Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

It is so tough in the first trimester, especially hanging around MN and being more aware of what can go wrong. The people that just get pregnant probably don't over think like we do having been reading about others experiences for months/years.

I will be a little controversial here about the early scan - although seeing the heartbeat early does reduce the risk and offer reassurance is can lull you into a false sense of security. I had an early scan due to being a clinic baby and was told 97% chance I would leave hospital with that baby and I didn't. It is a lot of money and not a guarantee. But I do totally realise why people might want to do it! I agree with wil though, this one felt different. Just took a while to realise that. Early scan can help you start to feel differently about it all and help you turn the corner and realise this is happening.

I hate that tactical voting exists - I want people to be able to vote for who they want. We needed reform!

I am told there are lots of baby sales because of the royal baby being born but not seen much myself - anyone clued in?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/05/2015 15:52

Thanks all. It's good to know that I'm not alone in my fear of the first trimester. This is my first ever pregnancy, so I have no idea what I should be feeling, if it feels "right" or not, or any of that.

It seems like almost everyone on MN has had a mc or a chemical pregnancy, so I am really worried that means it must happen to me as well. Especially since it's my first time.

In France, the doctor signs you over to get blood tests and a scan at 8 weeks to determine viability before you are allowed to see your gyno (it's not midwife led here). For me the first hurdle will be getting to the 8 weeks, the second will be praying for a good result at the scan, and the third will be getting through to a good result on the 12 week scan.

I do feel like my symptoms are nowhere near as strong today as they were the last few days. In fact, my boobs aren't sore at all at the moment, whereas the last few days I was getting sore nipples, and sore boobs when touched. I'm not as shattered as I was yesterday either.

I just feel this cloud of doom and hate myself for it!

Fleurchamp · 03/05/2015 16:53

gouda I totally get where you are coming from. My symptoms dried up at one point and I would worry that I wasn't being sick.

I have (fortunately) never had a cp or mc either and it is worrying to read things in here but everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. Just because it happened to someone else doesn't mean it will happen to you.

It's easy for me to say it now but what will be, will be. Worrying will not change anything.

I had a scan at 10 weeks - it didn't stop me worrying immediately afterwards until I had a scan at 12 weeks! Then it seemed like an endless wait until 20 weeks.

I have only really relaxed since around 24 weeks - viability.

I am now 29 weeks and worrying about premature labour Confused always something to worry about!

WilHarlot · 03/05/2015 16:55

You will get a higher proportion of people having mc and chem pgs on here because people come looking for support. Also people are actively trying to conceive and encouraging each other to poas which means they test way before a period is even missed. Otherwise they would never even have known they had a chem pg. It doesn't happen to everyone so try not to worry. Today you are pregnant.

Just read about that 'swap my vote' website. Doubt it would be any good for you if Labour have no chance in your area La but you could check it out in case. I agree I don't like tactical voting Dulcet, but until there is some kind of voting reform, it appears to be necessary.

WilHarlot · 03/05/2015 16:58

Only sale email I got Dulcet was 23% of everything at vertbaudet for today only. Not sure why 23?

ChatEnOeuf · 03/05/2015 18:08

Gouda it's the same here in Belgium - gynae led and a scan at 8w. I like that bit. Though, I booked my gynae appt as a recurrent mc appointment and it was only a retest that made me realise I hadn't mc'd again this time. No MMC here, but two last year in March ('natural') and August (twins, HB seen at 6w but lost them a few days later. I am the boss of first trimester scanxiety! GX you will all have beautiful scan pictures to show us soon.

Sent my postal vote off already - we're in a Tory safe seat and tbh, he does a decent enough job. I'd like him to introduce kerbside glass collection but that's about it.

Indigoblue2 · 03/05/2015 18:40

Just wanted to echo the others in saying try not to worry. I know it's so easy to say once you are past the first 12 weeks!

Welcome tori and gouda!

