Congrats all who have had scans.

Have been to the doc today about my various meds and he's prescribed me antihistamines. He explained that if hayfever is exacerbating my asthma then it's ok to take them. It's just the over the counter ones not my usual strong ones but hopefully breathing will be easier.

FlorIxora · 06/05/2015 19:06

Jebel I have a spread too. And I am a first timer :(. I couldn't keep my "fat" trousers buttoned today when seated. too uncomfortable.

I am utterly shattered. I can't even imagine how some you cope with that ridiculous exhaustion + another child. You deserve medals.

I don't think I'd find the energy to run out of the house if it were on fire right now.

Jcandy · 06/05/2015 19:20

Had my scan today and it all went really well Smile Been pushed forward 3 days to 8+3, saw the heartbeat and it even moved a little bit Smile So so lovely to see I can't quite believe it!

Congratulations to their others with your scan too, it's amazing isn't it!

I've been a bit bloated so I'm uncomfortable in some trousers with the button done up, but not too bad so far

Withalittlesparkle · 06/05/2015 19:56

So pleased to see all this positive scan news!

My DS got involved with the morning sickness today, standing next to me patting my back as I threw up in to a bowl, kept saying "okay mummy" totally melted my heart!!

For ladies feeling the bloat have you tried the hair band trick? Gives you a little longer in normal clothes! I'm surprisingly ok in normal clothes, but enjoy getting in to my pjs more than normal

whohasnickedmyvodka · 06/05/2015 19:59

Had an early scan today so I now have a due date of Christmas day I'm still petrified just need to wait for the next scan 7+1

Sweets27 · 06/05/2015 20:05

Yay jcandy, glad it went well for you! Isn't it wonderful to see the little bean there on the scan with its little heartbeat? Smile

sparkle, your DS sounds like a little hero, bless him! Smile

And congratulations vodka, very glad the first scan went well.

ineedsomeinspiration · 06/05/2015 20:15

Hello ladies,

Lovely to hear all your scan news.

l am also looking bigger despite no weight gain. I'm well covered enough for people to be too unsure to comment though. With my first I didn't show till around 16 weeks and that was a tiny bump.

For those who can't poo do not drink prune juice, I tried it last time and the stuff is truly disgusting.

Anyone got sny adversions I've completely gone off my normal builders tea with no sugar on on the odd occasion I fancy a cup like it milky with sugar.

Midwife tomorrow at 9 + 5, starting to feel a bit more relaxed now.

Fizzie100 · 06/05/2015 20:16

Hi ladies, just catching up. So pleased for all the lovely scan news which I too can report on now hurrah! We had our scan tonight and saw our little bean measuring 7+5 with a lovely strong heartbeat. EDD 18th Dec. I cried and cried with relief after last time and the sonographer just kept saying it all looked lovely. So happy and whilst I know not yet out of the woods, I think the MC does drop doesn't it once you've seen a heart beat. Wishing lots of love and luck to everyone x

Jcandy · 06/05/2015 20:20

It's incredible sweets! I couldn't believe it Smile still grinning now!

Fizzie100 · 06/05/2015 20:20

Sweets - sounds like you have been so very busy and rather through the mill. Thinking of you and thrilled scan went well xxx

Fizzie100 · 06/05/2015 20:25

Me too!

FlorIxora · 06/05/2015 21:13

Fizzie you've made me all teary.(I know it doesn't take much these days...)

I'm surprised at how genuinely happy I am for our little gang when things go well.

Cheering on all the little beans! Grow grow grow!

claremccrory59 · 06/05/2015 21:36

I had my scan today also- what a busy day for us ladies!
Strong heartbeat, got a wee wave and it's 2.3 cm long....
After 5 years trying we're on cloud nine :)

Withalittlesparkle · 06/05/2015 22:04

Brilliant news Clare! That five years will be totally worth the wait when you hold that wriggly bean in your arms for the first time

Flor I'm the same, we seem to have such a nice group forming Grin

Fizzie100 · 06/05/2015 22:05

Hurrah Clare! Yes we have been busy today Smile

TerryTheGreenHorse · 06/05/2015 22:20

Hurrah for all the good scan news!

afloat · 06/05/2015 22:53

I'm SO happy for all the lovely heartbeats! Makes me glow and makes my feelings about my own little bean all the more real. We have a scan next Monday Grin

flor, I've been thinking about something you said a bit back a lot today - there really is no going back now, no matter the outcome. It's so incredibly "real".

