CuppaSarah · 19/04/2015 10:41

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Yay! So glad. They are tiny miracles. Have just checked the packet and preg people are only supposed to have 7 a day. I should have probably looked earlier, I've defo had my quota for the day.

SweepTheHalls · 06/05/2015 20:11

I'm comedically bloated too!

CuppaSarah · 06/05/2015 20:37

Comedic is the only word for it Sweep! Grin

I was hugely bloated until I went back to yoga last night - it's obviously moved something as DH said I burped in my sleep all night and my stomachs definitely went down a bit!

OhHolyFuck · 07/05/2015 09:49

Had a scan - baby in the right place and heartbeat seen Grin
Put me 2 days further than i think i am but i know how changeable dates are at this point

Tangoandcreditcards · 07/05/2015 10:27

Oh great news ohholy - hope seeing the heartbeat took the edge off the sickness!

I can join the rest of you in bloatedness, yesterday after lunch my belly was straining against my (quite loose) top, I'm not going to be able to keep my secret at this rate, I'm sure work have already "got their eye on me".

NoArmaniNoPunani · 07/05/2015 12:23

Are early scans routine in some areas? I've not been offered one.

SweepTheHalls · 07/05/2015 13:10

Certainly not here, I'm going to pay for one at 10 weeks provided we get there!

OhHolyFuck · 07/05/2015 13:12

No not in mine either, its just i have some ongoing gynea issues so Im being monitored by a consultant and she wanted an early check on things

crumble74 · 07/05/2015 14:21

Congrats ohholy, that's great news!

ChandlersFarang · 07/05/2015 15:55

Massive congrats OhHoly!! It's an amazing feeling isn't it!! Grin

I threw up for the first time today, at 7+5!! Gah x

CuppaSarah · 07/05/2015 17:12

Yay huge congratulations OhHolyFuck!! That's amazing and fantastic you.must be feeling great apart from the sickness.

I am a grump today, because all the promises work made were lies! Nothing changed, no one called to ask how I was. I am getting pretty fucked off at this point. One step from contacting the union.

Hello everyone Can I please join in? Had my dating scan today and am 7 weeks with DC2. Due date is Xmas day. My birthday is Boxing Day so will get a bday present I guess.

Terribly bloated and quite sick. Had hypermesis for 9 months with my first so hoping this one will be different. This is a surprise baby as we were not trying.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 07/05/2015 18:46

Hi Miniangel congratulations! Hope your sickness settles soon.

I saw MW today for booking appt - she's changed my due date to Christmas Eve! And offered me a reassurance scan as I MC'd before - so I'm going tomorrow afternoon??! I'm so excited! Thought I'd have to wait another 6 weeks.

Unfortunately she's also told me I'll be a red pathway/consultant led pregnancy throughout because of my thyroid problema & has said I'll need to negotiate with the consultant whether or not I can give birth in a midwife led unit or if it has to be the consultant unit. I'm a bit gutted as otherwise I'm fit & healthy and was considering a home birth which is now out the window...

Miniangel · 07/05/2015 20:58

Thanks IfYouwereaRiver.

Best of luck for the scan tomorrow. I know the news about consultant led is not what you wanted but you will get more monitoring and better care, I would see it that way:)

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 07/05/2015 21:12

You're right Miniangel - I'm now seeing the endocrinologist, obstetric consultant & the midwife so I'm lucky everything is being taken care of. Midwife said I might even get a 10 week scan too although I'll find out tomorrow. I'm just a bit surprised I need it to be honest?

OhHolyFuck · 07/05/2015 21:38

If I was consultant led with DS2 and they still agreed to a home birth (after a bit of a 'persuasion' from both me and the supervisor of midwifes who luckily was on side) so don't necessarily rule it out yet?

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 07/05/2015 21:49

That's good to know ohholy thanks. I'll speak to consultant about it at my next appt.

JoeyBun · 07/05/2015 22:00

Congratulations to Chandlers and OHoly on the scans. Good luck for tomorrow IfYouWereARiver. I've got a private scan booked for Saturday, really trying not to worry about it, but failing.

Welcome miniangel, how old is DC1?

Miniangel · 08/05/2015 04:38

Best of luck for the scan JoeyBun.

Dc1 will be 3 end of June. 3 going on 13, with the number of tantrums these days:)

We have a planned holiday to Prague on 17th May so hoping will get all clear for it. Anyone else due to fly soon?

CuppaSarah · 08/05/2015 06:22

Good luck for the upcoming scans!! Can't wait to hear about them.

Ifyouwere I'm sure they'll consider a midwife led unit, so don't feel you're out yet. I was consultant led last time and was offered a home birth.

Really starting to think about booking an early scan. Especially as my morning sickness is so mild compared to last time. Makes me worry nothing is really in there. But I guess everyone worries that

OMG, so tired today, and I clearly looked it at work as colleagues commented on it. Must make more effort to wear more make up!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 08/05/2015 18:55

I'm finding it impossible to hide the dry retching at work, a few people have guessed already.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 08/05/2015 18:59

SweeptheHalls I'd be tempted to call them out for being so rude!! I've just been for acupuncture & feel so spacey & fuzzy it's fab but I'm sure I look a bit stoned...

Scan was amazing today - strong heartbeat & everything fine. Bub is 7.7mm - I can't believe something so small has a functioning heart! I sobbed like a total weirdo in the car park afterwards. I'm just so relieved everything's okay.

JoeyBun · 08/05/2015 21:52

That's great news IfYouWereARiver!

Sweep, I am with you on the tiredness, I'm hoping Dd doesn't wake up at 6:00 tomorrow morning like she has most days this week. It might be time to invest in some black out blinds.