I agree with my other scottish friends that the snp do a pretty good job but I'm SO not for independence. Living in Aberdeenshire, oil country, it's shocking to witness what's going on because of the collapse in the oil price. If we'd have gone independent we would have been totally fucked! People are losing their jobs left right and centre. So I'm not voting SNP because I cannot stand the thought of another referendum.

Anyone heard from lauren or mini recently?

lildottie · 03/05/2015 19:46

Hi peeps. Sorry I'm not up to date but windering if you can all help me with something. We are moving house on Friday and I don't want the baby stuff we have in our loft going into the new house. Dh and DM think I'm nuts but it just feels like a curse, and its a constant reminder of what I don't have. cried getting it all out the lift today realising I should be 4m of to be told by dh it "wasn't meant to be". He's a twat

Anyway, I want to have a sort through as I think I can probably get rid of some stuff and wondered if I post a list will you help me decide what to keep/chuck?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/05/2015 20:03

Thanks all - this evening if feels like my symptoms have totally and utterly gone, and I had a tiny bit of pink tinge in cm just now.

There's no point worrying though, so I'll just have to see what happens over the next few days and weeks. Bit shit but nothing I can do, as you all point out!

I'm finding it very difficult to believe that I am actually pregnant.

Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 20:11

Lil, of course we will help you I little know nothing about babies, this Fred scares me

Gouda, my symptoms ebb and flow, have you tried giving yourself a good old poke in the nipple? Some people don't have any symptoms at all. Gx for you xx

gaggiagirl · 03/05/2015 20:16

Of course lil, anything you need.

lildottie · 03/05/2015 20:21

thanks pud and gaggia
I'm not sure of the whole list atm, but as an example I have a crib from my mum which was mine when I was a baby (not mattress obv). the screws and hooks the crib swings on are rusty, canopy pole is fine and wood all in good condition. do I keep it and try and clean up/replace the hooks, or do I ditch it and get a new one when if the time comes. and how much would a new crib cost me? would I be silly getting rid bearing in mind ivf means I could have twins?

WilHarlot · 03/05/2015 20:37

Maybe depends how much work/effort it is to get new screws and hooks Lil. It's a lovely sentiment to have your old one but not if it's causing you pain. You can get a swinging crib from Very for £35 apparently although in a lot of shops they're about £70. What's happening with you? What happened at clinic appointment?

Purpleball · 03/05/2015 20:39

Would your mum take it back for you Lil?

I'm not allowed baby stuff in the house. My dad is superstitious and so big stuff is going to theirs. He doesn't know I have a travel cot in the loft

Sounds like you and DH aren't in the same place. Would counselling help?

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 03/05/2015 20:43

Don't be too hasty lil. I completely understand that it is upsetting but you will need the same things, and possibly double. If there is some old or broken stuff then of course get rid but don't do it because it is upsetting. Can DH maybe get it shifted into new loft without you being involved?

See what happens gouda. You won't be able to forget about it at all but you can't do much either. Just take it easy and let us know if you have questions or worries. Everything crossed for you!

I have never heard of that shop wil! Off to google!

teejayem · 03/05/2015 21:14

When I said adult colouring book, I didn't mean a porny one! It's this! www.amazon.co.uk/The-Only-Colouring-Book-Adults/dp/1907912770 I love it and I haepve got the serious horn for the new stationary ingot to colour in with it.

I should have stayed in and bloody coloured too, we went for our Sunday waddle walk and I tripped over a root and turned my sodding, bastarding ankle over. This relaxin overload is a joke, I am completely jelly jointed! It's iced and elevated, but.. Ow. I could murder a diclofenac washed down with gin to take the inflammation down. Going to reassess the state of it in the morning. Bah!

There are a few deals of the day on Amazon for the royal baby, Sophie the giraffe is £9 I think? There's a few bits on there, but nothing on the list. We sat in bed this morning watching sling video tutorials and have gone with the Caboo in purple, as it seems a bit less faff to get on. Personally I would have been happy with the moby but Mr tee pointed out that trying to tie on 10 metres of fabric at windy airshows might not work well.

