Thanks all! megarobot, that's really interesting and quite reassuring to hear that you have had cysts too and been told they may well self-resolve. My only concern is this one being so big. Will be on phone to GP and midwife this morning to try to sort something out!

Mship, thinking of you.

Threebean, apparently it's quite common to get spotting a few weeks after implantation (ie. at your stage), it can be from the placenta digging in as it starts to grow. Different from implantation, and happens at a slightly later stage. Midwife told me that when I was having spotting last week. It can also be your cervix bleeding a bit, as it gets quite sensitive. To be honest, there are many reasons I think why you might spot, so chances are that it's perfectly normal. Don't panic! Smile

Sweets27 · 24/04/2015 09:45

Oh and internal scan could possibly have caused it, but that doesn't mean it's anything to worry about. Like I said in the last post, your cervix can be a bit sensitive (eg. midwife told me bleeding a bit after sex is not uncommon when you're pregnant), so maybe the camera thing irritated it a bit. That wouldn't mean any harm to the bean inside your uterus though.

megarobotdiscoparty · 24/04/2015 10:00

So sorry to hear latest developments mship - hope you get seen quickly Flowers

sweets do you know how big? My bff's colleague had a big one whilst pg and they kept an eye on it throughout -it was fine (not sure it ever went away) and she had her baby last week! They're pretty common. Hope they didn't scare you too much -the general hospital terrified me (mine was getting big enough to operate) but when I got referred back to the fertility clinic they were all "meh- it'll be fine!" Guess they see em a lot more there.

whatsforye ....mmm creamy Frijj deliciousness.....got well into the weird flavours last time too. There was some kind of cookie one that was all kinds of yum. Also: Tuc biscuits!

dojo123 · 24/04/2015 10:04

chop sorry but your body is now giving you the lull before the storm!!! Grin. A couple of weeks ago I felt the same. No real symptoms per-say. Now however my boobs feel like bowling balls when I remove my bra and this morning a wall of exhaustion has hit me. Luckily no sickness but still don't feel amazing.

Sweets27 · 24/04/2015 10:12

megarobot it's quite a scary 9cm which sounds outrageously large, but sonographer didn't exactly tell me to head to A&E straight away. How big was yours? To be honest I'd probably rather they removed it unless they see it shrinking by itself, but I'm trying not to leap to any conclusions til I see a consultant. Good to hear your friend's colleague was fine throughout pregnancy without having hers removed.

chopsface · 24/04/2015 10:20

dojo I spoke too soon, massive wave of nausea hit me at 9am on the dot this morning! Am seriously debating leaving work right now. I can't deal with this Envy (this should be a sick face)

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 24/04/2015 10:26

Ha, mega it IS actually a cookie one in my fridge, you weird clone, you! I was also thinking about cheesy salty crackers the other day, too. At the moment I really, really want a dirty pizza - covered in melty cheese, delivered to my door. Contemplating one of those home alone deals...I should really be eating fruit and celery, right? Hmm

sweets I could hug you for the amount of much-needed positivity you're bringing to this thread. Like a ray of sunshine! I don't know much about cysts but that sounds like one to be proud of. Picking up on your 'glass half full' theme...maybe it means you'll get loads more scans throughout your pregnancy - lots of opportunities to see the bean!

abi2790 · 24/04/2015 10:46

Sweets that's such great news!

So sorry to those getting spotting/ bleeding Flowers

I've bought some lemon & ginger tea today to see if it helps this nausea/ sickness. I currently feel starving and sick at the same time... Not nice!

ThreeBeanRap · 24/04/2015 11:26

sweets thank you that's really reassuring! It's not getting any worse so hopefully it will trail off like it did last time. I hope the cyst is easily dealt with!

Someone mentioned bowling ball boobs - me too! So painful at night. Someone on another thread mentioned sleeping in a soft sports bra which might help.

TheMshipIsBack · 24/04/2015 11:39

Aww thanks everyone for all the kind thoughts. No change here, sadly. I have a scan appointment at 2 pm at the epu. They were very reassuring on the phone, but I'm quite certain what's happening and am calmly waiting. I did get proper pads this morning Grin

FlorIxora · 24/04/2015 12:07

I don't feel pregnant anymore this morning. I haven't had any cramps for hours (I've been cramping almost non stop for 8 days), no nausea this morning at all. I did get shooting vaginal pain around 7.30 am but that's all.

humph.

