Jmac and Joey I'm also in London and will also struggle to hide the fact I'm pregnant as I often have work functions/social engagements involving alcohol. I have an exam on Friday and am due to see a group of girlfriends afterwards to celebrate (it has been planned for weeks) - they are going to guess as soon as I decline a glass of fizz at my own celebrations! I don't think it matters though - if you want to tell people (especially those who will support you) then do. If you don't want people to know then make up an excuse and don't worry about bending the truth.

In terms of symptoms, I'm very tired and also have light nausea and a slightly unsettled stomach. What I'm struggling with is the dilemma between wanting to see symptoms that reassure that all is ok, but also dreading any symptoms that might indicate a problem. It's a pretty tiring business!

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/05/2015 12:47

I'm in kent, private scan will be £75 so it looks like i'll be learning to be patient until 12 weeks! Mine will be around the end of June as well.

Symptoms, nausea, which has got worse yesterday night and today. Upset stomach which has settled down, feeling very bloated. I've stopped wearing jeans to work, sitting in them all day was uncomfortable. They are ok if I'm just popping out. I don't think I've had a decent nights sleep in ages and I have turned into a really light sleeper. I could sleep through a storm, the dog so much as farts and I'm wide awake!

CarrotVan · 12/05/2015 12:48

There's an obstetric ultrasound programme at the University of Cumbria - I wonder if they ever need people to train on?

CarrotVan · 12/05/2015 12:53

edgar I called a week and half ago and am still waiting for an appointment letter for an appointment I will probably need to reschedule to a time when I can get away from work.

The NHS is many wonderful things but the service assumes you can be a professional patient. For example the midwife clinic at my GP surgery is 12-2 on a Tuesday which is no use at all if you don't work locally. I'm going to have to push to have antenatal care at my local hospital (which does antenatal, EPU and scans but no births) as they at least have morning clinics

Joey0805 · 12/05/2015 13:45

Ps I am also 5+6 - so many of us are exactly the same!

Mummyofonesofar · 12/05/2015 14:01

I am going to starts a stats sheet for us all. Could everyone please post an update of:

Name, Age, DC #, Months TTC, BFP date/DPOs, booking in date (if you have one), scan date (if you have one) & EDD?

Any other columns you ladies would like?

Mummyofonesofar · 12/05/2015 14:19

And location maybe?

crumble74 · 12/05/2015 14:22

Wow, so busy here, that's great! Sorry if I can't mention everyone individually at the moment! I've booked a private scan for 27/5 (£120! Ouch!) Mainly due to MMC in the past.
Re morning sickness - don't

goodnessgraciousgouda · 12/05/2015 14:23

Good plan.

Name: Gouda
Age: 30
DC: first
BFP date: 1st May

Not sure what a booking in date is. I don't think we have that here.

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/05/2015 14:24

Mummyofone, my details:

Name: Loveulots

BFP: 30th April
EDD: 10th January 2016

OTheHugeManatee · 12/05/2015 14:25

OTHM - age 36, 6 months TTC, BFP yesterday. EDD 11 Jan (or 14 Jan depending on the calculator I used Hmm ). I'm in Bedfordshire, work in London. Seeing the midwife on 23 June. This is my first Smile

Mummyofonesofar · 12/05/2015 14:27

Booking in date is the first appointment with the midwife where they "book you in" to the system and take your initial bloods and what-not

crumble74 · 12/05/2015 14:27

Oops, posted too soon sorry!
Re morning sickness- It is a very real & in some cases debilitating symptom of pregnancy but it does not affect every woman! I was never sick with DS and it was a super happy pregnancy. I used to wish morning sickness on myself in the early days when I worried but it just doesn't happen to everyone. It annoys me in films when every pregnant woman is seen throwing up! I did have food aversions/cravings though!

BlueEspoir · 12/05/2015 14:35

My stats are:
Name: Blue
Age: 30
Location: London
DC #: 0 (will be our 1st)
Months TTC: 3
BFP date: 5 May
Booking in date/scan date: TBC
EDD: 7 Jan (TBC)

Another column we could add is MC# as I think a few of us have had them.

Mummyofonesofar · 12/05/2015 14:36

STAS

Mummyofonesofar · 12/05/2015 14:40

I have added the MC column, also called the DC one PG with DC # so there is no confusion! Also a boy/girl column after scan dates!

DC#: 2
BFP: 1st May
TTC since: Jan 16
EDD: 4.1.16 (but I think this will change!)
Scan date: today!

Thanks, mum, for doing the stats.

Just back from scan, all looks ok for dates. There was a vague flicker of a heartbeat that we could just about see. Have got another scan next Tuesday and they will then be every two weeks until dating scan. I'm feeling much more reassured now, but just want to get to 12 weeks!

FizzyPinkWine · 12/05/2015 16:02

Forgot to add
MC: 3

CarrotVan · 12/05/2015 16:09

BlueEspoir · 12/05/2015 16:09

Yes - thanks Mum. Please also add 1MC for me.

Great news Fizzy!
