Haha apple great profile pic! Grumpy cat is amazing! Hope babies movements are ok now! It is weird but indefinitely feel like the movements are different, not 'less' just more rolls and heavy movements!

Haha ginger I have decided that if I have greasy hair and haven't touched my bikini line in ages THAT will be he day in go into labour ha!!

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 10:35

Lol Leanne, same here, will be the day that I look and feel like a total tramp :)

She's wriggled some more this morning, so will see how today goes. Was mg for the hospital to call with a scan appointment.

Ginger I think it's impossible to symptom spot at this stage! :)

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 10:35

That was meant to say not to symptom spot

longestlurkerever · 26/05/2015 10:37

Sadly I went to bed with hummous in my hair (don't ask) and even that hasn't triggered anything!

Have a midwife appointment this afternoon. Trying to decide if we are both well enough for sweep.

Dh just emailed to ask if I want him to come with me to the induction on the 4th. "Might it trigger labour?". Lol.

Going to have my hair cut now. Last chance?

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 10:42

Hope you feel well enough for the sweep longest and a hair cut sounds lovely, to be fair any hair pampering would be great :)

Have my 40wk appointment tomorrow

longestlurkerever · 26/05/2015 12:30

Glad you said about different movements leanne I can feel the baby rolling around and her head and bum sticking out at various different points but not so many kicks etc. Can't help getting anxious.

Had haircut. Now at a table in the sun having lunch in a restaurant on my own. Can't decide if this is the height of luxury or a bit of a sad act but am enjoying not having to stop dd pouring the salt everywhere and pinching all the ketchup.

Good luck everyone!

Gingergeek · 26/05/2015 13:19

Well we failed at the nice lunch. Tried some "natural induction" instead and then I fell asleep for two hours! Whoops!

And my hair has been a state and bikini line like a jungle for ages and that hasn't worked either so thought I'd try the prepared approach.

Not at mw again until Friday when I'll be 40+6. Had a sweep last Friday and the consultant attempted one the Friday before when I was up for a positioning scan but couldn't manage. Think my bishops score was 5 on Friday. Station still -3 and cervix still posterior. But it was soft and 1-2cm dilated and was the second best score for effacement. Reckon that's probably normal for third babies though.

Oh and movements definitely changed here too. Trying hard not to be too neurotic about it and failing miserably. Still so anxious about this pregnancy. I've felt like I'm "pushing my luck" somehow going for three. Was convinced they would find something wrong at 12 week scan, then 20week scan. And now it's the birth. Think being off uni now too means I have way too much thinking time on my hands to stress.
Glad you've managed a haircut longest and nothing sad about lunch alone. Enjoy the peace :D hope you manage a sweep. And lol at DH's comments re induction.

leanne963 · 26/05/2015 13:29

ginger and longest Yeah it is scary cause we have got to this point and we are like 'Please don't let anything go wrong now' so i completely understand being paranoid about movements. I have always had lots and lots of movements from the beginning and my SIL stares at my belly moving and is like 'That is crazy i NEVER had movements like that' so when she goes quite for a few hours it is much more noticeable than if she was a quiet baby! So it is hard!

Got a midwife appointment on Thursday when i am 40+4 but i dont know if i will have a sweep as she never mentioned one!? Would she do one there and then?!

ginger I am going to wait until the crucial moment before i try and tidy up my bikini line cause my skin has been so sensitive that if i do it too much i will be red raw ha!

Random question....if i get induced would i still be allowed a water birth?!

Leanne Induction cancels out birthing units and water births unfortunately, because they need to monitor you

Got my scan at 5.30 tomorrow to check fluid levels. She has moved more this morning, no idea why she was so bloody quiet all weekend Hmm

Hope the next sweep starts you off ginger

Am definitely going to ask for one tomorrow, can't hurt to ask....

leanne963 · 26/05/2015 13:53

Ahhh thanks tori and apple i just wanted to check! I did think a water birth would be not allowed just checking my options! Hopefully won't have to be induced but i have no idea what is going to happen ha!

Let me know how the scan goes tomorrow apple :)

Gingergeek · 26/05/2015 14:11

leanne I asked mw this very q too and she said same as above. Constant ctg monitoring rules out water. :(
And I just asked consultant and mw to give me a sweep. Didn't think either of them would as I'm sure you're meant to be 40+ and I was only 38+6 and 39+6 at the two apts. obviously was too soon at the 38+6 one because as I'd said consultant couldn't do it.
Sure I had two sweeps with DS which didn't work. But I did go into spontaneous labour at term plus 9 (delivered at 1250am ten days late)
DD was spontaneous labour at term plus 3 which is where I am today so this one has until 1811 to officially be the "earliest" of the three haha!

Gingergeek · 26/05/2015 14:14

Oh and hope the scan goes well apple :)

leanne963 · 26/05/2015 14:22

haha ginger well i hope things start to happen today! Fingers crossed :D This LO has to be here by the weekend i am putting my foot down now :P

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 14:53

Sorry you're fed up and angry chook, sending hugs.. I suggest cake and chocolate together!!!

Gingergeek · 26/05/2015 15:02

Aww chook second the cake and choc suggestion!

I've decided to help out with a mock exam session for the year below at uni tonight (technically now the same year as me :( ) anything to get out of the house. At least I'll be surrounded by med students if labour does kick off :P

applecore0317 · 26/05/2015 15:10
