I'm loving pickled things at the moment - cheese & pickle sandwiches, pickled beetroot, gherkins etc. Also soft doughy things like bread rolls and brioche. Generally speaking though I could just eat constantly! Hmm

chops I didn't have to provide a sample to my GP, I thought they generally just accept it if you tell them you're pregnant. Maybe yours is a bit more suspicious!

whatsforye I remember being right off fruit/herbal tea last time - so annoying when you can't drink much caffeine either. All I wanted to drink were those Frijj milkshakes Blush

Woohoo metal - result! Another tiny bean swimming on a screen - tick! Brilliant. Thinking of swimming and sweets - Fx for good news all round.

I can't even think as far as our scan on Monday yet, still in holiday mode. Symptoms are drifting in and out but exhaustion is a permenent fixture. Have got quite used to having a nap in the afternoon on hols - especially as it seems to help the nausea no end and means I can actually manage to eat in the evenings. Dreading being back at work next week! How are others managing under scrutiny at work - any eyebrows raised yet?

FlorIxora · 23/04/2015 19:36

Am I too late to hop on this bus? (I didn't know there was a bus)

abi2790 · 23/04/2015 19:48

I second the blocked nose. I don't have it this time but with ds I had a constant blocked nose (I couldn't breathe through it all all) for months. It was horrible!

ThreeBeanRap · 23/04/2015 20:08

Welcome and congrats florlxora!

megarobot I have a job that involves a lot of social events and have been worried about people noticing I'm not drinking (or smoking!) but nobody seems to have cottoned on yet - one guy made a joke about it today but I think I laughed it off ok! Would like to get to12 weeks before I tell them although my boss is great.

Good luck to all those with scans, I had cramps and spotting a couple of weeks ago and all was fine. Fingers crossed for good results.

TheMshipIsBack · 23/04/2015 20:29

Well ladies, I've just joined the spotting club, though I'm afraid it's a bit more than just that. Might be on my way out.

goneswimming · 23/04/2015 20:45

Thanks for all the support ladies, unfortunately it's not a great outcome for me and my husband today. He flew home early to be with me, and we're holding on to each other for support now. Best wishes to all you lovely mummies-to-be, I hope you have a healthy and happy nine months and a lifetime of joy with your babies. Xxx

Fizzie100 · 23/04/2015 20:53

I'm so sorry swimming. I know just how you feel and my thoughts are with you both. My advice would be so whatever feels right for you right now and be as kind to yourself as you possibly can be. I'm so glad your husband is there to hug you. Take care xxxx

Oh swimming, I'm so sorry to hear that. Flowers Take it easy. It's good your husband is there, and it's almost the weekend so you can burrow in together for a few days.

Thank you abi. DH has gone out to get me some pads and treats. I'm ok at the moment, no pain and the bleeding seems to have stopped, but I have a strong feeling that this is just the beginning.

TheMshipIsBack · 23/04/2015 21:16

TerryTheGreenHorse · 23/04/2015 21:46

Swimming i am really sorry to hear your news.

I'm glad your DH was able to come home to be with you.

dojo123 · 23/04/2015 21:48

On the craving front it's sour stuff. Sour sweets, grapefruit, lemon and limes. Anything that is strong, now I'm reading about pickles I'm thinking that could work too. Have some pickled cucumbers in the fridge that my SIL made for me.

TheMshipIsBack · 23/04/2015 22:14

DH says "Tena is not the name of an incontinent old lady. They should have called them Ethels." Grin

Bit uncomfortable, bit nauseous, who knows what that means now. Just have to wait and see, I guess. Time for bed.

FlorIxora · 23/04/2015 22:17

Sorry to be hopping on the bus at such a trying time for some. Hope you have a great support network.

My stats: 31 yo, 1st TTC, now 5+3, if dates correct that would make me a 21st dec EDD, early scan (booked today) on 05/05.

8th day of cramping (no spotting), huge nipples, sore boobs, mild nausea, out-of-breathness, bloated as anything, gassy as hell.

Cravings - just food, almost any food, but particularly junk food. (turning into a barrel of woman). I wanted pickles early tonight but couldn't open the jar.
Aversions - couldn't look at eggs last week, i'm ok this week.

That's me in short!
