Hi gang

Thinking of those of you having a tough time. Hope some of these babies hurry up and make an appearance!

39+6 here and no signs, really. Feel hormonal and weepy (sort of premenstrual), bump keeps going rock solid and I've had a bit of dull achiness but I don't feel like anything's imminent.

Blondie87 · 05/05/2015 09:02

Sounds like a rubbish night Leanne. Hope you sleep better tonight. I had some painful BH in the night bit I've been using the breathing I've learnt in hypnobirthing to get through it and it definitely has helped. Maybe look up some relaxation techniques?

Hope the ECV is succssful Bazza- not sure what itis though!

Kitty any twinges? Nothing really new here, think my body is prepping for labour but certainly of there yet. I have decided to try and just enjoy each day, making the most of the free time I have! Plan to go and see 'Far from the madding crowd' and visit an art gallery!

Piglet maybe you should watch a weepy film, might be cathartic!

SmileyScooby · 05/05/2015 09:46

Chicken welcome back! You sound so similar to me re the hips etc - you are not alone several of us suffering with that! Oh and apparently I got a big whopper too!

sunshine sorry you suffering with the knuckles...can't say I have experienced that myself.

bazza good luck with the ecv.

Leanne I too had a really bad night, barely slept. Baby was wriggling, hips were hurting within an hour of lying on one side so was tossing and turning. DH was snoring which also didn't help!! I hope the daggers died down a bit.

Kitty hope you aren't too uncomfortable with your puffed up vag

Tori hope you can get some rest and that the scan goes ok.

piglet am also getting rock solid bump. Am 39w tomorrow.

Netflix is the way to go definitely! That's how I've spent my morning so far :) am hoping I will be able to catch some Zzz during day today. However sounds like next door are DIYing it today grrrr

Chookford · 05/05/2015 09:48

bazza good luck with the ECV hope it works for you!! You have haribos to keep you going though Wink

leanne sorry to hear you are suffering, I found getting on all fours with bum higher than my head helps with my fanny daggers... Hope you managed to get some sleep in the end!

apple hope the puffiness has gone down some, it's not a nice side effect is it!

tori I'm with you on the hot flushes, they are waking me up every night!

Good luck to all those ladies now overdue or due immently! This last stretch is the hardest bit, but oh so worth every pain, niggle, symptom, sleepless night etc

Sunshinesaz86 · 05/05/2015 09:57

Morning ladies!

Sorry bazza didn't mean to panic u sure it'll all be fine. Good luck keep us posted!

Enjoy taking it easy blondie*

piglet sorry to hear your feeling emosh. Blinking hormones. Hope it passes soon for u and u get some baby signs.

Good luck for your scan tori let us know how it goes.

kitty I hope u get going soon, I can't think of anything more depressing than going over by another potential 2 weeks!

So I've had an email this morning from work saying my new car is being delivered tomoro, umm great but my old car is not ready to go back. I need some scratches sorting out and a valet so after midwife this morning I'm going to be trying to get quotes for damage done. What story do I tell head office as to why I can't accept the new car tho?? I really don't need this when I'm due in 9 days!! Grrr!

applecore0317 · 05/05/2015 10:00

Hope all of you that are overdue or about to hit your due date start getting something happening soon!

Sorry kitty have to laugh because have been getting the feeling like mine is rubbing together too! I can wear one ring at s time but not both and don't sleep wearing them just in case. Have you tried oil or washing up liquid to get your other one off?

Sorry you've had painful BH's Blondie, good that the hyonobirthing is working though. Am reading the book at the moment and trying to listen to the CD daily but didn't get a chance over the weekend.

Tori hope the scan goes well, and that you get a better nights sleep. I had hot restless legs last night and also found the hypnobirthing CD didn't help.

chook hope your hot flushes also ease off

Smiley have you got ear plugs?

piglet hope things start soon for you!

leanne963 · 05/05/2015 10:26

Thanks Kitty she did move but i got worried cause i got back into bed at 3am and she had a huge kick about and if i could guess i would think she was headbutting the top of my cervix and using her arms and legs to push off my stomach - thats how it felt lol but then she just went really quiet so obviously panicked. I was lying there for 5 minutes and couldn't feel her move so was like 'Shit please move again' then she started wriggling again. God i really am not getting on with this last stage, i just want her here now!

tori Thank you :) I got some sleep in the end!

blondie Good idea, i might look into that, i just feel like i am being such a wimp, its just some daggers and BH but because i KNOW it isn't labour my threshold is so low lol

smiley Are your hips starting to ache quicker too?! I cannot sleep on my left side anymore as my left hip will literally start to ache almost straight away!! Annoying about the neighbours, typical they start being noisy when you want a chilled day!

