Ladypug · 12/06/2015 22:25

Xxx

batfish · 13/06/2015 19:43

Bought some random stuff today - ear thermometer, 2 bottles, breast pads, sudocrem, a couple of bits of clothes, nappy bags, nail clippers, johnsons baby cologne (don't ask, mr bat decided was essential), disposable bibs (mr bat again) dummies and a bottle drying mat thingy! Ticked a few things off the list!

Hi all! Sorry for being a bit AWOL, just had a week's holiday in Scotland which was lovely and unexpectedly sunny. Got to cuddle a friend's 6 week old dd as well which was so sweet. Glad you got the trisomies result back ginger and fingers crossed for lots of lovely support in the future. Nice to see some new faces on the bus too!

25 weeks tomorrow! Matb1 form ready for my boss, as haven't seen her for a couple of weeks. But DH is being silly about the paternity leave form, saying because he's told his boss he doesn't need to give them a form? According to the .gov website he needs to fill in their official form or his employer's form, but he's telling me he won't. So worried as I can't exactly email his boss or hr dept for him but we can't afford to lose the paternity pay!

Hi October ladies, totally fell off this thread, oops. Have read back a little way now.
Ginger- so pleased amino results were good, you sound like you're getting very clued up and will fight for your child who will be very much loved!

22+1 here and tiredness has returned like a bitch. Anyone else had a return to Also feel like reality may be starting to sink in properly now and I'm starting to worry more about finances during mat leave, the actual birth, and also movements. I am loving feeling little (and a few bigger) movements now but I know in a few weeks I'll be at the stage where it's really important to monitor and flag it up if they change- thing is I am worried I won't know what to look out for and miss a problem. Have an anterior placenta so in worried that's going to mean I don't feel as much as I would if plancenta was elsewhere.

Toast85 · 14/06/2015 15:37

Sorry hit post before I was ready then! Was just wondering of anyone else has had a return to first trimester tiredness levels? I enjoyed a few weeks of feeling relatively normal, up until this week!

gingerbreadmam · 14/06/2015 16:03

ooh loving hearing all the buying stories Grin i picked baby's coming home outfit yesterday in john lewis.

thanks anna & toast

i feel tired again now but more in a physical way like a few hours on my feet and i soon become aware that i am carrying a little baby around and need a sit down!

we move next week i am dreading packing evenifitisjustaonebedflatwerepacking be glad when its all over and done tho Grin

Stinkersmum · 14/06/2015 16:59

I went grocery shopping on Friday. We were out for 3 hours in total and I was exhausted.

batfish · 14/06/2015 17:22

Yep I've noticed too in the past week or so that if I stand or walk for too long then both my back and bump end up sore! Had to pretend I was trying out some feeding chairs yesterday just to get a rest for 5 mins! Feel like such an old lady!

gingerbreadmam · 14/06/2015 18:17

yup i tested our a love seat in bnq today, i know that feeling.

was driving a while yesterday too and under bump where seatbelt sits felt a bit sore by the end of the day.

after resting for 2 days last week following the amnio i completely forgot how weird having a bump feels when stood up / walking.

Superexcited · 14/06/2015 18:37

I'm both breathless exhausted and sleepy tired what feels like all of the time. I walked up two flights of stairs today and was struggling for breath when I got to the top.
Baby movements are much stronger now (even with anterior placenta). I'm 22+4 and the last few days it feels like baby has been awake and kicking more than he has been sleeping. The kicks are regular and so strong that even though I have had 2 children before the strength of them often takes me by surprise and makes me jump. I can see the movement on the outside of my tummy if I lift up my top when baby is moving.