I just got out of bed to have a meal snack.

afloat · 06/05/2015 22:55

Also welcome Ava and yes, Flor, I have giggled massively with happiness each day I come home and get to lie on the couch.

ChandlersFarang · 07/05/2015 02:35

Clare, vodka, Fizzy & JCandy - my scan buddies!! Woop!! So happy for you guys too, it's the best thing ever to see your wee bean is really there and looks healthy... really helps to make it all feel real!! Smile Now I just have to find a way to keep busy and distracted for a month til my next scan... Yikes..!! Grin

Sweets I can't thank you enough for your lovely and informative post about the cyst-uation. I showed it to DH last night too as he was asking me about it too, bless him! The doc told me mine could actually be one giant 12cm one with a split in the middle rather than two separate ones... he couldn't get all the way round it to check all the angles, if you know what I mean. I think mine is exactly the same type as yours, a fluid-filled ruptured follicle from where I ovulated. I have only ovulated from my left side once since I last saw my ovaries on a scan, so that would make sense... I can't feel mine or anything so am just hoping it gets squished by the growing bean!! Good will triumph over evil!! Haha GrinGrin

I love our group too!!! X x x x

shinysparklythings · 07/05/2015 07:08

Yay for all the scans and you lucky ladies who got to see your beans. :) so pleased for you all!

It's finally my booking in tomorrow and then I should get my 12 week scan date which will hopefully only be about 2 weeks away as I will be 10 weeks on sat. It's getting harder and harder to wait esp when I hear all your stories, but an early scan wasn't for us.

I gave it away to a colleague at work yesterday :( she's a good friend but I know she's rubbish at secrets! I was sat in the office with her and without thinking said oh I feel sick, she didn't miss a beat! Can't wait till I get my scan and I know things are ok so I can tell everyone at ease!

Busy day at school then home to vote! I feel this election is even more important knowing what a big effect on beans life it might have! does that make me sound crazy? Confused

WonkyDonkBonk · 07/05/2015 08:01

This thread is so upbeat and positive at the moment, which is doubly surprising as we are all feeling ropey. Its lovely Smile

FlorIxora · 07/05/2015 08:15

Shiny I hope she has the sense and consideration to keep your news shtum. It's not for her to tell.

Fizzie100 · 07/05/2015 08:52

Ladies, can anyone advise what to prepare for booking appointment please? I know they're likely going to tell me off for being overweight so prepared myself already for that but what else do they measure as when I made the appointment they didn't really give me any info. Wishing everyone a happy day xx Smile

BabsUnited · 07/05/2015 09:06

Hi everyone, can I join? Did my home test a week ago and still getting my head round it. This will be DC2, although DS was born prem at 30 weeks so am trying to feel positive about this one going to term. Am actually due on 1 Jan but it's pretty unlikely I'll actually get to due date so thought I'd join the Dec group, hope that's allowed Blush

Only symptoms so far are very sore breasts which I swear have grown already. No nausea, but got off fairly lightly with nausea last time too so
hopefully it'll be similar.

We've just moved house and am trying to register with a new GP, while also trying to contact my consultant as I'm going to have a cervical stitch done at 12 weeks (am 6 today) so need to get things moving otherwise I will stress and i need to take it easy this time round.

I'll try and read some more of the thread and join in Smile

ThreeBeanRap · 07/05/2015 09:37

Congrats and welcome Babs!

Morning everyone, any scans or booking appointments happening today? My booking appointment is a week tomorrow and I still don't have a scan date but hoping to get a letter through about that soon.
