Just had my scan, saw the little bean's heartbeat and everything's measuring bang on my dates (6+6 today), so I'm quite relieved! Still a long way to go obviously, but it's a step in the right direction.

Good luck sweets and gone, I hope you get some good news too!

Sweets27 · 23/04/2015 10:50

Oh congratulations metalhead, how exciting!! Smile Of course you're right that it's still early days, but so nice to have the reassurance that everything's going well so far.

chopsface · 23/04/2015 12:23

Yay metal!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 23/04/2015 13:14

Congratulations metal.

FX to all having scans today, really hope you get some good news.

Sweets27 · 23/04/2015 13:34

swimming, are you there? Your scan was this morning, right? Hope it was good news, let us know anyway - been thinking of you!

LiverbirdNo1 · 23/04/2015 13:38

Hello all, may I tentatively join you? We had ICSI + PGD, found out I was pregnant on 1st April and then have had a early scan this morning at 7w3d - so relieved to see all was ok with baby, measuring right for dates with a strong heartbeat! But very aware it's still early days, quite anxious to make it past 12 week scan at the moment! I'm due 8th December though I don't think it will sink in for a while yet!

TheMshipIsBack · 23/04/2015 13:43

Hi Liverbird, you've got the same due date as me Smile. Congratulations on your positive scan - it's a long journey for those who need help to get pregnant. Your risk drops every day, and before you know it you'll be holding your baby.

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 23/04/2015 14:20

Lovely news, metal - must've been lovely to see.

sweets GOOD LUCK!!

And thinking of swimming

WaitingForEgg · 23/04/2015 14:34

Just had a tiny bit of spotting and totally freaked out, Had a bit of a cramp feeling and a few dots... trying to keep calm Sad

Sweets27 · 23/04/2015 15:04

Welcome to the spotting club waiting Smile keep calm!! Flowers

abi2790 · 23/04/2015 15:15

Good luck today sweets.

Waiting I hope it's nothing to worry about. Have you spoken to your midwife? I've had lots of cramping (seems to have stopped now) but no spotting and it always had me worrying.

That's great news metal Grin

I feel so unwell today Sad

WaitingForEgg · 23/04/2015 15:29

Sweets it's not the best club is it, trying to keep calm
Abi no midwife yet, got back from Australia today and still not registered with a GP as we have recently moved. Gonna sort out the paperwork today
Metal what fantastic news!

TheMshipIsBack · 23/04/2015 15:36

I cramped like crazy for the first two weeks. Drove me nuts. Mostly done now. Spotting is quite normal, I had that with my first.

Hi ladies, fingers crossed for those with scans/spotting.

metal that's fab, must've been amazing to see your bean.

I fell asleep during my free this afternoon when I should've been marking my year 8's books. Roll on the weekend!

Feeling really sick, but not actually been sick yet, but it doesn't stArt till about 11am then gets worse through the afternoon.

Got to bake some birthday cakes for tomorrow, but all I feel like doing is crawling under a duvet.

Fizzie100 · 23/04/2015 17:04

Metal that's fab news. Hope your scan goes well tonight sweets.
I'm just 6 weeks and worried I don't have enough symptoms for everything to be ok. Do feel bloated and have a weird pulling feeling in my tummy but not cramps. Have got severe blocked nose and sneezing and nighttime like my last pg before I MC and very gassy so maybe that's just my symptoms. Almost wish I could have morning sickness to reassure myself! Booking scan for 8 weeks which may actually put me at 7 weeks 4 due to my Ov dates. Want more than anything to see something positive. Only 2 weeks to wait.

HariboBrenshnio · 23/04/2015 17:34

Sweets thinking of you, hope your scan is going well.

I just drifted off to sleep today and DS woke up from his nap. I'm so so tired. Bring on second trimester so I can get some energy back. Thinking of those of you are spotting and cramping. It's worrying but totally normal.

Jebel · 23/04/2015 18:16

Thinking of sweets and swimming

Hope all ok egg

Great news metal and liverbird

Fizzie the weird pulling is normal, I remember throughout my last pregnancy feeling like my insides were tearing when I turned over and have had it a couple of times recently. I also had a blocked / runny nose all the time, it was my first symptom!

Shiny abi I am also feeling really sick, getting worse every day (and all night), just hope it is a good sign.

sparkle that is tough but so glad DH is giving you an early scan treat!

haribo tiredness has also hit me.

sorry to those I have missed

Yes the nose thing, you just seem more full of stuff!

Still no symptoms for me, not a sausage.

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 23/04/2015 18:38

shiny that's weird, I feel the same as you sick-wise. Feel ok first thing (which is around 6am when DD wakes), then it hits around 10-11am and gets worse.

Cravings/aversions have landed too - made DH bring me a box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes home tonight even though I've not had a bowl in years Blush

For lunch I had two slices of toast topped with tomato puree, onion, sweetcorn and grated cheese all melted under the grill cos I REALLY wanted pizza. Then I dug out some onion rings from the freezer and ate them dunked in garlic sauce... Written down, it sounds bloody mad but it was So Good.

Last time I could only eat white stodge for a while - mashed potatoes, curly fries, thick white bread with lots of butter etc. And I couldn't drink water. And the very THOUGHT of lemon and ginger tea, which I used to love, made me want to violently hurl.

Anyone else?!

chopsface · 23/04/2015 18:56

Talking of lowered immune system, I have a massive coldsore!

what's I'm craving savoury stuff where I used to be a sweet tooth gal! Crisps instead of chocolate and cake. And certain things I used to love just don't taste right anymore.

orangemouth281 · 23/04/2015 19:18

I called my GP surgery today to get the number for the midwives to self refer as this is what I did last time. They said I have to provide a sample for testing first. Did anyone else have this?
