:( Sadly Im out guys. Thankful that it happened so very early on. Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies !! :)

Blimeygirl · 24/05/2015 15:12

Wow I feel awful today. Keep reminding myself that I shouldn't be whinging but I think my dh realised that the nausea wasn't just feeling a bit sick when I puked multiple times today so far. He has been lovely though and has pretty much ordered me to rest on the sofa with a blanket today! Is anyone getting dizziness as well? Bring on 12 weeks and it getting better in four weeks!

Blimeygirl · 24/05/2015 15:12

Oh so sorry Donna x

Juniper44 · 24/05/2015 15:15

So sorry to hear that Donna. Hope to see you back on a bus very soon Flowers

OrangeBeehive · 24/05/2015 15:21

So sorry Donna, please take care Flowers

Blimey I'm feeling quite dizzy and a bit breathless today - walking upstairs is tiring me out. So I'm now horizontal on the sofa where I intend to stay for the rest of the day!

Blimeygirl · 24/05/2015 15:32

It's grim isn't it orange! I was meant to be doing jobs today and I'm pretty sure nothing is going to get done today!

OTheHugeManatee · 24/05/2015 16:40

donna So sorry - take care of yourself Flowers

juniper yes it'll be covered in insurance. I was impressed by the centre too! It was a dedicated maternity hospital so very well staffed and equipped. It's a bit of a culture shock for someone used to the NHS, to go past a cashier at the entrance to every department so you're paying upfront for everything as you go, but there was practically zero queuing and the quality of care was top notch. The bit I really couldn't get over was the bar, restaurant and chocolatier in the main foyer Shock along with a PIANIST Confused But Greeks are generally very family-oriented so I think there were whole extended families there, sinking a few beers while they waited for their sister/daughter/cousin to finish pushing Grin

Bovnydazzler · 24/05/2015 17:19

donnadoon so sorry to hear your news, it may be early on but be kind to yourself and give yourself time to grieve. All the best for the future.

blimey and orange I've had dizziness and lightedheadness for a couple of days now, can't remember getting it with DC1. My DH has also been lovely today and I've had a lovely leisurely day.

Donnadoon · 24/05/2015 17:33

Thanks all Wine for yous :)

Blimeygirl · 24/05/2015 18:13

Ah bovny they are good really aren't they! I think my dh just feels a bit useless at the moment as he can't really do a lot so just keeps checking I'm ok and if I need anything! I am getting a bit worried about the 12 week scan and seem to be over googling things about mmc. Just scared that we might get there and see nothing. No logic behind it just a bit freaked out!

CubanoHabana · 24/05/2015 18:50

sorry to hear your news donnadoon

parsnipbob · 24/05/2015 19:00

So sorry Donna Flowers

Blimey I feel the same way. Booked myself a 7 week scan so hopefully that will alleviate anxiety a bit but still freaking out, especially as I don't have any symptoms!

dobbythedoggy · 24/05/2015 19:15

Sorry for your loss donna.

Told my parents and younger sister today, all very excited for us. Hoping to keep it as quiet as we can for a while as it will probably cause a lot of fuss when dh's family find out. Bil guessed before we actually knew!

blimey I know exactly what you mean. I felt the same way with dd, worried there wouldn't be a baby there despite having loads of symptoms. I'm trying to be good this time and not google things, other than the beautiful wraps I want to buy. I found having a good pregnancy book really helped me, I could look stuff up but not go too indepth and scare myself.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 24/05/2015 19:19

My DH is being amazing! I'm so overcome with tiredness, he just tells me to take it easy and lie down.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 24/05/2015 19:20

Dobby which book did you have?

ValancyJane · 24/05/2015 19:21

Donna So sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself Flowers

Blimey Glad DH is taking good care of you :)

Manatee I am a huge supporter of the NHS, but very impressed by chocolatier and piano in the hospital, I think it's the way forwards personally!!