MarkingMyPlace9 · 24/04/2015 12:25

I feel your pain Florlxora I feel absolutely fine compared to first time around. I said to DH, you saw the BFP aswell, yea!? Lol. Suppose I should think myself lucky, but it just doesn't feel real atm! I am much more tired than normal though

chopsface · 24/04/2015 12:33

flora and marking careful what you wish for. I was complaining about feeling normal last night and first thing this morning and then wall of nausea came up to bite me on the bum and I just want to feel well again lol!

I completely get wanting to feel something though as reassurence. Decided to stay in work after feeling better after my teabreak and eating something birthday cake Am now struggling with my sandwich and some awful tiredness!

FlorIxora · 24/04/2015 12:37

It's so early on, there's no way to know if things are ok. Someone on here did say worrying doesn't change the outcome.

I know it's best if the little bean packs up and leaves if it's not well (this week it's growing a neural tube and all. pretty important stuff no?). But I have been so bloated and achey until today... it's so freaky to feel completely normal. Thanks for the message. xxx

PS: feel the urge to POAS daily but have resisted being silly so far. (well other than once 2 days ago)

FlorIxora · 24/04/2015 12:42

Chops - I get what you're saying but now I would totally trade you!!! It's Top Trumps - The Pregnancy Edit!

LabMonkey · 24/04/2015 13:08

Have booked my Harmony test and viability scan in London in 5 weeks. The price includes a nuchal scan 2 weeks later so I've cancelled my NHS one. It means I don't have to face the fetal medicine unit again and I should, all being well, avoid the hospital until 20 weeks by which point I'll be less scared.

FlorIxora · 24/04/2015 13:10

LabMonkey - I'm going to the FMC in 10 days. What do you mean "face" bad previous experience?

LabMonkey · 24/04/2015 13:27

Sorry I meant the fetal medicine unit at our local hospital. The FMCin London sounds good. To be fair the hospital is fine but it's where DD2 was born\died.

FlorIxora · 24/04/2015 13:29

oh I am so sorry for your loss. No wonder you don't want to have to face it. Flowers

Serenity05 · 24/04/2015 13:30

Hi ladies, I've been a bit quiet this week (this is my first post on thread #2!) while I was waiting for my scan but I've just come out and I'm utterly elated! My little bean has a clear heartbeat and is measuring 7+3 (I'm 7+2 going on last lmp). I know there's still a long way to go but I'd been feeling so awful and I was so convinced it had all gone wrong that I've never been happier to be mistaken!

Sweets, I'm so happy to hear your scan went well too!

And to everyone who's going through a tough time, my thoughts are with you all and I hope you have the support you need right now. Love to you all.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 24/04/2015 14:13

Went to see my new GP today who prescribed me some more anti emetics. Was sick all over myself in the car on the way back Sad
My urine sample showed not only ketones but quite a bit of blood. There were no other markers for infection though which is worrying. Since getting home I've noticed browny orange blood when I wipe which I'm not going to get too excited about yet as I had the same with both my other two but also feeling a little crampy. Never had the blood in urine thing before though. So meh feeling a bit unsure

TheMshipIsBack · 24/04/2015 14:32

No miracles. Scan showed an empty sac on its way towards the exit. At least all the signs are promising for a quick and natural end.

Thank you again to everyone who took the time to wish me well. All the best to you in the months ahead. I'm sure I'll be on another one of these soon - seems dh only has to give me a smoldering glance and I get a bfp two weeks later.

MarkingMyPlace9 · 24/04/2015 14:54

Oh MShip I am terribly sorry to hear that. You do sound like you can deal with this very strongly and I wish you and your DH all the best xxx

dojo123 · 24/04/2015 14:58

mship I'm so sorry it has worked out this time. Sending you an un mumsnetty hug.

chopsface · 24/04/2015 15:12

Sorry for your loss mship best of luck for future pregnancies Flowers

Ladies, the early scan at 7ish weeks? Are they internally or external?
