Yup to increased knicker watch!

nik glad you shared your news and your friend was excited, don't be too upset by people that aren't as excited. For some babies just aren't exciting and others may be struggling to get pregnant or have other issues going on.

I've not told my mum or dad yet. I know my mum will be really excited but as she lives so far away I want to wait till my scan. My dad will probably say something along the lines of " you'll never have any money now" but at least I'm expecting that!

With hope you are feeling ok this morning! The midwife described this phase of pregnancy as a hibernation phase, I'm just so tired all the time! At least that should get better soon.

ineedsomeinspiration · 09/05/2015 09:10

Morning ladies 10 weeks today for me!

Got a wedding to go to later. Got myself a lovely floaty top to cover the expanding waistline. Feel a bit bad as dh asked if I would drive so he could have a few drinks but I said no as hate driving tired and I know I'll be exhausted by the end of the day.

shinysparklythings · 09/05/2015 09:20

Ooh ineed we are date twins as I am 10 weeks today too :)

Enjoy the wedding!

ineedsomeinspiration · 09/05/2015 09:53

Will try my best, going to be weird without a few drinks.

Weirdly just got on the scales and the 4lbs I thought I'd put on a few weeks back has disappeared and no sickness to blame. My belly has got bigger though. Smile Going to have a bump a lot quicker this time.

shinysparklythings · 09/05/2015 10:25

I've lost 2.5kg but my belly looks bigger unfortunately I think it's bloat not baby yet took my first weekly pic today. So hopefully I will see some change over the next few weeks :)

Withalittlesparkle · 09/05/2015 10:31

Quick post - I'm back from my scan having seen my beautiful baby having a fidget Grin so relieved, measuring 9+2/3 which is what I thought rather than 10 weeks plus if I'd stuck to my lmp dates

shinysparklythings · 09/05/2015 10:45

Yay with that's lovely. X x

Fizzie100 · 09/05/2015 11:07

Inspiration enjoy the wedding - I'm at one too and it will be VERY boozy...although not for me! So tired already hehe x

TerryTheGreenHorse · 09/05/2015 11:28

Hi everyone, I had the scan today and all was well so I can start to accept is really happening now.

Sparkly was yours today as well?

Sweets27 · 09/05/2015 12:17

Hello, just a quick post from my weekend away. I'm glad everyone's scans are going well, congrats to all! Good luck at the weddings today... Smile

WaitingForEgg · 09/05/2015 13:01

Glad others have mentioned symptoms changing. My sickness is definitely better today and my boobs have calmed down a bit, it's making me nervous! Tempted to take another test just to be sure, even though there has been no bleeding, am I being silly?
Scan on Monday, hope that will help dampen the fear a little

TerryTheGreenHorse · 09/05/2015 13:28

If it makes anyone feel better I haven't had hardly anything, nota thing. I was really surprised to see the grape baby this morning to be honest I wouldn't know it was there!

claremccrory59 · 09/05/2015 14:17

Waitingforegg - I think symptoms definitely change from week to week. My boobs have calmed down but headaches are my new symptom this week. Still nauseous and tired though! Cx

MissMrsMummy · 09/05/2015 16:20

Hi ladies, can I join please? I am 6 weeks tomorrow. I have been reading the thread but too nervous to join as I had an early m/c last month. What symptoms did you all have at this stage?

So far I have had:
Mild nausea/tiredness starting at 2pm
Coffee tastes like dirt
Bloating (but I am having progesterone pessaries which cause this)
Starving
Sore boobs

Are these normal? Should I have any other symptoms?

Does anyone wake up some days and just not feel pregnant? I am so paranoid! I have a scan in 2 weeks and I am dreading that there is nothing there. But hopefully I'll be reassured.

Also, I had a hot bath last night then have read online that this could cause m/c or serious damage to the baby so I'm super worried. Someone please tell me it's ok?!

Hope everyone is having a nice day :-)

Xx

FlorIxora · 09/05/2015 16:27

Piece of advice to everyone: don't move whilst pregnant. It sucks.

