I second the websites suggested. Haven't made it through the LLL book yet but that's my next thing to do after mum goes.

I was a bit obsessed with changing bags for a bit, then finally made my choice and purchase and BOOM - obsession vanished. Now I'm obsessed with cot top changers.

ahh exciting tee :D :D :D

mountaingirl01 · 03/06/2015 16:24

Race to the finish line tee and before! How exciting.

bat I forgot you are not in UK, 4.5 hrs seems much better! I'm jealous, have always fancied the Seychelles.. ah well maybe in 18yrs!

teejayem · 03/06/2015 16:30

Nothing further to report... I've got my fx for you too before I've not had any tightning yet, I think once I start that then I'll call antenatal. I had some ciabatta sticks and balsamic oil dip, and now watching made in Chelsea with feet up. Will probably get Mr tee to take me for a hobble when he gets home, I don't want to go berserk on my ball until he's home just in case.
Tbh gouda I've had funky spotting on and off all pregnancy from my irritable whhhomb (which is like my hostile Fanjo) and cervical erosion, so I'm not worried, these are all good things! Baby is wiggling loads still, I've upgraded the knicker armoury to mat pad (slim)....

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 17:00

jelly - I am 8+4 today. It's still early to be looking at things, but our flat is so tiny, with so little storage, that I think I am going to need to have a sort out and figure out what will go where quite early on. I don't really fancy having to overhaul the flat in the third trimester!!

I'm hoping to give the flat a bit of a do over while DH is away next week actually. Nothing baby related, but some nice storage boxes, and a couple of odd bits to help organise the flat to give us some more space. It's actually really annoying me at the moment, but I feel like there's no point doing anything until I've got what I need to do it properly. Maybe my nesting instincts are kicking in early?

teejay - I'm really glad this this is a fairly normal sign for you, and it's not something you need to stress about. How exciting!!!!! Bambino might be "en route" (which sounds a bit gross given the context but you know what I mean!)

Good luck to everyone waiting with saint like patience for labour to begin. It's lovely to read about everyone's experiences at completely different stages!

La - Since I have now pretty much decided on what bag I would want, you have now got me looking at cot top changers. My god. They are a fucking amazing invention!!! I've been head scratching about where the fuck we could set up a changing area!!

Indigoblue2 · 03/06/2015 17:15

Come on tee!! Come on before!! This is so exciting ShockShock

DulcetMoans · 03/06/2015 17:26

Oh god, anything but the one show tee! That will go into my room 101 for telly programmes. I will watch to see you photos though! If you go
Into labour now I guess no photos? Take camera to hospital?

So we are on a bit of a race now then - you're both such teases before and tee! (Autocorrect wanted teases to be renegades!)

Haha. No I'm not in your group fleur! Not in London and that was my third class. Sorry midwife wouldn't help with work, that sucks. But you can still self certify?

Had my breast feeding class gouda, was pretty good and not too preachy. We had a new mum visit too. I asked about early feeding and it is little and often with the early milk I can't spell beginning with C. It takes up to 6 days for milk to come in but it's all biologically clever that babies tummy can't take much at a time anyway. And like pixie said, only milk and not water. It's more thirst quenching for the baby.

Thanks for the work support, I know you are all right but it's like being two people in my head. I would be saying the same to any of you but I just feel so guilty. Despite the fact that I went back to work after my class as my boss was leaving who came in after 9 and has been replying to my emails from February the last couple of weeks. Why do I care more than her?!

RhiannonElward · 03/06/2015 17:40

Oooh, simultaneous labour imminence. I bloody love this, go on viroids, POP 'EM OUT! GrinGrin

RhiannonElward · 03/06/2015 17:46

Oh and Looking I am indeed Welsh, from the Swansea Valleys originally, but living in Barry now. Between my Nan and your great aunty I think our girls will be named after some great people. Have you decided on a first name yet? fair enough if you're not telling, I'm just curious :)

Hobbit19 · 03/06/2015 18:23

Evening Viroids, all exciting stuff with potential arrivals, puuuuuuuuuuush!!

Tee, there is some research to suggest that paracetamol may slow down early labour: undercovermidwife.blogspot.co.uk

Gouda, I don't know if it helps but I will be attempting to bf just before/at the same time as you so we can work through it together/hand hold if that helps. Boob hold?

Looking, yes 12 weeks on Sat. I felt so much better today that I thought I would do some gardening when I got home! (I fell asleep on the sofa instead but at least I WANTED to do something, that's got to be progress.)

Fleur, if you need to get signed off then maybe see your gp?

Jelly/Gouda I am too scared to look at baby stuff, not because think something is going to go wrong but because I am quite scared that I am having a baby! Grin

batfish · 03/06/2015 18:42

Haha pud I know what you mean about looking at baby stuff being scary - when we bought our pram I felt a right tit! Feels like I'm playing at being a grown up really. Hubby came home a week ago with a pack of nappies, I think that freaked me out more than the pram!
