May 2015 - Thread 9 - Babies coming thick and fast

Hey ladies. Thought we needed a new thread starting , hope this works.

Hope you're getting somewhere Gin and good luck to everyone with impending inductions/c-sections/due dates.

Had my scan eventually and all looks fine, hooray. Estimated weight 3547g/7lb 13, but I gather those estimates can be wildly inaccurate! Cardiologist tomorrow, then hopefully will get the OK to use the birth centre if all continues smoothly. Hope baby stays put until after the weekend though.

Thanks just I had thought 4 sweeps might have taken some effect, especially as all the midwives I've seen have all said they would be surprised if I got to induction date.....which is tomorrow!! Your nursery looks lovely :)

Hope everyone else is well and good luck to those with any signs currently! I am booked in for induction tomorrow afternoon so have been for lunch in town, done some last minute cleaning, re-packed hospital bag (for about the 5th time) had a relaxing bath and will soon be ordering take away!

Ooh so this afternoon DH and I finished renovating the chest of drawers for the nursery and transferred all the baby's clothes, toys and toiletries into drawers. Then I talked DH through everything in each of the hospital bags and we went to Tesco to buy a few final bits. By the end of the shop I was getting really strong BH(??) which ckntinued all the way home. They briefly slowed whilst we ate but still getting pains now and baby is really active so wondering if this might be the start of something? Think I might head into a bath for a bit and see what happens...

Aww thanks everyone! Don't want to get you all excited - after a long warm bath things seem to have settled down. Going to try and get some sleep now but feel it might have all been a false alarm (although hopefully taking my body and baby one step closer to being ready for the real thing...) sunshine - yup cats still acting strange. Sometimes all over us, the next very territorial of 'her space' - will see what develops I guess...hope everyone else is doing ok?!

Kittiker, I'm having a pregnancy massage tomorrow so I really hope they don't get things moving in general as I want to keep baby in here for another three weeks! Though I hope it works for you, of course!

cuphat Same here! Slept solidly til 4.30 now wide awake and off out for lunch with friends so I'm gonna be knackard lol.

Think baby shifted last night as stomach went really soft before bed and had Los of strong kicks right out front by my belly button!

Leanne that was my first thought today too... It's may!! Hopefully every baby will be born this month. I'm 36+3 so feel verrrrry far back... Although DS did arrive at 38/40 so who knows!

Anyone else looking forward to royal baby news? I wonder who's baby will share a birthday, there's bound to be someone! One of my friends babies was born same day as George and she got the little silver coin.

Midwife appt today! I'm home birthing so think we discuss that today and hopefully she will tell me ive got enough towels and shower curtains

costa I'm 36+5 so I feel like I have ages to go too but I hope she is a few weeks early as I'm getting impatient ha! 38 weeks is a nice time to arrive! Hope yours arrives early again :)

Haha Leanne - your post made me laugh so much! I am so pleased I stayed on in the May Group - don't think I could have handled the wait so well, while watching all the April babies arriving (can you believe the April group is on thread 18 or something - dont know how they manage it?! I thought our threads moved fast!!)

Last night was definitely a false alam - after the long bath, I slept straight through until DH left around 6am and no more pains since. Guess we now have to see if the original due date I calculated (4th May) turns out to be more accurate. If not, then my first sweep is booked in for 5th.

So pleased that everyone can now say they are due this month!!!

Haha yep it's May ladies, let's get these babies evacuated this month!! Eeek that does sound scary doesn't it, I'm due in 23 days, shit balls!! But I'm sure this one will follow its sister and be late, bet I go into June!

Leaving for hospital now. ARGH. Am bloody third though so will be a long day. DD very upset and has been awake a lot. I'm shattered. And so it begins....

Just-same thing happened to me on Tuesday so I feel your frustration! DH and I even tried a bit of DTD in the hope it might kick start things off. Nope. Nothing's happening!! Well, our babies have to arrive soon-not sure I can carry around this weight for much longer!!!!!!!

Ha ha for towels and shower curtains Costa! Just like the films! I have started to sleep with a towel underneath me just in case....