Chook Ha i did try that position and dog was looking at me strange on the living room floor ha, but as soon as i sat back upright again she was like POW right in the kisser lol I know it will be worth it, you are right, i just worry that i won't spot if something is wrong if i am experiencing non labour pain! Just a worrier really!

Piglet I felt emotional this morning too, saw a picture of my dog and wanted to cry at how cute she looked haha! You cried at anything silly yet?!

applecore0317 · 05/05/2015 12:15

Same here Leanne, I like to think I have been OK up until now, but the movement thing is on my mind a lot now, also would like her to hurry up

leanne963 · 05/05/2015 13:51

apple It's scary isn't it?! Cause we are so close to meeting our babies but I am still scared something might go wrong! Also when I know I am in labour I will accept the pain as normal, but cause I know I'm not in labour I am questioning every pain and sympton checking on Google is the worst thing to do at 3 am in the morning lol!

SmileyScooby · 05/05/2015 13:55

apple dammit I knew there was something I meant to pick up at the shops. Will add earplugs to next list as need for hospital anyway!

Leanne yep am also suffering almost instantly with the hips and the panicking re movement. Just want my little man here and really hope this last stage doesn't go on forever.

KittyVonCatsington · 05/05/2015 14:07

So pleased I am not alone at this stage worrying about movement/Baby. I was saying to DH yesterday that the longer I go over EDD, the more I am scared my 'luck' will run out with Baby and something will go wrong. Totally irrational I know!!!

Deep breaths needed Grin

leanne963 · 05/05/2015 14:34

Oh Kitty It feels good to hear someone else say that, i almost feel like if i posted what i said elsewhere on MN someone would say 'Go seek help, you are clearly over anxious' haha! So i am glad you, smiley and apple are all feeling the same way! Now i know why everyone says the second trimester is the easiest bit!!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/05/2015 18:02

Hi everyone, hope everyone with twinges is doing okay and those in labour are nearly there.

Anxious ladies, im the same, think 2+ years ttc plus 2 miscarriages makes me more paranoid. But were all nearly there and it will all be worth it..,

Blondie87 · 05/05/2015 18:10

When it's your baby it is so normal to worry! I drive my DH mad with my need for constant reassurance!

I think we'll be worrying for the next.... rest of our lives!

Chookford · 05/05/2015 18:26

You will worry about them for the rest of your lives now, for one reason or another! That's just being a parent, but the joy they bring out ways the worry and stress ( most of the time anyway! Wink)

leanne963 · 05/05/2015 20:33

Heya gingerbread I'm sorry for your losses, I think my previous MC is what is making me so anxious too!

blondie yes definite worrying for the rest of our lives, I already don't know how I will sleep when she is really little cause I will feel the urge to check she is breathing constantly!!

chook I'm gonna be a mess lol!!

Argh some guy commented on a status I put up about how much pain I was in last night with kicks and cervical pains and he commented 'oh you think THATS painful ha' I know it was a well meaning comment but I feel annoyed. YES I KNOW labour will be a million times worse but I am allowed to have a moan and YOU do not have small person inside you kicking your sensitive balls from the inside so don't tell me my moans are unjustified. Sorry I feel piss. Just stepped In spilt dog water in clean socks that I literally put on 5 mins ago and then spilt hot tea all over my hand Angry

Bazza2 · 05/05/2015 20:41

With you all on the worrying about movement. I find myself panicking about it and then remember that ten minutes earlier I've probably been watching him go mental in there.

ECV today didn't work. It was so painful that we all thought it best to stop and I've been booked in for a section on May 21st.

applecore0317 · 05/05/2015 20:55

Just ignore him Leanne, or threaten to kick him in the balls and see how he fairs!!

Sorry the ECV didn't work bazza, glad you have a date for the c section though.

Scottishgal78 · 05/05/2015 20:56

Ah sorry it didn't work bazza. How are you feeling about a section?

leanne963 · 05/05/2015 20:57

Sorry to hear that bazza but you have a date now and will meet your baby in a couple weeks :)

apple ha I might do!!!!

Ahh boo that's rubbish bazza glad they didn't spring c section on u and baby may turn before hand u never know.

leanne ppl on Facebook can be right idiots.
Sorry to the ladies who've had prior losses, if it helps there's a count the kicks app that's free it can help keep u reassured about movements?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/05/2015 21:19

Thanks leanne, most of my ladies on the old bird threads are in a similar position. I like apples suggestion!

Thats shit bazza, fx you go naturally before then.

Chookford · 05/05/2015 21:27

bazza sorry to hear it didn't work, but glad you have a section date, and you can plan around that..

leanne threaten to nail his balls to the floor, that should give him a slight indication of how it starts!! Idiot!
