just thought i would update, full amnio results back today and completely clear so not sure why it happened to my baby but the great news is there is nothing underlying that caused it. gosh i feel elated!

hope everyone is well!

Aw ginger that's so reassuring! Enjoy your shopping!

Ladypug · 20/06/2015 00:06

Breaking news: I think we have movement. Random molehill type movements happening two nights now, feels like little jumping bean movements. Not going to lie, not sure I like it - bit scary but hopefully will get used to it!

gingerbreadmam · 20/06/2015 06:59

thanks everyone.

haha lady thats great news. wonder if youve gone straight to kicks? i thought i wouldnt like it but cos mine ive built up gradually (and i think i still have a way to go till my tummys moving from the force) i quite enjoy it! glad youre finally feeling it.

Ladypug · 20/06/2015 09:06

It's pretty full on although only from the inside and only ever at night! At scan sonographer said we had a mover and that although I couldn't feel it yet I would soon! I hope I get used to it!

Fabuluce · 20/06/2015 10:23

Ah brilliant news for Gingerbaby and Ladybaby- congrats to you both! X

batfish · 20/06/2015 10:44

Yay ladypug glad you're feeling something now and hope you don't find it too weird, hopefully you will get used to it and it will build up slowly

Superexcited · 21/06/2015 19:04

We now have a cot. We were not going to buy one yet but it was on special offer so we bought it and DH has already put it together under the pretence that he didn't want to wait 4 months to discover any faults and then not be able to return it. The spare bedroom is actually beginning to look like a nursery (although the cot will go into our bedroom nearer the time and stay there until bubba is at least 6 months old).

gingerbreadmam · 21/06/2015 21:16

ooh super lovely. how exciting! we got all our nursery bedding and decorative things yesterday so desperate for a cot now so when we go in new house at wkend i can get nursery set up and get even more excited haha! sounds like your dp is mega excited too.

mind u i was thinking about nursery all being set up yesterday when it dawned on me a baby is coming Grin

ollieplimsoles · 21/06/2015 21:31

Great news on the thread tonight,

So happy for you ginger! Now you can let loose and get something extra special for your little bundle!
Ladypug- great news on finally feeling your little tinker wriggling around, I have anterior placenta and feel mine mostly at night, I'm sure they will get stronger now!

ollieplimsoles · 21/06/2015 21:35

In other news, ive been feeling quite anxious about the baby and at the same time relieved that we have made it this far. So my diet has been terrible for a couple of weeks and its really getting me down.

I was at mils today with dh and she had a load of crisps and chocolate and I just couldn't stop.nibbling it all. As a result I felt terrible and threw it all up when I came home (which was awful).

Ive gone through the house and thrown away every bit of crap food we had, I'm starting some.serious healthy eating tomorrow, my sickness is creeping back and I'm sure its my awful diet!

gingerbreadmam · 21/06/2015 21:49

ollie dont be so hard on yourself. there is no harm in a bit of what you fancy from time to time. as long as youre getting all your essentials im sure any treats are absolutely fine.

my diets not been good at all in pregnancy, nor before really but i take my vitamins and try and get my 5 a day and lots of meat when i can face it and drink lots of water, stay away from the things were told to avoid and im happy with that. i really wouldnt worry. there will be pregnant women all over doing a lot worse and still having great outcomes.

good luck with the healthy eating though and thank you.

gingerbreadmam · 21/06/2015 21:51

oh and theres always some judgemental twat waiting to get a dig in. just ignore. my one major downfall which i wish i didnt have is coke theinacankind and someone in the office referred to it as poison. plays on my mind a lot what they will be thinking with what we have discovered. this comes from the same person who drank wine all the time thru pregnancy. each to their own but thats not for me.

Superexcited · 21/06/2015 22:51

Oh ginger, just ignore the idiots that think a can of coke is the devil in a can. If you were guzzling 5 cans of red bull everyday then they might have a point but a can of coke is hardly a pregnancy sin.
It gets on my nerves the way people think they can pass judgement and monitor everything you do just because you are pregnant. When are people going to realise that being pregnant doesn't make a woman become public property.
I have a terrible diet, too many biscuits and cakes despite waiting for my diabetes test which isn't for another 3 weeks. If the medical advice is that I have diabetes and need to cut back on sugar then I will do so but I refuse to take advice from any old busy body. I am a normal weight and have only gained 5lb so far (originally lost some and now gained) I just have a big bump. I eat my 5 a day and enough protein and carbs.

Glad to hear you have the bedding and decorative things ginger. I'm almost done shopping now, just as well with my burgeoning bump because I don't think I will feel like traipsing around the shops in a couple of months.

Ladypug · 21/06/2015 23:54

Yay super on the cot and ginger on the bedding! I'm a little behind on buying (er, I have nothing) but have started looking at prams and have a shortlist so would love opinions:

Bugaboo Chameleon
Jane Epic
Uppababy Cruz/Vista - haven't seen these yet but heard great things

Anyone got any opinions or experience of any? Would love feedback/advice

Superexcited · 22/06/2015 07:02

I have the Jane epic ladybug and I love it. I bought it because the chassis folds really small and is lightweight and the carrycot is foldable. Also the car seat is one of the lightest on the market and you don't need silly adaptors to fit it into the chassis. I also got it with £200 off the usual price so it was significantly cheaper than other prams we liked.
If I had been a first time mum or if money had not been tight then I might have been tempted by the bugaboo because accessories are widely available and you can sell them on easily when you no longer need it.
I didn't look at the uppababy.

katkins123 · 22/06/2015 08:16

Maybe not a good judge as we only looked at two (as friends offered them) the quinny Buzz or uppababy vista), are going with the UV. Big basket, easy to fold, and converts really easily into a double with variety of configurations using the cot/chair combo you already have so could be cheaper in the long run if planning a brother or sister within a couple of years!
