I'm still here. Due date 29th and due to have a section on Tues but don't think it'll go ahead then by the sounds of it. Hospital sounds like it's in a mess and so I think I'm heading for an EMCS.

Bazza2 · 24/05/2015 10:08

Lovely Angus didn't have any tests but he has been referred to a genetic specialist. The day he was born a doctor looked at him and told us he thinks there is a good chance he has achondroplasia. Then the next day a different doctor told us he thinks he probably doesn't. So we are a bit all over the place. I don't think he looks like he has anything wrong with him at all, he's just going to be small. But we don't know unless we have these tests. If you look at this picture taken when he was about a minute or two old, you can imagine why they thought he was a bit wonky........

Oh bazza he is beautiful, hope these tests prove all is ok and he is just dinky... Congrats on your lovely boy x

leanne963 · 24/05/2015 10:54

Oh bazza bless him! He is so cute! My 5 week old nephew is being refered to a genetics specialist as they think something is wrong too, he is only just getting up to 6lbs and he is under on the length scale too and has a small flat nose with a funny toe on each foot! But I think he looks absolutely perfect and nothing is wrong with him, but it is good that doctors are doing these tests just to rule out anything! I love a good quirky baby Grin big hugs to you and Angus!

Chookford · 24/05/2015 11:04

leanne and twinkle happy due date, any signs from either of you?

TwinkleTee · 24/05/2015 12:52

Happy Due Date to you too Chook!

Absolutely nothing happening here, apart from the occasional bit of period pain, but that has been happening for about a week :(

Going for another big walk in the forest today and going to clean out the cupboards, that will keep me occupied and not symptom spotting!

Think that ought to justify the cake reward I have already got in mind! Grin

Chookford · 24/05/2015 14:24

Same here twink symptom wise..

Cake sounds good.. I may have one just because I'm fed up!! Wink hope we have some baby news soon, there are only a few of us left to pop now isn't there?!

applecore0317 · 24/05/2015 16:57

aww he's gorgeous bazza, hope the test results come back ok.

Happy due date Leanne, twinkle and ,chook.

Am three days away from mine, bored of trying everything now

leanne963 · 24/05/2015 17:47

Happy due date to you too chook Nope no signs what so ever lol! Just feel heavy and achy but nothing that is notable lol! I am starting to think she doesn't want to come out! Haha!

Thanks apple same here, nothing is working lol!!

Scottishgal78 · 24/05/2015 18:00

Aw bazza he's too cute!

Gingergeek · 24/05/2015 21:00

What's up with your hospital cuphat ? Mines has just had a massive rebuild and is merging four other hosps so all a bit mad there too. Probably massively outing where I live but hey ho!
Happy due date leanne chook and twinkle
Been having tightenings since half 1 this afternoon with a few sharp pains down low too but all seems to have eased off now. Third time I've had this "false alarm" sensation. Argh so frustrating!
Going to cheer myself up with my DH's homemade banana bread.

Cmon babies! We want to meet you!

Chookford · 24/05/2015 21:46

apple and ginger thanks... Hope we all have some baby news soon!!

Scottishgal78 · 24/05/2015 23:51

Ooh banana bread!

applecore0317 · 25/05/2015 05:25

Hope the banana bread cheered you up Ginger, it's made me want to make some now Smile

longestlurkerever · 25/05/2015 08:11

Hope everything comes back fine bazza.

Properly fucked off now. Have been unwell for 10 days and dh has been ill with a fever for a week now. Have been looking after dd more or less on my own and am shattered. If it wasn't a bank holiday she would be at nursery today. Going to take her totthe cinema for some low energy entertainment but there's still all afternoon to get through. Sorry to moan. I am not even that impatient about the birth. I just want dh and me to get well!

leanne963 · 25/05/2015 09:43

Oh ginger I had a terrible banana bread craving a few months back!! I stormed round all the shops until I found some and I think I actually yelped with excitement when I found some! I am jealous you have a DH that can bake!!!

Aw longest you have been ill for ages :( I'm sorry, that really sucks! It's bad when you can't have a lemsip or two to try and clear it :( I admire how much you are doing though!!!

I said to DP last night how it's gonna be really weird when strangers ask me 'ooh when are you due?!' and I can now officially say 'oh last week' lol

Chookford · 25/05/2015 10:20

longest sorry to hear you are still suffering, as leanne says it sucks arse!! Hope you start to feel better soon!

leanne yeah I'm already dreading the comments of ooooh anyway now then!! It could be two weeks away yet so piss off and leave me alone!! Grin

Scottishgal78 · 25/05/2015 11:05

Oh longest you poor thing! Can't imagine doing all of this with both of us ill!

Gingergeek · 25/05/2015 11:16

longest hope you all feel better soon.
Banana bread was fab! Didn't mean to not-so-stealth boast though haha! That's DH's only party piece to be fair.
DS, who's 6, has said that baby will be here by 2pm today. Better get a move on then!
Hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday today.

mumxof3x · 25/05/2015 12:56

Bazza hes beautiful, hope the tests come back ok. Ds3 had to have genetic and chromosome abnormality tests when he was born as the doctor said he had soft markers of some problems 2 of them been slanted eyes and a long tongue, it took a very long 7 weeks to get the results back but they was absolutely fine.

Hope you all get better soon longest.

Full of sickness bug in this house since Wednesday only person that doesn't have it is me...YET. washing machine is none stop, 4 lots of bedding done today, clothes upon clothes, tad mad lol.

Good luck to you ladies still waiting not long now x

longestlurkerever · 25/05/2015 18:57

Thanks all! Survived! Actually think we might finally be on the mend.took dd to the kiddie cinema then we all made it out to a spring fair with face paint and bouncy castles then some friends came back for tea. Dh looks peaky again now but it's 10 mins till bedtime and it's game of thrones tonight. Things are looking up!

Hope you get shot of the bug mum. Vomiting is the worst.

applecore0317 · 25/05/2015 19:25

Glad you are feeling better longest, hope your DH is also on the mend soon.

Sorry everyone is poorly mum, hope you manage to avoid it.

Ginger I currently have a banana loaf baking in the oven :D three overripe bananas, why not :)

TwinkleTee · 25/05/2015 21:04

Love the Pic apple!

Glad you all survived longest and I hope you have to do less washing soon mum sounds like a nightmare :(

Still nothing happening here, no nesting, show or pain of any kind!

Seems weird willing your body to start hurting ....

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 08:06

Sorry that you are also getting nothing Twister, frustrating isn't it. I also find it bizarre that we are wishing for pain :)

Got out all singing, all dancing baby monitor and sensor pads out of the box this morning to test them... took one look, decided it was too complicated for pregnancy brain and put it back in for DH to look at when he is home... lol

I have sorted the bedding out for the crib and moses basket and put each set into plastic bags so that DH or my Mum can make them up when we are due home. Also finally put my hospital bags in the car as a just in case.

Gingergeek · 26/05/2015 09:41

Still just a few niggles here. Trying so hard not to symptom spot and failing miserably!
Older two DCs are back to school today and my DM is back through this afternoon so DH and I are going to try and find somewhere nice to go for lunch to celebrate our hopefully last day of child-free-ness. Fingers crossed that actually doing my hair and make up for once means that labour starts!

Fingers crossed for some pain all round ladies!
