Congrats on reaching 36 weeks Apple!

Oooo Kitty I really hope things are kicking off for you and Kitlet is in your arms soon! Keep us updated.

I know Leanne, where is the lovely weather?? DH is taking Friday off and we plan on a country walk and pub lunch. Haha to the symptom spotting- feels like a better version of the TWW!

Thanks very much for the info on the plug Mumx3. Still loosing lots daily but not bloody. I suppose it could now be a case of hours/days/weeks! Great to hear that Leo is feeding well. I can't believe you had him 3 weeks' ago! Time is flying!

Wonder if any of our babies will share birthday with the next little Royal??

applecore0317 · 29/04/2015 11:24

Ha ha wasabi was largely down to being awake at 5.30 and killing a bit of time :D

Glad that Leo is feeding better Mum, I also can't believe he is three weeks old already!

Wonder whether Kate will be induced, can't see them letting her go too far over.

Thanks Blondie just can't believe that after all the worry of premature labour that I am sat here with her still baking away :D

Sunshinesaz86 · 29/04/2015 11:24

Morning ladies!
Thanks for all your driving points, think I'll carry on until I feel too uncomfy (not long I should expect)

Sorry about the hurty bum and toilet trips snooky

Glad u had a good sleep piglet makes all the difference sometimes! Ps hope u get hold of midwife.

Eek kitty I'm so excited for your show as odd as that sounds means babies are getting ready! :)

That's rubbish about the rewire just! and I was having a nosy on Aprils thread a week or so ago and two of the ladies cats who were more loving than usual went it to labour shortly after! Fx for u!

Welcome wasabi

leanne well done on keeping up on the uni work it'll all be worth it in the end.

Hope your days not too tough longest try n take it easy.

Hi mum glad little Leo is doing well can't believe it's been 3 weeks already! And only a few more days till May and a lot of us can say our babies coming this month!! Grin

Well done on all the diy chook I don't know where u find the energy! A good job done for babies arrival tho!

I hope baby moves position for u tori

Boo to thrush apple and Yey to being finally able to dtd again.

Sorry if I've missed anyone else! Good luck to all impending sweeps and inductions can't wait for more babies!

I'll be 38 weeks tomoro and night times are becoming a bit of a nightmare due to back pain and SPD I think my pelvis actuslly popped when I rolled over last night! I have no other signs baby is on its way tho but still got done time left, just id rather go a little earlier as then I can still go to my local hospital before the downgrade!! Fingers crossed!!

Sorry for the mammoth post!

leanne963 · 29/04/2015 12:21

kitty I am definitely a summer person! Quite glad I am giving birth just before the start of summer so it means I can get out of the house more!!

longest oh wow that really is some stubborn waters ha! Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish :(

blondie oh a country walk and put lunch sounds like my kind of afternoon!! :)

Thanks sunshine Ouch you don't sound like you are having much luck! SPD and a Popping pelvis must really hurt!

Just went over birthing plan with midwife she is so lovely, I said I wasn't keen on the idea of birthing on my back and she said that she can't remember the last woman she had give birth on her back and that at the birthing unit they really encourage movement and being on all fours or squatting! I'm feeling really good about the labour and birth now :)

bradders85 · 29/04/2015 13:04

kitty hope things are starting for you. I'm planning a nice long walk today too!

mum can't believe leo is 3 weeks already!! Pleased he is feeding well too! :)

just what a pain about needing a re-wire, sure that's the last thing you want to be thinking about at the moment.

sunshine I'm with you on poor sleeping due to hip pain - my pelvis also clicks when I attempt my 4 stage rollover in bed and in a morning I shuffle like a penguin!

I am 39+6 today and had my midwife appointment and wait for it......sweep number 4!!! Shock All good and waters bulging! Been told to go for a walk which we are doing soon. If not I'm heading for induction on friday but midwife thinks they might pop my waters initially whilst I am already dilating and see if that sets me off before then offering me a drip or other things to help induction.

Hope everyone else is well. Anyone still in need of a baby changing bag I found one on this website; as I didn't see much choice in mother care.

longestlurkerever · 29/04/2015 13:14

Thanks bradders - I have a changing bag that will do but am secretly hoping for some vouchers from work to put towards an upgrade! Dh works in my office so I have given him strict instruction if he is approached for ideas.

Feeling a lot better now. Met a friend in a cafe with a ball pool and our dds cheered up on seeing each other and played for ages and now she's at nursery for a couple of hours. Need to get some work done though so better get off mumsnet! Can't help checking thread for new babies. every time I see new posts.

Sunshinesaz86 · 29/04/2015 13:53

Glad your feeling longest nice to get out and about think it helps with feeling a bit normal.

Wow sweep no4 bradders I hope the walk kicks things off you! Good luck! And yes to the mission of what is rolling over at night time, hopefully only couple more weeks now!

leanne glad u had a good midwife appointment and feel ready and as prepared as u can do. I've still not done birthing plan not sure I'm going too. Think I'll just go with flow.

On another note from my moaning I didn't get heartburn last night!! Amazing!! But random tho as one had it religiously for weeks. But I'll take it!

Great news *Tori, Hope he stays that way!

