New thread for us all Grin

mrschatty I think constipation makes more sense which is what has made me worried! Especially as I'm normally always constipated anyway x

Tonicandgin · 27/05/2015 19:57

MaybeMrsMum- first appointment is a bit underwhelming. Mine involved being given some info (Emma's diary and the like) and booked me in for a 'booking appointment'. She filled in a form about me-how many pregnancies/who was the dad/next of kin type stuff and that was it.

Booking appointment includes blood tests/family medical history/your medical history/blood pressure etc.

MamaDoughnut · 27/05/2015 20:04

Ok so I POAS yesterday after burying my head in the sand. Negative. But I'm2 week late and sore boobs a gogo. So POAS this morning. ... negative. Then as if to punish my nonchalant attitude, I'm spotting this afternoon Sad
I'm going to see what the next 24 hrs brings, but I may have to get off the bus .... bugger

Blackandwhitecat3 · 27/05/2015 20:08

Parsnip when EDD is calculated from LMP they assume ovulation on D14, so you just add a day onto your EDD and take one away from your 5+3, so you are 5+2.

"Sick bags at the ready"...this post was aptly named. I agree, it hits at different times of day (& night!) and is different on different days. Eating def helps, problem is, if I snack too much I can't manage a whole meal, plus I think my stomach is smaller somehow.

I too went to the supermarket yesterday and bought up all the things I had a craving for, problem is, today I can't face them! Ha ha.

NB seeing the word frankfurter so many times on one page is making my stomach turn Grin I may have to found the AntiFrankfurter League Wink

OrangeBeehive · 27/05/2015 20:11

mrsfaz I've had the runs too, you're not alone! Well not the runs as such, but certainly loose and definitely not constipated!

Midwife appointment tomorrow...eek. Welcome all newcomers and hope everyone is as well as can be expected!

crumble74 · 27/05/2015 20:15

Hello all new joiners & congrats!!

Big wave to my Frankfurter sisters! Grin

looking Please don't worry! I have no symptoms apart from food cravings/aversions & even then they're not that crazy (I think).

mrsfaz I used to suffer with that when on pregnacare (aka horse tablets). I'm on Sanatogen now - much better!

mrsfazruns · 27/05/2015 20:18

Thanks crumble74 and orange .... I've read a few posts about pregnacare being a problem so will change tomorrow!! It's most defiantly the runs though .... It was AWFUL today running to the loo which was in a room full of people and literally EXPLODING!!! Was not fun!! (Sorry for TMI but I need to share my mortifying feelings) x

parsnipbob · 27/05/2015 20:31

Another one here with the opposite problem to constipation. Not the runs quite, but definitely not constipated! Might well be the pregnacare.

Lilliana · 27/05/2015 20:38

I'm on pregnacare too and I alternate between constipation and being somewhat looser! I had put it down to pregnancy and not linked it with the tablets until someone mentioned the same thing on the pg after mc thread about an hour ago!

Lilliana · 27/05/2015 20:41

Also what's with the obsession with frankfurters?! ( sorry cat!)

OrangeBeehive · 27/05/2015 20:42

I'm not taking Pregnacare so it's definitely not that for me - I think maybe it's because I've upped my peppermint tea and fruit and vegetable dosage!

Sorry Looking, I meant to add, try not to worry about symptoms - I've had good days and bad days with my boobs, I've only really started to feel nauseous in the last week (8+4 now) and I've hardly felt tired at all. Which is a bit worrying but I just keep reminding myself that everybody's different!

dobbythedoggy · 27/05/2015 20:46

Think I might be leaving you ladies to it.

Spotting turned into heavy bleeding, so pretty convinced I've miscarried. I've got an appointment at the early pregnancy unit on monday. Lovely dr who is covering for my gp has said she can push for me to go sooner if I want to. But as no pain and pulse and blood presure good is happy for me just to leave it until what would be 6 weeks.

Strangly I'm okay with the idea I've missed carried. A couple of good friend have been through similar before, so are being a really good support. Sad and dissapointed it may not have worked out but ready to move on to trying again if we need to.

Hope you all have stress free healthy pregnancies.

Lilliana · 27/05/2015 20:50

So sorry dobby I hope you do get good news but it sounds like you're prepared if it's not. There's a thread called headwreak and hope on the mc boards that really helped me when I had a mine if you want someone anonymous to chat to. Take care

OrangeBeehive · 27/05/2015 20:52

So sorry Dobby - please take care. Keeping my fingers crossed for you too MamaD Flowers

Tonicandgin · 27/05/2015 20:54

So sorry Dobby Thanks

Yokyil · 27/05/2015 20:57

blackandwhite just reading the word Frankfurter over and over making me queasy!! My nausea is miserable at the minute nearly 3 weeks of it now - hit 8 weeks this Friday. My sickness lasts all day - morning to bedtime, no fun whatsoever! Sad

Yokyil · 27/05/2015 20:58

Dobby I'm so sorry about your news - please take care of yourself x

ValancyJane · 27/05/2015 21:02

Boddess & Lilliana Welcome aboard :)

Dobby I'm so sorry and keeping my fingers crossed for you. Flowers

Blackandwhitecat3 · 27/05/2015 21:03

So sorry Dobby Flowers.

Yokyil sounds like you are having a rough ride. Mine has only just begun!

ValancyJane · 27/05/2015 21:04

And on the subject of Pregnacare - I'm on it and did notice in the early days I was quite constipated. Read on a thread somewhere that peppermint tea helped, and since I've been having a cup a day (I quite liked it anyway) I'm finding I've not really had those problems as much.

And on the subject of Frankfurters I am totally fence sitting!!

OTheHugeManatee · 27/05/2015 21:17

I just got halfway down a lovely healthy bowl of veggie soup amd caught myself idly thinking 'You know what this is missing? A sliced up frankfurter.' I am officially obsessed Grin

(Sorry, Anti-Frankfurterists.)

waitingforwombat · 27/05/2015 21:24

Hi all, cramping and spotting here too - appointment at epac tomorrow lunchtime, so will have to let my boss know tomorrow to get time off for appt.

Feeling very emotional - been on holiday with dh and dd and started to talk about being a family of 4. Tears not helped by 22 month old daughter coming up to me and stroking face "mummy sad?". Things feel very different to last time - no nausea, no sore boobs, and so not feeling positive at all, going expecting the worst....

ValancyJane · 27/05/2015 21:42

Wombat So sorry, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Flowers

mrschatty · 27/05/2015 21:54
