sunshine oh bless you, it really is an uncomfortable time! I peed 5 times last night in about an hour and that was while I was trying to get to sleep and changing positions while getting kicked fiercely and having terrible fanny daggers! It's tough! Fingers crossed your LO comes soon!!

kitty haha I know, it's fab and so light! Only thing that worried me was that the seat on the pram part didn't look very deep, so now I am doubting the longevity of the pram! When do kids start using a stroller instead of a big pram?!

Aww tori did they say why they think the movements have reduced? It's good you are being looked after though and like you said, at least everything can now be controlled and there shouldn't be any uncertainty! Wishing you all the best!

Chookford · 13/05/2015 13:16

feeling hope all is ok...

tori sorry to hear you may be induced but as you say whatever is best for you and your son, and you will soon be having lovely snuggles with him...

Scottishgal78 · 13/05/2015 13:48

tori sorry to hear that too. I'm choosing to be philosophical about being induced. The control element suits my personality and at the end of the day I know it's for the best. Also meant I could get my hair done today and know my roots won't be in until I'm capable of dealing with them Grin

Scottishgal78 · 13/05/2015 13:49

Oh and thanks for all the well wishes everyone'

tori when they first told me they were monitoring my bp and it shot up. Now I've had time to process it I'm more excited than scared!

Glad you're all booked in tori. I think an induction is for the best. I know plenty of people who have had positive experiences with them. I might be joining you if dd2 decides to take her time. Booked in for 4 june.

Congratulations kerplunked!

leanne whenever suits you really. There are strollers suitable from birth, 6 months and 1 year. I had one from about 18 months but dd still used the big pushchair too till about 3yo. Depended where we were going whether folding or ability to handle rough terrain was the most important.

TotallyKerplunked · 13/05/2015 19:11

Hi Scottishgal78, I hope your induction goes well, I had pre-eclampsia from 31 weeks DC1 and 34 weeks this pregnancy and as a result been induced both times before my due date.

My experience both times was a very speedy delivery, apparently if you have high BP you tend to labour faster as the only way for your body to “fix itself” is to deliver the placenta ASAP. I was induced both times with the pessary which started contractions off within a couple of hours and things progressed fast. With this pregnancy I had already had an agreement for an early epidural (as a result of PTSD from DC1 delivery) but as a result of how fast it went I never had time and delivered with just a shot of pethidine and I didn't even get any gas and air! I had a very supportive midwife team this time round and although it was even faster than DC1 delivery it was over quickly with no complications and I was out of hospital the following day.

Hope that helps!

Scottishgal78 · 13/05/2015 20:55

Aw thanks for sharing totally. I like the sound of quick! I've decided to take it as it comes.

Scottishgal78 · 13/05/2015 21:02

Sorry a question totally. I'm assuming because it's pre eclampsia I won't be able to be that active. Will I be hooked up to a BP monitor throughout?

applecore0317 · 13/05/2015 21:10

Good that you have a date Tori and you'll have little man I'm your arms soon.

Hope everything goes well Scottish, looking forward to more baby pictures :)

Had horrible fanny daggers this morning whilst I was out and about, never had them that strong before. Eased off when I got home.

leanne963 · 13/05/2015 21:18

apple I've been getting them much worse recently! walking round the shops was near impossible I was shuffling as I was scared to part my legs too wide and was trying to clench my lady area to get through the pain!! They bloody hurt don't they?! one of the many things that was never talked about prior to getting pregnant haha

Chookford · 13/05/2015 21:28

tori glad you have a date, not long now!

scottish look forward to hearing your news soon too!

apple and leanne I had the same today too, walking around the shops I had to stop myself from crying out loud at one point! They really are unpleasant aren't they!!

TotallyKerplunked · 13/05/2015 22:01

Hi Scottishgal I don't know if your hospital will be very different but at mine it was intermittent monitoring - before pessary, when contractions started and at a few points during. I kept as active as I wanted and was encouraged to try different positions but preferred being on my back. Ensure they do do regular checks as your bp can change rapidly, my first delivery I had no checks due to an error and ended up with a very medicalised delivery when eventually checked and my bp was dangerously high. Good luck and let us know how you get on,

Scottishgal78 · 13/05/2015 22:09

Oh that's good to hear totally. I'd hate to be stuck just waiting. My BP is actually high. Only symptom I have is my blood work. Doesn't mean it won't change during labour I suppose.

applecore0317 · 13/05/2015 22:11

Ha Ha leanne and chook I have to laugh at the image of us walking around the shops, legs clenched together and face probably looking like we are constipated...

Chickenfillets · 14/05/2015 07:43

Finally got a date for my induction this Monday! So excited but a bit nervous. 1-2cm dilated and 70% effaced baby not engaged. Does this mean I'm favourable?

piglet81 · 14/05/2015 08:27

Good luck everyone with impending section/induction dates. So exciting to see more mini Maysters arriving!

Sorry for those suffering from the fanny daggers etc - keep strong, you can do it Smile

applecore0317 · 14/05/2015 08:43

Great news Chicken I assume so, if your cervix is soft and they were able to do the sweep the other day then you should be classed as favourable :)

Chookford · 14/05/2015 09:59

Good news chicken not long now!! More babies on the way, so exciting!

kittiker · 14/05/2015 11:47

So yeah, didn't make it to the sweep yesterday - I had the baby instead! Magnus Alexander arrived at 13.48, weighing 8lbs 12 oz and he is wonderful. I'll share our (pretty exciting) birth story in a bit.

Hope everyone is well today. K x

leanne963 · 14/05/2015 11:51

Ahhhh kittiker Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you!!! xx

Chookford · 14/05/2015 12:09
