afloat - where are you with poor air quality? Bangkok is definitely not going to score highly on that front!!

Flor - thanks for thinking of me over in my weird time zone!! GrinGrin

Jebel - so pleased for you about hearing a heartbeat!! I bet you do know my friend too - haha!! And your post-IVF super-fertility warmed my heart. I really hope no 2 comes along for me so easily (wow now I'm getting ahead of myself...!).

I told my boss by email the other day (he and my team are in London - I work remotely from Thailand!!) just because I know that you're legally entitled to the time off for the appointments so I just wanted to do it by the book. Obvs said that lots could still go wrong but wanted him to know where I was when I had appointments in my diary. I can work from wherever I like seeing as they can't see me - but they can tell when I'm online so whilst I can't skive, I can be sitting in bed in my pants! Haha!

So I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow (hopefully!!)... Have had a week of totally fluctuating nausea, but the fatigue only really hit yesterday. Bbs hve been killing constantly, especially before bed and in the morning when they are roaming free, ha! Went for a swim this morning and Jesus CHRIST my bikini made everything look SO porno!!! ShockShockShock Given I live amongst my colleagues that is NOT a good thing (luckily nobody else was at the pool)....

Hope everyone's got a good weekend in store? X x

afloat · 01/05/2015 13:13

chandlers I can hear Euston Road, Central London, right here from my office desk :(

MarkingMyPlace9 · 01/05/2015 13:22

Chandlers When is your due date? As I'm 7 Weeks tomorrow aswell, but think our due dates differ??!

WaitingForEgg · 01/05/2015 13:31

I am so so hungry all the time. Yesterday I dove into Sainsbury's to buy a sausage roll in between lunch and dinner to keep the hunger pangs at bay, surely this isn't normal when i'm not even 7 weeks yet? Bit concerned I'm just going to eat my way through this pregnancy

ChandlersFarang · 01/05/2015 13:35

Marking - it's 19 Dec!! I had to work mine out with an ovulation calculator, not an LMP one as I ov'd on CD32!! Very looooong cycles!! When is yours?

afloat - aaaaaaaah I miss London!!!! At least you're not in your office 24/7? Smile if it makes you feel any better I'm either in artificial air conditioning (my house/office/gym/all bars/restaurants..!) or outside in central Bangkok developing country pollution. This bean is not going to appreciate it! I'm looking forward to moving back to London in June for the fresh air!! GrinGrinGrin Lol...

ChandlersFarang · 01/05/2015 13:39

Waiting - I've had to consciously scale back my eating today. I was really beating myself up for putting on weight on holiday that I can't shift because I'm now pregnant..!!

If you're feeling whale-like already (as I am) don't forget that:

  1. we are all bloated because the progesterone is slowing down our digestive systems and bowels (constipation anyone?!)
  2. We are retaining water like it's going out of fashion which will make us weigh more
  3. We are having to deal with horrendous nausea and get by day to day in life pretending nothing is wrong - a few extra carbs are going to be on the cards!!!

I may know all this science but still feeling FAT! Sadly a lifetime's psychology of always trying to look thin doesn't come to a neat end with a BFP! GrinGrin

MarkingMyPlace9 · 01/05/2015 13:45

Oh snap Chandler My EDD is 19th Dec too!!

ChandlersFarang · 01/05/2015 13:57

Woop! Let's hope we make it there... It's a cracker of a date!!GrinGrin

MarkingMyPlace9 · 01/05/2015 14:12

Very! I'm the 19th Jan, DH is 19th Sept and DS is 19th July! So fingers crossed the 19th is good for us!

edinburghdancer · 01/05/2015 14:54

Hi Waiting, Chandler - I'm also eating my way through this pregnancy so far and it's always sugar I seem to be craving as I'm so tired, though toast is putting in a big show as well! DH got told he had a choice - I could eat or I could be really grumpy and blame him Wink

HariboBrenshnio · 01/05/2015 14:59

My deputy manager congratulated me on pregnancy while I was dry heaving on the phone calling in sick. You have to laugh or you'll cry! I only work two days a week but woke up so sick today and it won't stop. I hate calling in sick and it doesn't feel like a valid enough reason.

