Thanks mum!

New princess is here. Guess she will share a birthday with someone?

Does anyone else feel really sick lately? Don't remember it with dd.

Congrats bradders on the birth of your son. After the wave of baby girls of friends and family last year, seems 2015 is the year of baby boys?

Our baby boy arrived at 2.49am today after two days of false labour and fourteen hours of contractions, followed by the threat of assisted delivery using forceps or suction cup, and then being prepped for cs - which really gave baby and I a kick up the backside and within minutes he was finally here!

Blondie I had tightenings ranging from half an hour to five minutes apart and then back to half an hour for two days with a show in the middle and old blood loss throughout, before going into full blown labour on day three. This was my third pg and my last labour was only two hours long!

Good luck to all May babies, routing for you.

longestlurkerever · 02/05/2015 12:10

Congratulations aneesa!

tori you have had a rough ride throughout. Would they consider an earlier induction because of spd?

Chookford · 02/05/2015 12:17

aneesa congrats on the birth of your son, lovely news...

Yrs I reckon they would induce on your due date if that's tge case. I am only allowed to go to 40+6 because of gd even though growth scans show average predicted weight. Good luck for scan.

Sudden panic the royal baby is going to pinch ny baby name! X

applecore0317 · 02/05/2015 12:47

Same here longest. No need for prunes at the moment lol, feeling spoilt!

Blondie87 · 02/05/2015 13:38

Congratulations Aneesa- how exciting! Thanks for the info on tightenings.

Tori hope you get the answer you want!

SmileyScooby · 02/05/2015 13:42

Thanks for the plug advice/knowledge and am pleased to hear I'm not alone with the daggers and CM!
leanne I too am suffering with that sort of sleeping pattern!
aneesa congratulations on your baby boy!
tori they were talking about inducing me shortly after 40w if he hasn't come as also on 97 percentile and like you am not liking the idea of a big baby getting even bigger!! Think the only part of me that hasn't really gotten any bigger is my boobs!! They look tiny now!

mumxof3x · 02/05/2015 15:37

Congratulations aneesa x

Scottishgal78 · 02/05/2015 22:01

Congratulations aneesa! You'll get a coin!

Justyouwaitandsee · 02/05/2015 22:18

Ooh so hoping this isn't a second false alarm, but for the past six hours I've had increasing cramps, tightenings and contractions, a warm bath plus rest helped but didn't stop them and am now using my Tens machine and have just started feeling contractions through the stimulation. No show or sign of waters breaking as yet, apart from increased CM this morning...if this is it, then I think we are only in the early stages so can't see there will be any chance of qualifying for the silver coin. Going to try and get some sleep and see if the pains miraculously disappear overnight as they have done before...

Anyone else having any signs?!

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/05/2015 22:38

Ooh good luck just I hope it's not a false alarm. Keep us posted.

Congrats aneesa lovely news.

I've really struggled today with general aches and lots of pressure, first time I've started with mild period pain and uncomfy back today which I'm taking as positive as not other niggles until now! 38+2 so I don't feel anything is imminent just pleased I'm getting something at least! Grin

longestlurkerever · 02/05/2015 23:10

Good luckJust!

applecore0317 · 03/05/2015 01:01

teachermummy2b · 03/05/2015 03:59

Fingers crossed this is it just!

Chookford · 03/05/2015 04:55

Good luck just hope this is it!

Anyone else suffering from a blocked nose this pregnancy have any tips on getting some sleep with it? It's really starting to get me down now, I haven't had a decent amount of sleep in weeks because of it, I've tried most things but nothing seems to be working.... I just want a few hours of un-interrupted sleep surely that's not to much to ask!!!Hmm

TwinkleTee · 03/05/2015 05:11

oooh good luck just! keep us up to date! Star

Meanwhile I cant seem to get through the night without munching on some cereal super early in the morning..... So starving! Little bean is definitely commandeering all my nutrients..

chook I had a blocked nose through most of pregnancy, but its mysteriously gone away now.... the only thing that gave me relief was olbas oil on a tissue by the bed.... slept with my mouth open for months Sad

Justyouwaitandsee · 03/05/2015 05:39

Hi everyone, well the contractions are still coming. Managed to get some sleep between 11-1 and then up to 3.30ish. They are coming every 4-5mins and lasting 45secs to 1min. Not too painful though and my tens machine is really helping me to stay relaxed. I called triage about an hour ago but she said until they take my breath away or prevent me from walking, and are coming every 2-3mins then I don't need to come in. Am feeling sleepy again now but not meant to sleep whilst using the tens and don't want to take it off again!

applecore0317 · 03/05/2015 05:49

Sounds like things are progressing Just, glad the Tens machine is helping :) hope that baby doesn't keep you waiting too long.

Chook When I get a blocked nose I find that sleeping slightly upright helps and also like Twinkle said, Olbas oil on the pillow. I also rubbed vicks on my nose when desperate.

FeelingBlessed77 · 03/05/2015 07:42

Good luck just. hope everything goes ok for you.

Good luck just. Hope you managed to get some more sleep.

Think I'm in a similar situation to you sunshine. Have had period like pains in my back and lower tummy since yesterday lunchtime, increased cm and then some very lightly painful tightenings through the night with not pattern or consistency. They haven't increased in strength either. Was slightly worried waters had started going but think I'd just been sweating heavily (yuck - apologies!) when I woke in the middle of the night. 38+5 today. Hubby still with some shingle spots so hoping to hang on!

Keep us posted on the symptom spotting everyone. Very helpful and reassuring to compare! xx

Oooh just how exciting :) fingers crossed the contractions are the real deal and baby J can be here very soon!

chook I had terrible allergic rhinitis before getting pregnant and was on steroid nasal spray and antihistamines just to be able to breath but obviously since pregnancy can't take that! So the Sterimar water spray is good for clearing out my nose throughout the day!

twinkle haha I am having a huge bowl of cereal before bed and a huge one first thing in the morning ha constantly eating!!

No signs here! Just a constant achy back but that is just due to the excess weight probably!
