OK, question for you with possible TMI:

Yesterday evening I had a gush of watery discharge. What could this be. Should I be worried and should I contact EPU etc?

Am also going to start a thread on pg, but wondered if any of you "same time" girls had had this...

moomimin · 06/11/2006 10:40

Sorry jucy no experience of this for you. Could just be hormonal? Hope you get better luck on the pg thread.

moomimin · 06/11/2006 10:46

Just a thought Jucy, if you were loosing water as such it would keep going, would it not? If it has stopped it's probably not too much to worry about. But may be worth a call to the GP especially as you say it was a gush.

moomimin · 06/11/2006 10:48

Still need a new name Ladies, moomin is all over the place. Any more suggestions please? Thanks lg&t and MKG for yours.

twelveyeargap · 06/11/2006 10:51

Took me AAAGES to catch up on the weekend stuff. Blimey you were chatty!

JL - Depends how much it was. I've been having more discharge than usual. Sometimes feels like a gush and more than once I've gone to the loo to check it's not blood. Don't know if that helps at all.

Creena · 06/11/2006 11:15

Hi all. Juicy - I seem to be having more discharge than usual since becoming pregnant. At times, I've had a feeling that I've passed a lot at once (almost like a watery gush, as you mention) but when I go to the loo to check, I find that it doesn't look like I've passed any more than I have been so far. It just feels like a lot. I know this probably isn't much help - it might be worth posting on the pregnancy forum.

twelveyeargap · 06/11/2006 11:23

Moomimin - are the offers on Asda online? Could you order and have them delivered to family/ friends in the UK?

peacemakerukuk · 06/11/2006 11:30

Hi All,
Is anyone worried by the amount of weight they've put on already? I seem to put on alot and can't help thinking that it can't be right. I look more like I'm 5+ months gone than the 3 months I am.

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/11/2006 11:59

Thanks Girls, think I'm probably just worrying too much. A little can look like alot on cloth and it's probably nothing to worry about. There was none over night and only a little drop this morning so probably hormonal. Will call the mw tomorrow if there's more otherwise will wait for scan next tuesday and try to remain rational until then

Re weight: Must admit more worried about shape at the moment. Since I stopped drinking I've actually lost weight But I'm doing no exercise ATALL and it's all turning to mush (was pretty mushy to begin with). Have promised myself to start pregnancy pilates video after the scan.

Also ms feelings only allow me to eat a certain amount before the feeling returns. Plus this is my first so will show later than ladies who've been there done that etc - is it your first too Peacemaker?

Plus all people gain at different rates, so don't be too worried.

Thanks TYG, good idea, I'll have look on line.

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2006 12:05

Hello again, done my asda dash and it was bloody useless. All sold out of the things i wanted already! Bah.... to those who managed to stock up over the weekend.

Juicylucy i have had the same as TYG, had what felt like a gush of blood, dashed to the loo only to find its watery discharge. Is sooo awful when it happens, have had it quite a bit and with previous prg but nothing to worry about. If your waters broke now you wouldnt even notice, there is not enough fluid round the baby for a gush and you would almost definately start with bleeding. Phone the epu or your midwife if you are still worried though. Hope it helps, lots of cyber hugs to you.

Heee heeee heeee to Peacemaker, dont worry it will only get worse! Sorry to chuckle, we all put it on some of us quicker than others, i bet i beat you all at the end though. I think we should take bets, no cheating though! I usually put on about 4 stone I start at 9 and a half and reach 13 and a half, we will see this time as obviously this baby is going to be tiny

My Dh is home, well hes at work at the moment but will be back again later

peacemakerukuk · 06/11/2006 12:06

No Juicelucy, this is my 3rd. It looks baby shaped but it just seems too early to be showing so much. I used to run regularly up until 7 weeks or so ago but had to stop because of stomach pains and then a DVT I have in my leg.

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2006 12:07

Moomin on line asda toys rubbish, i tried at the weekend, no bargains for us

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2006 12:09

Peacemaker you poor thing, you would think running would make you low risk for DVT's. Im already in maternity clothes and look about 20 weeks prg. The more you have the quicker you show, your muscles just give up! Has your DVT gone now, have they put you on any drugs to get rid of it?