I have to go to a birthday party this evening. Noone knows I'm pregnant there. So I'll have to bear with the puzzled looks at not staying dry. I am so tired I feel like weeping at the thought of going out of the house again.

Withalittlesparkle · 09/05/2015 18:00

Hi miss, welcome! Please try not to worry too much, your symptoms sound spot on but remember they'll probably come and go. As for a hot bath, the reason they say to avoid them is because of making it hard to regulate body temperature. Id say as long as it wasn't scalding you then you're fine (you'd probably be fine anyway)

Withalittlesparkle · 09/05/2015 18:00

Flora I moved with a baby, nightmare!!

MissMrsMummy · 09/05/2015 18:30

Thanks sparkle x

blueskygreengrass · 09/05/2015 19:19

Hi everyone! I'm 9+4, main symptoms are nausea/heart-burny thing (which gets worse in the evening) and really really tired. Have developed a talent for falling asleep on the sofa! Even though I'm not much bigger, I feel bigger, puffing around up stairs etc. Travelling seems to take it out of me. Bought some nighties today (ugh) as pyjamas now too tight on middle, but I think that's just bloat. I am ravenous; eating little and often does seem to help with sickness. Tried sea bands, but no good for me. Sickness isn't getting better but managing it more.

Got my letters from the hospital about booking in and first scan - exciting! Going to a wedding in a couple of weeks, so waiting as long as poss to dye hair (deal with the grey badger stripe, which my mother-in-law commented on today!) and threading. Feeling rough but trying to ride it out. Got my eye on some TopShop maternity jeans with 'sexy' stretchy waistband! Hugs to all - we can do this! xxx

blueskygreengrass · 09/05/2015 19:26

@MissMrsMummy All sounds normal to me! My symptoms lessen or worsen day by day, different things all at once! When we were TTC, I thought I'd have a hard time giving up coffee (and booze) but right now I can't even stomach decaf coffee. I wonder if our bodies tells us what we need, and what to stay clear of? I'm not really into the 'organic' thing, but had to change washing detergent last week as Fairy No-Bio smelt so toxic to me and made me gag. DH thought I was mad/preggers! Yes, tiredness hits me about 2pm too. Keep on trucking! x

TerryTheGreenHorse · 09/05/2015 20:12

The tiredness is horrible, Ive found it always goes by the second trimester which is def, the best one!

ineedsomeinspiration · 09/05/2015 21:25

Well im home and in bed and bloody shattered. It's an indian wedding so there's a part 2 tomorrow. DS is coming with us so will make sure I'm wearing flats to run round after him.

shinysparklythings · 10/05/2015 06:39

Welcome bluesky and miss I'm now 10+1 and my symptoms vary day to day. Some days I feel fine others not so good. I haven't actually been sick, but have felt sick for the majority of the last 5 weeks. I am so tired I barely make it to 8pm most nights. My boobies have grown but don't feel quite as sore as they did at the start or I'm just so used to it now I am still very burpy and produce far too much saliva. Am hoping these things ease a bit as I go into second trimester!

Hope you enjoyed the first bit of the wedding and the second bit hoes ok today. Good idea on wearing flats!

Today we are painting the feature wall in the lounge which first involves moving a big ikea bookshelf the 16 cubby hole ones that must have about 200+ books on itConfused

Hope everyone else has a nice day x x

Withalittlesparkle · 10/05/2015 07:51

Inspiration that sounds bonkers I'd be dead on my feet!

Metalhead · 10/05/2015 08:16

Welcome newbies and congrats to those with successful scans yesterday.

I said I wouldn't complain about feeling ill as long as everything was ok with the bean, but... I'm so fed up of feeling sick and tired and headachy all the time, I nearly cried this morning. I really hope things start to improve soon, I read that for some people it gets bets better once the placenta starts to take over at 10 weeks. Can't remember exactly when I felt better with DD, i think it was definitely by 14 weeks but hope I don't have to wait quite that long! 9+2 today.