WaitingForEgg · 01/05/2015 15:17

Chandler I have done the same. We just got back from holiday also (over 3 weeks long!) and we really let ourselves indulge. Usually i'd come home and switch back to healthy eating to shift it but instead the eating is continuing! Just had a salad for lunch but it was absolutely enormous, the only way I know for sure i'll steer clear of the biscuit tin!

WonkyDonkBonk · 01/05/2015 15:27

I'm eating terribly already and I'm only 5+5. Today i have had 2 chocolate pastries, a sandwich, a twix and an entire packet of extra strong mints.

I ate like this last time and put on 3 stone Shock Thankfully DD was a greedy moo and sucked it all off me again!

WaitingForEgg · 01/05/2015 15:39

Wonky I hear 3 stone isn't too bad of a gain! I know people who have gained 4 and even 5 stone when pregnant! (I really want a twix now)

WonkyDonkBonk · 01/05/2015 15:44

That makes me feel better, thanks. Maybe I'll eat that twirl in the fridge then Grin

Withalittlesparkle · 01/05/2015 16:22

Ladies struggling with eating, do whatever you've gotta do to get through the morning sickness, if the only thing you stomach is chocolate then just eat it. It won't last forever and you can focus on eating better in semester two

I'm all booked in and adjusting me due date back a week to 10th December! Elected to be referred to the hospital I gave birth in last time but I might change my mind.

Oooh and on the weight front, zero change so I might have a chocolate as well Grin

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 01/05/2015 16:49

I raise you your twix and say...I ate two Chicago Town pizzas for lunch today. Yep. All I want is carbs, melty cheese and hot tomato. Shock

They'll be sending a crane oot for me when I go into labour...

Had a bit of a crap morning, ladies. Had booking appointment on Weds and midwife told me I should go to the EPU for an early dating scan because I have such long cycles (and have only have two periods since stopping BFing DD1 back in November). She's concerned my 12 week scan will actually be too early to do the nuchal test etc.

So I went up to EPU today thinking how nice it would be to see the bean - only to be told they wouldn't see me because it wasn't an emergency. Which I knew, but THE MIDWIFE TOLD ME TO COME, dammit.

So totally wasted a morning, got disappointed, and now have to wait another 2 and a half weeks for my 12 week scan (when they'll tell me it's too early, and to come back in around 10 days or so).

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 01/05/2015 16:51

Also, found the only cure for morning sickness is M&S Colin the Caterpillar fruit sours. Fizzy soury goodness.

What with those, and the pizza lunching, and the aversion to any vegetable, I shall be 6ft wide by Thursday.

Magickal · 01/05/2015 16:54

I have given up my gluten & dairy free diet now and had half an Easter egg yesterday 'for the baby'... it's not too early to do that, right? DS was grown on mini-eggs and seems ok. Plus, I weighed less 3 days after I had him than I had done before I was pg. Best diet ever. I don't think it will be so effective this time, not least because I weigh more now than I did when I was full-term last time.

Wishful80smontage · 01/05/2015 17:10

Another fan of all items cheesy here too..I've not stopped eating last few days it's been ridiculous but only last weekend I had to leave m and a food hall as the sight of their food literally want to make be chuck there and then . Hope everyone is doing ok.

Withalittlesparkle · 01/05/2015 17:16

I could totally go for a pizza now!! Cheers guys

abi2790 · 01/05/2015 17:27

Whatsfor you've made me crave Chicago town pizzas now! I had a quaver and mayo butty for lunch haha I've also had a double decker and a couple of cubes of cheese to tide me over till tea! Having Chinese takeaway too because I can't be arsed to cook!

orangemouth281 · 01/05/2015 17:48

You're all making me hungry and I'm craving a Greggs pasty!

MarkingMyPlace9 · 01/05/2015 18:02
