applecore0317 · 14/05/2015 14:57

Congratulations Feeling and kittiker!!!

loving all this baby news, keep it coming ladies :)

One of girls on my NCT course gave birth this morning, bit of a shock to them as they weren't due till end of June, but all well :)

leanne963 · 14/05/2015 15:17

So just had midwife appointment and they think baby is breech, couldn't be 100% sure so in am having a scan tomorrow at 12! lol typical after buying my tens machine and a maternity bikini top for my water birth haha! But we will have to see what happens, definitely don't want an ECV so I'm taking hospital bags just incase! Went into my MW appointment so confident like 'yeah I can feel her low down in my pelvis' and she was like 'yeah you aren't engaged at all' lol!

leanne963 · 14/05/2015 15:21

Aww sorry feeling I posted before refreshing! Congratulations!!!! X

Sunshinesaz86 · 14/05/2015 15:34

Oh I hope u don't go over chook especially not until June. Fx for u.

leanne what a nightmare for u! Don't blame u for not wanting them try and turn her. I hope all goes well tomoro. Keep us posted.

Bazza2 · 14/05/2015 15:58

Yay congratulations feeling and kittiker!

KittyVonCatsington · 14/05/2015 16:28

Great to hear there is an end in sight Chicken Grin

Fantastic news about Magnus kittiker you star you! Star

Chookford · 14/05/2015 16:28

leanne sorry to hear you may not get your water birth but as you say they are not 100% sure baby is breech so fx she is right way up! Mine only turned last week so even if she is you may still get a natural birth!

Thanks sun I'm really hoping this one will be early but at the back of my mind I have a feeling I'll go over again, which isn't great but as long as they are ok then I'll deal with it! Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 14/05/2015 16:32

Welcome to the world Thomas! Good job feeling! Flowers

Keep us updated leanne fingers crossed she turns x

Second babies can arrive faster chook Grin

Hope your nct friend is ok apple? V scary.

Scottishgal78 · 14/05/2015 16:47

Congratulations feeling and kittiker.

Aw Leanne that's rubbish. Get on spinning babies and try some of their moves.

I'm all checked in and had my first tablet. Nothing happened so far!

Threesoundslikealot · 14/05/2015 16:55

Hurray, Feeling and Kittiker! Looking forward to the birth stories very much.

Fingers crossed for a spinning baby, Leanne and a speedy birth Scottish.

Chook, my second was almost two weeks earlier than my first. This one is keeping me waiting again though! Grin

Had a sweep this morning. Nothing really happening, not even a show, but the baby's head is very, very low. 40+5 and counting. No mention of booking an induction or even seeing a consultant though, which was nice.

cuphat · 14/05/2015 18:25

Congrats feeling!

Leanne, that's what happened to me last time. Bought a tens machine and had everything packed and ready for a water birth and found out she was breech at 38 weeks so it's gone unused! Fingers crossed she isn't actually breech or turns.

Justyouwaitandsee · 14/05/2015 22:13

Aww congrats kittiker and feeling - lovely names!

leanne I remember talking about our very similar birth plans and our aim for water births and definitely wanting to avoid giving birth on our backs. It might be useful for you to remember my experience - after it took so long to get my contractions going, the MW was really concerned that getting in the water would slow them right back down again or even stall labour. After I began pushing, I said I wanted to try a standing or a squat birth but she said that my pushing was too strong and there was a risk that in those positions the baby would come too quickly. I eventually did give birth on my back and very quickly in only 25mins. I would definitely say that while it is good to have an idea of what you would like, it is also important to be adaptable to your indiv circumstances and to listen to the midwife's advice and expertise. whatever happens, try to keep focused on the end goal and at each stage of birth assess your options, ask questions and decide the best way forward for you. Sending big hugs Flowers xxx

leanne963 · 14/05/2015 23:04

Oh just I completely agree :) I had the 'ideal' situation as far as a birth plan goes but whatever happens happens. I am thinking that at least if she is breech they can get me in for a c-section asap and I can meet her sooner. Ha! Selfish of me I know, but I am getting impatient! Thank you for the virtual hug :)

cuphat this is my punishment for trying to be over prepared haha!!

Thank you three scottish kitty chook and sunshine we will see whether she is right way tomorrow! got a feeling this girlie is gonna keep me on my toes Haa!