ShowOfWhizzBangHands · 06/11/2006 12:14

Hi JL,

Try not to worry too much. I too have had what has felt like gushes and panicked that I'm bleeding only to find watery discharge. I've had a scan and everything's fine, midwife said not to worry- there's loads more discharge in pg apparently and as long as it's clear or white it's fine.

Peacemaker, this is my first, I'm 12+4 and very obviously pg. I too was pretty fit and running lots before I got pg and I'm so at how quickly I've gained a bump. And I'm eating very little too, hardly any appetite. I've just bought a pg Pilates dvd and intend to start doing it this week. I'm also going to try and swim more.

Definitely hormonal, cried at the rugby yesterday. Actually started crying before the rugby as the National Anthem was sung and I'm not even patriotic or a royalist.

Pah!

peacemakerukuk · 06/11/2006 12:16

Hi G&T, no, I still have the DVT and will do probably for 6 months or so until the body breaks it down naturally. I'm on 2 injections a day and will be until 6 weeks after the birth

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 06/11/2006 12:27

Oh no peacemaker that is no good. I hate injections, you must be very brave (in manor of talking to small child, sorry) At least you get a lovely baby to look forward to

What is this prg pilates dvd? I want one, am feeling left out. I have no coordination does it matter?

ShowOfWhizzBangHands · 06/11/2006 12:36

I have this one

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/11/2006 12:52

Thanks girls, you're all so lovely and making me feel much less stressed about my "gush".

Peacemaker, a friend of mine got a DVT early on and had to have the injections too. If it's any consolation her pg progressed w/o probs and she gave birth naturally with no intervention and now has a beautiful 3 month old daugther. Also she is clear for the DVT now.

LWGT - my dvd is still in the cellophane wrapping so don't know if it's any good. I'll post the title tomorrow for you though anyway.

OP posts:
Juicylucythe2nd · 06/11/2006 12:53

That's the one I have too!! Is it any good?

OP posts:
peacemakerukuk · 06/11/2006 12:54

Thanks Juicelucy, we've got a nuchal scan this Friday which I'm a little nervous about. I've had 3 scans so far and everything has been on track, but I've not had one since the DVT was diagnosed.

Creena · 06/11/2006 12:58

Hey there, Peacemaker.

Like you, I'm on my third and I developed a noticeable bump very early on. I'm only 11 weeks right now and I'm already in maternity clothes - my trousers were the first to stop fitting me at around 5 or 6 weeks! I'm pretty sure it's all baby as it's all centred in the baby area (apart from my boobs, which have gone enormous). I mentioned it to my midwife at my booking in appointment and she said that, after your first pregnancy, any subsequent pregnancies can show a lot earlier.

Also, sorry to hear about your DVT - that sounds awful.

peacemakerukuk · 06/11/2006 13:05

Thanks Careena, yep, I've been in maternity clothes for a few weeks now too. Its difficult because apart from my immediate boss no one at work knows and I don't want to tell them until after Fridays scan.

SKYTVADDICT · 06/11/2006 13:06

Hello all

JL I sometimes feel like I have watery gushes and rush to the loo to check and its just water. Horrible having wet knickers though!

I went out saturday night in maternity trousers for the first time. Felt like they were falling down a bit but lovely as we had a meal and there was lots of room for it! A friend who is also PG with her first and the same weeks as me had her own trousers on (size 10/12 ish) but had to undo the button after eating. I felt and looked about 6 months PG as I also had a long flowing top on. At least I was comfy. I dare not weigh myself. Toilet Paper Tuesday tomorrow and I am sure I will have gone up at least a sheet I feel like I have anyway

MKG · 06/11/2006 13:41

Hey ladies,

I'm getting gready to transition to prg clothes. At 11+4 I was hoping to wait longer. My pants still fit, but I was on a serious no carb no dairy diet until I was prg. (I lost 55 lbs in 3 months so if anyone wants post baby help, I'm your gal) Anyway since I'm eating like a normal human being again I've put on some weight very quickly. My boobs have grown and my shirts don't fit, and my jeans are starting to get too tight. Oh well.