Glad you are feeling better longest

Wow bradders, sweep 4!!! That's one stubborn baby, get bouncing, walking and dancing, hoping they'll be an update from you soon announcing babies arrival :)

Yey Scottish heartburn sucks!! Will be glad when I no longer have to buy orange Rennie's with every shop

Sorry you are in pain sunshine :(

Good about your MW appt Leanne I've got mine at half three. Taking my Nan with me so that she can hear the heartbeat

BeanCalledPickle · 29/04/2015 14:47

Rocked up for my pre op at 11. Finally left at 2! Manic busy clinic. Saw anaesthetic doctor as well as ob and then needed blood and swabs. Still on for Friday. Marginally annoyed that they won't confirm the running order until 10pm tomorrow night! Must remember that non section people have none of the certainty I have so must not get stressed!!

longestlurkerever · 29/04/2015 15:05

Aw tori! Lovely plaque and glad he has turned.

Exciting Bean!

Off to get dd from nursery now. Can't decide whether to take her to Ikea to play in creche (which she loves) while I buy her a new mattress and have a coffee, or come home and play in garden. Which is likely to be less hellish more relaxing?

Have just heard from her new school. She has weeks and weeks of settling in and won't start full time till mid Oct! It's a good job I will be on maternity leave but I will have my hands full with two of them for a good while.

applecore0317 · 29/04/2015 16:27

Yey bean looking forward to the arrival of little bean :)

sounds like it will be a busy time longest

had a really good appointment, bump is measuring two weeks under, but still on track and growing :)

3/5 engaged and she is in the correct position :D and the best thing is that I have been referred to the birthing centre as am now classed as low risk

Jenni2legs · 29/04/2015 16:32

Hey Ladies, loving reading and catching up with the thread. I am always impressed when someone answers loads of people...I can usually only remember the last post I've read when I come to write a messageGrin.
I am going to start preparing for my section (12 days) by eating prunes and pears as last time the constipation after was the worse pain ever (straining for a poo with a stomach wound - ow!). Thought I'd mention it, as the planned sectioners might want to as well.
I have a recipe too, 5 prunes, a scoop (or three) of chocolate ice cream and half a glass of milk in a blender - much nicer than trying to eat prunes everyday.

leanne963 · 29/04/2015 17:02

Aww tori that plaque is Gorgeous! I love it! That is great baby is head down :)

apple Yay to birth centre! Thats where i have just been told i can go as am low risk! Did your Nan love hearing the heartbeat? :)

Wow bean I bet these few days are going so slow for you!! But what amazing weekend you will have with baby :)

Ooooh jenni I might try your prune smoothie anyway, love a good 'clear out' every now and then haha! Nan was telling me back in her day they had an enema while in labour!

piglet81 · 29/04/2015 17:18

Apple that's great news about the birth centre after everything you've been going through! Leanne, glad you get to use yours too.

Tori, great that baby has turned.

Longest, what did you end up doing? Don't think I could face going to Ikea this pregnant - you're a braver woman than me if that's what you did!

Bean good luck for Friday and Jenni good luck for 2 weeks' time...and anyone else I've missed, too.

Midwife did call round in the end, which is good as I had some protein in my urine and bump is measuring small (35cm at 39 weeks). She's sending me for a scan and repeat urine check tomorrow, so I'm glad I chased that up. Hopefully nothing to worry about as BP is fine.

longestlurkerever · 29/04/2015 17:29

Hope you're ok piglet. Doesn't sound too worrying but glad they're keeping an eye on you.

apple good news!

Dd didn't fancy ikea so we came hom and have had a lazy afternoon with peppa pig and a cbeebies magazine. The right choice i think! Still need to get a mattress at some point though. May just order a random one online.

Blondie87 · 29/04/2015 18:03

Jenni2legs · 29/04/2015 18:21

Leanne it's probably quote painful straining after a normal birth come to think of it Wink

applecore0317 · 29/04/2015 19:43

Ooh I like the sound of your smoothie more than mine Jenni I simmered the prunes and blended them, worked a treat but not that nice :) Been snacking on sultanas recently which have also been working pretty well, and my one slight craving of strawberries :)

That's great that you have also been referred to the birthing centre Leanne

Hope all is OK piglet when is your scan?

leanne963 · 29/04/2015 20:29

Yes blondie I have been feeling horrible in the mornings! Never sick but just feel really nauseous!

Ooh good luck wit the scan tomorrow piglet will you get an estimated weight!? I'm so intrigued to know the estimate of my LO.

longestlurkerever · 29/04/2015 20:35

Yes me too to nausea. I think it's the baby pressing on uncomfortable bits.

applecore0317 · 29/04/2015 20:37

I felt sick this morning, but then I did doze off and woke myself up because I somehow managed to bite my tongue... Really hard, so think that's why I felt a bit bleugh

WasabiNuts · 29/04/2015 20:38

Good result, Leanne.
Thanks for the welcome, Sunshine.
Tori, that sign is lovely! Hope you don't change your mind on his name once he is here!!!
That's good prune prep, Jenni. I can't stand them, I think I'll just have to hope for the best without them.

Anyone got an nursing/BFing tops shopping advice? Where's nice, but not too expensive? I'm not finding much that I like for summer. (I have bras, and winter tops/hoodies - just nothing light for the warmer days.)

cuphat · 29/04/2015 21:31

Same here, Jenni!

Wasabi, I wouldn't bother with nursing/ bf tops. I bought a few last time but much preferred just putting a strappy vest under everything and pulling that down and lifting the top up. I found that less obvious for feeding in public, plus you have a greater choice to wear then. And I had my DD at exactly the same time of year and didn't feel too warm. If you really want some then I found that h&m were the best for me, although they were plain and there wasn't much choice.