Symptoms are back for me today in full force, boobs are really full and sore and I'm quite bloated. Also, bit of nausea this morning, and had to have an afternoon nap before we went out for dinner.

We told OH's parents our news over dinner - they kept offering me wine, I declined saying I was tired, OH casually dropped into conversation "Oh Valancy won't be drinking for eight more months or so..." His Mum got it straight away, and just kept saying "really? really?" his Dad was very confused until we spelled it out for him! His Mum was delighted, hugged us, had a cry and started talking about baby clothes, names etc and we had to remind her that it was still early so to calm down! His Dad was more shell-shocked and sat there looking stunned, then went off to have a little cry (he assures us happily!) and then came back and broke open a bottle of champagne! So all went well and I'm reeeeeally glad it's done and they know. Telling my Mum tomorrow or Tuesday I think :)

dobbythedoggy · 24/05/2015 19:46

blackandwhite I had pregnancy for moden girls, I think. Passed it on to another woman at work after dd was born. But it was very easy to dip in and out of a had a index of symptoms which I was great to look up things rather than google everything. Much better than the other books I looked at, at the time.

parsnipbob · 24/05/2015 20:10

Ladies I'm freaking out. Was sitting down with DP and left shoulder starts hurting badly. No bleeding or abdominal pain but scared of ectopic. NHS website says to take 2 paracetamol and an ice pack and wait for 30 mins to see if that helps, which I am now doing, but am terrified.

Bovnydazzler · 24/05/2015 20:28

parsnip sorry you're stressing, sounds like you've had an anxious time this last week. Sounds like you are doing everything right, hope pain subsides soon. I understand shoulder pain affects 40% of pregnancies with only a fraction of these being ectopic, and thankfully you don't have the more common bleeding/abdominal pain symptoms. Of course it doesn't stop the worry too, hope it gets better soon. You could always request early scan if v concerned to check baby is in the right place.

ValancyJane · 24/05/2015 20:40

dobby I just read the sample of that book on Amazon and like the style so think I'll get it - thanks for the recommendation!

parsnip Completely understandable that you're worrying, but if you've no bleeding/pain otherwise hopefully you've just pulled something. I don't think an ectopic would be just characterised by just shoulder pain, more shoulder pain in addition to other symptoms. Maybe ring 111 for advice - they are usually very good and might be able to reassure you. Hope you feel better soon!

dobbythedoggy · 24/05/2015 20:43

Oh parsnip I don't blame you for feeling so scared.

I got myself very worked up at the start of the week, after our first positive test, over my shoulder hurting. Luckily for me I quickly, but not quick enough for me liking, remebered carry dd around the garden center for a good hour eariler in the day and had a shower to help losen up. But I had a horriable few moments of blind panic.

TeenieDeenie · 24/05/2015 21:01

Donna I'm so sorry to read your news, I hope you are ok and have lots of support in rl Flowers

Manatee good news on the rising levels. Hopefully the fibroid won't cause any more problems for you.

Parsnip I hope the pain subsides, if not defo get yourself checked over.

A long, long day yesterday for me so been very tired lazy today. I spoke to my GP on Friday and she agreed to refer me for an early scan around the 7 week mark so not long to wait. That will be our first date to aim for. 5 weeks tomorrow and I'm unbelievably bloated. Has anyone else found they don't like the pressure that pj bottoms or even pants put in your bloated belly at night time? It just doesn't feel comfy...

TeenieDeenie · 24/05/2015 21:02

Dobby that book does sound good, will get it when I get paid. Thanks for the recommendation.

parsnipbob · 24/05/2015 21:08

Thanks everyone, sorry for being a negative nelly!

DH and I decided that I'll try to sleep tonight and if it's worse in the morning or I have any other symptoms, we'll go get checked out. Seems the most sensible plan.

Blimeygirl · 24/05/2015 21:20

Teenie I'm only 8 weeks and hating tights for that feeling I had to roll them down at work the other day to get comfy!

Parsnip sleeping on it seems like a good plan!