I am worried that my bump is bigger than it should be at this stage, I've had a few people comment this week that I look further along than 22 weeks. I don't know if having anterior placenta means the bump is bigger due to everything being upfront.

batfish · 14/06/2015 19:42

Don't worry super - everyone is a different shape and size so if people comment on you being big (which is ruuuuude) then try not to let it bother you. A friend of mine had quite a small bump and someone told her it was disappointing and someone else asked if her baby was OK as must be too small! So everyone ends up worrying I think which isn't helped by thoughtless people thinking it's OK to say whatever they like. I'm sure you have a lovely perfect bump with a lovely perfect baby in there!

ginger I know what you mean about it feeling weird to walk around - most of the time I feel normal but occasionally I will stand up and it will feel like the bottom is about to drop out of my bump! Odd feeling!

gingerbreadmam · 14/06/2015 19:58

super someone i know by name but not to speak to asked dps colleague if i was pg and when edd was and when told replied something along the lines of wtf shes massive! annoyed me slightly but i can see where shes coming from altho baby seems to be measuring right on scans so im not worried!

Superexcited · 14/06/2015 20:08

The worried bit comes from having a whopper last time - he was almost 10lb and it's worrying me that this one could be following suit. I couldn't care less about what people think of my bump size.
My mum bought me a pack of sleep suits in tiny baby size and I did look at her as if she had lost her marbles Grin

batfish · 14/06/2015 20:11

Ah fair enough, glad you're not worried about what people have said. Hopefully this one will be a bit smaller! Bless your mum's optimism Grin

Ladypug · 14/06/2015 22:12

Am I the last one who still hasn't felt a thing?

hearthattack · 15/06/2015 10:31

Been away for a bit after a house move. Finally online after a fortnight arguing with BT and relieved to be back in 21st Century. And catching up with the MN chat :-)

I've felt some movements in the last week, mostly little tumbles but the odd firm shove. Nothing for the last couple of days though. Sure you'll start feeling lovely things soon Ladybug, but the worry hasn't stopped there for me! Just another thing for me to fixate a worry about! Sigh.

funkybum · 16/06/2015 11:56

Hello ladies,
I'm due my second baby on 8/10, so would like to join this bus please :)
Nice to have other people at the same stage to talk to.
Hope you are all well, R.

gingerbreadmam · 16/06/2015 13:45

hope the house move went well. im signing tenancy tonite and moving next wkend cba at all!

welcome to the bus Smile

FernGullysWoollyPully · 16/06/2015 13:55

Hello all new ladies!

Complete sympathy on the comments from people. I've been getting it for a couple of weeks, I'm 24+4.

I've had "Omg you're massive", "don't go to the beach love" and "Look at the flipping size of you!" from people in the playground. It's really been getting me down.

gingerbreadmam · 16/06/2015 14:20

woah fern theyre a bit much arent they cheeky buggars! we should try and think of a good comeback to these people Grin

FernGullysWoollyPully · 16/06/2015 14:54

Yes! That's the politest way I could describe them!!

I'm normally pretty sharp but have really realised this time just how much pregnant women are fair game to some people!

The other day, I really did lose my shit at the man who said "don't go to the beach"! with "why don't you just fuck off?!" and he said he meant so I didn't get sunburnt Hmm and I shouldn't bite so easily.

Yes it's completely my fault of course, you twat!

gingerbreadmam · 16/06/2015 15:08

hahaha thats funny! deserved it by the sounds Grin

hearthattack · 16/06/2015 15:24

Haha! I think your response was the perfect comeback fern, I'm going to take a leaf out of your book. A Jehovah's witness knocked on my door the other day and told me I was massive for five months. Like 'Hello, God says you're fat.' Charming. She was massive and not pregnant. For some reason I didn't like to point that out.

Good luck with the signing and the move Ginger. It's so exciting and nerve racking at the same time, I couldn't believe we were actually moving until I had the keys in my hand.

FernGullysWoollyPully · 16/06/2015 15:58

Aw thank you both.

Utter Shock at 'Hello, God says you're fat.' I think in my current state of mind I'd have lamped her!

Hope all the moving and signing goes well.
