Aww - good luck Bean! Hang on in there! Won't be long (hopefully) before you can both escape home! How is she feeding etc? When do they expect you to be able to leave?

Lovely to see Iris Jessie - she is beautiful! And glad you got some reassurance Tori - nothing like pregnancy worry is there?

I am wondering about going and getting checked out too. Although typically just as I typed that, bump decided it was time for another squirm! Perhaps I just need to keep threatening a trip to triage Wink

Sunshinesaz86 · 01/05/2015 19:11

Congrats bean did see this on Facebook also lovely pic.

Sorry to hear that tori never feel bad for worrying. It's hard when you've carried your baby for 9 months u don't want to risk anything, especially after a previous loss. Any issues always call mw just to be on safe side x

FeelingBlessed77 · 01/05/2015 19:43

I have got the worst groin pain tonight. anyone else feeling the same. looked on Internet and it's where the pelvis is moving apart to help with labour. lovely.

Snooky17 · 01/05/2015 20:02

I will join you in the groin pain, bloody hurts today, think baby has moved down a bit too, lost a bit of mucus plug, that stuff is really disgusting lol.
Tori it's understandable for you to be scared, I've got anterior placenta and miss out on loads of movements, I've had 1 MC and 1mmc so understand how it feels like you can't trust your body, like others have said any issues don't feel bad for just calling the MW.
Grr got earache, or possibly toothache/sinus thing.

meringue33 · 01/05/2015 20:16

Congratulations to everyone who has popped!

39w here today. DC1 was born at 37+2 so was not expecting to go this long! Debating sweep or not!!

Also bit worried about going into labour this weekend when lots of roads are closed around us due to a special event :-)

Blondie87 · 01/05/2015 20:17

Ah Jessi she is cute! How wonderful.

I can identify with the worry- we are the only ones who can feel/look after our babies atm so it's part of the job description!

Had a lovely day with DH- walk and pub lunch. Tonight I've been having regular, painless tightenings for about 1hr 10 mins apart. I know it's not labour as apart from plug loss this week I've had no other signs. Has anyone had this? Just wondering if it indicates whether I am heading towards labour- 38w today.

Scottishgal78 · 02/05/2015 07:59

Congratulations Bradders! Anyone feeling anything labour like today? Could be born the same day as the royal baby!

Justyouwaitandsee · 02/05/2015 08:07

Morning scottish - no signs here at 40+4 Sad Starting to wish for baby to make an appearance now.

Is anyone else now past their due date?

Justyouwaitandsee · 02/05/2015 08:09

Oops - yup I can add to facebook If you pm me the email address you use on there...

Blondie87 · 02/05/2015 08:31

Congratulations Bradders! Very glad he came on his terms, good boy!

I'm still contracting regularly but not very painful so I think this is practice labour! I guess time will tell.

cuphat · 02/05/2015 08:46

Congratulations bradders!

Thewildones, I'm worrying about baby making an appearance before my section date. They said I'll still have a section if I get there in time but I hope it doesn't come to that.

SmileyScooby · 02/05/2015 09:29

Mornin all, haven't posted on here for a couple of days but have been on fb and boy haven't you all been busy bees on this thread!! Babies really are appearing thick and fast!!

Leanne your post was basically mine and DH's reaction yesterday morning! Can't believe we are finally in May...11 days to go for me until due date!! I know what you mean about the pretending thing...even though it's like I've got an alien inside me it still doesn't seem real!!

Kitty I too am sleeping with a towel underneath me, got some maternity mats from boots which I will put under sheets as well. Have also got towel and mat on sofa as well hehe as Dr said to me that if my waters go before hospital they will just go I won't be a trickler!

mum hope Leo isn't re admitted x

shiny hope baby stays put so DH can definitely be there x

piglet glad you can use birth centre like you want to....mmmmm poptarts.....haven't had them for years.....may have to add to shopping list today!!

steph yay for maternity leave!!

Jessie Iris looks lovely and glad she is being a good baby :)

Tori never feel bad for bothering them, from what I have heard they would rather check you lots of times and it be nothin wrong etc

Bradders congratulations!!!

Hope I haven't missed anything!!

Is losing plug first real sign to look out for? As far as I know haven't lost it yet but had more discharge. Last night was being given the fanny daggers whilst watching TV and kicked near ribs. Getting the daggers again this morning too :(

KittyVonCatsington · 02/05/2015 10:01

Smiley - I've had a big increase in yellow discharge over the past few days-I've ready some say it is the start of a show but until it's pinky/red, I don't think it means action stations! Oh and I too hate lightening crotch!

Bean Hooray for Baby Juno!! Flowers

bradders Congratulations, lovely! Flowers

Just My due date is tomorrow so not quite as far on as you but 80% of women will go into labour naturally up to two weeks after DDay and only 5% go into labour on their DDay so we have every chance of it happening before the two weeks are up. Fingers Crossed!!!!!

mumxof3x · 02/05/2015 10:05

Congratulations on all the lovely new babies.

Smiley...plugs a strange one, some people never notice one, some people notice it well into labour, some lose it for ages and ages like me, and some will lose it and go into labour in the following hours/days. So wouldnt always say its the first sign. It is kind of the first thing ive always had but it starts way before labour so not an imminent thing for me.

Iv realised iv still not wrote my birth story up. I will do it on the postnatal thread some point today.

Good luck all with signs eeek. X

leanne963 · 02/05/2015 10:13

Argh I have posted twice and My phone has deleted the post grr so here goes again...

smiley I'm glad I'm not the only one, usually I have an amazing imagination but I can't imagine myself in labour lol! Also not noticed any plug but lots of CM and fanny daggers between 5-10 a day! Hurts lots!

bradders So happy for you, seems baby B wanted to come on his own terms!!

tori it is scary having the responsibility of knowing if something is wrong, I know everyone talks about lack of movements but I constantly have lots and lots of movements and I worry that I wouldn't know if she is in distress!

chook Have you used a Tens machine? I hear they are fab if used right at the beginning of contractions!

I keep going to bed, waking up feeling really refreshed and thinking it's like 6am but then when I check the time it's barely 1.30! Must be body getting used to cluster sleeps ha!!

Chookford · 02/05/2015 10:18

leanne yes I used one with dd, that's the only pain relief I had other than the birth pool when I got to hospital, so it worked well for me, think it's more of a distraction tool than actual pain relief but it did a good job distracting me! Smile

leanne963 · 02/05/2015 10:25

chook that sounds similar to what I want, stay at home as long as possible before getting into hospital and jumping (waddling) into the pool! I'm scared that if it does nothing I will blame DP for putting the pads on wrong or something haha

longestlurkerever · 02/05/2015 11:09

Congratulations jessie, bradders and bean! How lovely that so many babies are here now.

I didn't notice any plug with dd. She just arrived. Only symptom in the days leading up was looser poo lol but that can start happening weeks before.

36 weeks today. I feel well behind!

mumxof3x · 02/05/2015 11:14

Birth story up on postnatal for those who want to read. Its very rushed so some words a bit jumbled and theres a massive lack of punctuation etc lol, but takes forever on phone to do correctly.