We are super Tory/ukip area here too. We live in a village next to a 'private estate' (we are not on it!!) which is all mansions, footballers, newscasters, retired sports personalities, the bald one from Eastenders. The houses are nice to look at on the way to the station, but I'm sure it drives our council tax up. Anyway, basically the bigger the house the bigger the Tory placard outside. I used to vote LD but won't this time round, I genuinely am unsure which way to go. The local bods haven't exactly blown me away, and all I really want is wheelie bins!

lil could you pop it in storage rather than get rid? Lots of places like big yellow are reasonable and it means you can decide in your own time what to do with your things? I hope you're okay xx

First trim... I can only describe having the fear for most of it, but all the advice above is spot on, you won't stop worrying, you can start your folic acid etc and look at the recommended food list and cut out drink to help, but unless you're mainlining crack or something, you can't really control it, which is tough, or see what's going on, which I definitely struggled with. Symptoms wise I didn't have exactly textbook ones either, they weren't consistent, sometimes I was okay, and some days I just felt shit! But be careful what you wish for, I think it was la who was worried about not having MS and then it came on like a beast, and it's a miserable thing! Also, you won't poo your baby out. Honest. ;)

Purpleball · 03/05/2015 21:22

Oh well that's ok then Tee of its clean pics! Hope you've got your foot elevated with ice on it.

Storage sounds like a good idea Lil. I don't think it's expensive and means you don't have to make any decisions now.

I soaked my feet in the foot spa and attempted to give myself a pedicure. Struggled to put cream on and bastard DH said he wasn't touching my feet! They were clean ffs! I told him it's his fault that I couldn't reachGrin

OP posts:
Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 21:37

Purple it is totally his fault and also his job to do foot massages. Threaten to LTB if he doesn't sort it out.

Snorted at 'you won't poo your baby out' but also quite relieved, thanks tee!

Purpleball · 03/05/2015 21:41

Thanks pud I might just do that. I told him I'm cheaper than the CSA Grin

I've worried about pooing the baby out a few times when I've had horrendous constipation

OP posts:
lildottie · 03/05/2015 21:42

wil we've been told we can do next ivf as soon as next cycle if we want! I've had blood tests to check for clotting disorders which could cause mc and also a thyroid antibodies test for a clinical trial. hoping to get results this week. with the move and dhs improved sperm we think we're going to wait until August to give us a few tries naturally, currently in the tww of 2nd post mc cycle. pretty sure I had a cp last cycle.

purple ltb! can you pull the hormonal irrational card and cry like a banshee until he does it? Grin

I'm hoping I won't need to worry about storage and DM will have it all, but do I really need 10 bags of baby grows? lol

DulcetMoans · 03/05/2015 21:46

I'm actually a bit disappointed tee. I wanted it to be rude. I went looking for some more - as sounds like you should do more sitting and colouring, less moving! - I learnt about eroticolour! Even better than that though, I found...

Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 22:08

Viroids, I know this is nuts but, I have been googling baby bump pictures at 12 weeks like a complete mental case I know and there are ladies with actual bumps! Are they just breathing out or is a 12 week bump a thing?! Didn't think I would start showing by then! Thanks in advance for answering another one of my crazy questions. I owe you all a box of raspberry magnums and I would have lost the plot completely without you all already!!

teejayem · 03/05/2015 22:12

I'd leave toenail clippings on his pillow for that comment purple

Now off to look at colouring books with cocks in them. Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 03/05/2015 22:16

Pud with my first I first got a bump that was noticeable to the general public at about 21 weeks. This time around it was about 14. It's probably wind - but we won't tell you that when it's yours Grin

teejayem · 03/05/2015 22:22

I had delightful bloat from about 8 weeks but actual bump was more like 18 I think... I felt massive then but obvs had no idea!
