WC jab this morn. Arm movements limited now !
It's not debilitating as such, certainly can't lift my arm above chest height though. Couldn't finish cleaning a mirror for example... Just for info :)

Lewaney3 · 21/04/2015 17:06

Hi all!

My tommetippee prep machine is ready to be collected from asda, I don't know why I'm so excited! That and I've just packed my hospital bag! :)

Reading about all your purchases and home renovations is making me happy as weird as it sounds!

We've got all the twins clothes for the first three months covered...we kind of went overboard! But plus side we don't have to worry about it later and less laundry time! :) just had a complete clear out of one wardrobe and hanging all their sleepsuits and outfits up made me well up! So emotional!

We're also getting a new bathroom fitted and my DH is definitely going too slow in sorting it all out!!

I was wondering that too muddy I can't believe in 10 weeks or less our DTs will be here!!Grin

Lewaney3 · 21/04/2015 17:07

Oh arte is it worse than having blood taken? I'm really bad with needles and I'm quite worried! Mines in two weeks time.

Fattycow · 21/04/2015 17:33

I really need to start on my labour basket! Thanks for reminding me, lewaney!

Thepurplegiraffe · 21/04/2015 17:44

Thanks for the warning Arte mine is tomorrow, only booked it today! I was a bit taken aback when they offered me a quick appointment.

Charlie I got a fit to fly from the doc last week, she was a bit funny about it and went on about how it wasn't a guarantee (obviously) but just wrote a letter to say she didn't know of any reason why I can't fly. Maybe just book an appointment and ask directly.

Fattycow · 21/04/2015 17:53

smallgreen, it is exactly like that! I have been trying to film kicks as well, but it is like they know!

JoY, we had a few of those boxes already, mainly for DH's card game. But I now have a red and a dark blue one for the nursery and I had a pink one myself, so that one is going into the nursery as well. I am sure I will order more colours as well!

charlieis30 · 21/04/2015 18:06

I really like baby boy stuff. I'm having a girl and it all just seems so PINK to me.

Zampa · 21/04/2015 18:17

Charlie My midwife gave me my fit to fly letter yesterday. She had a pack of blank letters ready to fill in. Easy Jet don't need a medical certificate but thought I'd be on the safe side. I'll also take my notes so they can verify my due date if needed. Does your airline definitely require one?

Muddy I had the 3rd trimester down as 27 weeks.

Aretepetite · 21/04/2015 18:28

lewanay the jab itself was easy just don't plan any heavy work or exercise like swimming later for example. Not that we should be doing any heavy work mind you!
Uncomfortable in the jab area and easier to 'rest' the arm tonight.
I will avoid driving too.
Maybe it's just me - hopefully :)

Welcome Purple

Lewaney3 · 21/04/2015 19:27

charlie I feel that way with the mountains of generic baby boys clothes I've seen... Girls clothes and all the varietyGrin

Thanks arte :)

JoY007 · 21/04/2015 19:30

Aretepetite not you at all, my arm is sore as well. No side planks for the rest of the week, and think I can only sleep on my right side Sad which is not the most comfortable.

Lewaney I bought some cute hangers for the babygros, so cute hanging them up Smile.

With boy clothes the only cute stuff I have came across was at Jacardi and they are quite pricey.. That said I am sure I will treat my little boy to an outfit from there. I got a nice cute set from H&M on Saturday enjoy the pic ladies Grin.

The nautical theme seems to be the summer trend. Probably a good thing I am not having a girl I would have gone bankrupt Grin

fattymcfatfat · 21/04/2015 19:45

have you tried sainsbos? it's where I have seen some really cute outfits for boys.

MustBeLoopy390 · 21/04/2015 19:51

Next and M+S have some beautiful boys things too :)

Fattycow · 21/04/2015 19:53

muddy, I have 3rd trimester down at 27 weeks as well. Otherwise you would have 2 long trimesters of 14 weeks and the last one only 12. That seems off to me!

Aretepetite · 21/04/2015 20:04

Aww Joy good luck with your sleeping tonight.

broodylicious · 21/04/2015 20:04

Evening allSmile Lots of chatter today to catch up on!

I've seen lovely boys clothes in a few places but I have a dd and don't know whether bump is a boy or girl, so I probably just like what I can't buyWinkGrin I love h&m kids stuff because it always washes so well and is really soft. Gap and m&s is generally good quality stuff, while sainsburys, morrisons, asda and tesco do amazing outfits. Not forgetting the fabulous Primark!

Had my mw appt today (27+1). All good. Heard heartbeat for the first time - for all of 20 seconds because s/he wouldn't stay still long enough! - BP was a good 122/70, results of gtt were clear and urine showed no traces of anything untoward. Next appt is 34 weeks - that is what I call the home straight!

Excellent appointment, broody!

jmojo · 21/04/2015 20:17

Medically we are taught the third trimester starts at 28 wks. Just fyi.

Lewaney3 · 21/04/2015 20:20

Joy love that cute outfit! I know it's been the highlight of my day sorting out their wardrobe :)

Charliej86 · 21/04/2015 20:26

Fatty were off to Costa del sol. We fly with thomsons, from what I can understand if I was under 28 weeks on return will prob be ok but as I'll be 32 weeks on return I'll need one.

Thepurplegiraffe · 21/04/2015 21:12

I am flying with Thomson too Charlie. I think I remember reading I need one.

jmojo · 21/04/2015 22:13

Midwives can write them, I did them all the time. I never had a letter rejected in 16 years. However make sure the say the dates you will be travelling between so it is valid on the return journey. In some places they will not accept a letter that is generic and a couple of weeks old. I have a friend who works for an airline and he was just telling me last week how at some airports they have rejected women because of this. Then you have to go find a doctor in a foreign country to say you can fly (although some airlines do have them in big airports). If is unfair but just passing along his advice.

Zampa · 21/04/2015 22:31

I've printed off all the stuff from the Easy Jet website that's says you don't need a medical certificate as well as 2 emails from Easy Jet staff saying the same thing. If I run into any problems I will brandish everything I've got at the airline staff!

I'm also going to wear baggy clothes and see if anyone even notices. Got away with that at the bank when extending the mortgage although that was a few weeks ago now.

jmojo · 21/04/2015 22:45

zampa good plan! My friend works for easy jet. He said you don't need a letter but they will turn you away if you look term! Not so much a problem in the uk but it has happened in Europe apparently, so maybe take your notes which you should do anyway just in case you need to proove gestation.

JoY007 · 21/04/2015 23:23

Thanks mustbe and fatty for the baby boy clothes suggestion, will pop in to m&s and sainsbury's - additional purchase Grin

Thanks arepetite Smile

So jealous of all those going away Smile lucky you, could do with a break as well.

My app says 3rd tri starts from 28 weeks.

Still not got my GTT results - I am burying my head in sand and thinking no news is good news, and if it was bad I would have been called. Though I left a message for a call back today at the ante natal clinic. Will follow up again tomorrow.
