Thanks withalittlesparkle! Usually my cycle is around 5-6 weeks long, but my last period started 3 weeks ago...! I reckon I ovulated (going by ewcm) on 5th April, but could definitely have been up to a week earlier. Ewcm practically drowned out AF at the end! Its all very confusing.

Serenity05 · 14/04/2015 08:04

Welcome Rtfairy and Haquoi and congratulations!

I feel awful this morning. I couldn't sleep at all last night - my lower back was aching and my brain just wouldn't shut off. Ordinarily if I was feeling like this I'd grab a can of Relentless on my way into work but that's not really an option right now! I was also sick within ten minutes of getting out of bed which hasn't helped.

tammie49 · 14/04/2015 08:38

oh no. that's rubbish. I still don't believe that I'm actually pregnant and I'm going to pee on a stick today one more time before I cancel our appointment with the fertility clinic. love a bit of irony in my life. thing is I feel ok bit crampy and quesy but nothing major. have just spent 2 days with my mum but haven't told her yet. I feel bad but want to be certain which is stupid as I have taken 4 tests!!
also scared to tell dp's parents as we're not married. how stupid, I'm 34!! gave up on a proposal and figured there's a time limit on having kids but not marriage!!

Jodiesaurus · 14/04/2015 08:44

Anybody suffering with dry skin I have patches all over my face? Welcome newbies, hope everybody else is well xx

toadierocks · 14/04/2015 09:32

Hiya newbies tammie haquoi and RTfairy

Rtfairy yes I'm slightly worried about a small age gap as there'll be 20 months if all goes to plan....... Hmm but it'll just be another one of life's challenges and hopefully they'll grow up very close in age and nature

Been thinking of our 4 ladies from yesterday and sending love and wishes xx

So sorry to komnu and morecake and keeping my fingers crossed for daisy and alpha.

rtfairy we're due date buddies, I will also have a newborn and 26month old ds to look after, in my experience though its the dealing with a toddler during the early stages of pregnancy thats the hardest bit, once You get past the nauseau and exhaustion everything else is a breeze. This will be dc #6 for me and there was only 15months between my first two, I waited 6 years then had another 2 19 months apart so im an old hand at juggling babies and toddlers.

haribo were you on the Oct 13 bus, did I read that at the beginning of this thread? I was on it too but lurked and never plucked up the courage to join in. Always regretted it though especially when everyone moved over to the facebook group and the thread tailed off.

Metalhead · 14/04/2015 10:03

Morning all, and welcome to all the newbies.

I dreamed I was miscarrying last night... not nice! At least it was only a dream. But I didn't sleep very well afterwards so will probably be absolutely zonked come this afternoon (just in time for a 2-hour meeting!).

Well my GP didn't seem too concerned about my high blood pressure, he said to come back 'within the next weeks'! I guess that's a good thing...

TerryTheGreenHorse · 14/04/2015 10:08

Wow Wilma! I've got 2 DC already who will be nearly three and five when this one arrives. It's probably my hormones but I'm starting to really worry about how it will affect the older two just little things like taking them out to swimming shows and things like that. Any tips?

flyfireflyfly · 14/04/2015 10:29

Hi can I join got bfp est dd 15 Dec 4 days after my 30th nice present
I have two other dcs 3 and 4
Feel so rough got my folic acid and plenty of mints
Just allowing myself to get a little excited :-)

1wilma1 · 14/04/2015 11:01

Welcome flyfireflyfly
terrythegreenhorse no tips as such but I think the reason I cope with my brood of various ages is because I am very laid back and just go with the flow. i dont think too far into the future and worry about what might happen I just deal with it as it comes and do what feels right at the time. Having several children of different ages, with different needs and interests means you all have to compromise and make sacrifices and as a mother you always feel some guilt that someone is missing out or you cant do everything but honestly its all swings and roundabouts and it works out about even at the end of the day.
Dont worry too much about how things are going to change, the new baby will just fit right in and youll find ways to manage.

Thanks Wilma, my mind is racing worrying about things that might now even happen! Older DC are close in age and so like doing the same things, I think it's my hormones raging out of control.

Welcome newbies and congratulations on your BFPS.

Anyone else feeling hormonal Grin

HariboBrenshnio · 14/04/2015 11:23

Wilma ah that's such a shame you didn't join us! Hopefully this time you'll have the courage Smile it is nice when it moves to FB as can be easier to keep up. Congratulations on your 6th!

megarobotdiscoparty · 14/04/2015 11:43

Welcome to all the new BAPS and congrats!

wilma I can see your sage advice is going to come in handy...My DS will be 2.5 and I'm so anxious about how it will affect him and how I'll deal with two. He's a very lively one....! We don't even have a garden for him to run around in, so I've no idea how I'll occupy him if I'm busy with a newborn. Is it harder than with your first baby do you think? Or just different?

Thinking of all the ladies with losses today Flowers

Sweets27 · 14/04/2015 11:52

Welcome newbies! Smile

Sorry to hear about the scary dream metal. I have now started dreaming about everyone guessing I'm pregnant. My mum, colleagues at work... last night I dreamed I was chatting to some colleagues and randomly mentioned having a copy of What To Expect... - of course they all looked at me in shock, said "You're pregnant!!", and I caved and admitted it. Similar scenario with my mum. Not surprising dreams, I guess - I'm so desperate to get to the point where I can tell people, but also so worried they will guess early!

Had my doc's appointment this morning and he was very matter-of-fact. Took a wee sample, took my blood pressure, told me about free prescriptions. I mentioned the nocturnal epilepsy (not sure if I've told you guys about that before, I have mild epilepsy but only at night, and it's controlled with a low dose of lamotrigine so I don't have fits any more). It's a risk during pregnancy as the hormones can change your likelihood of fitting. So, apparently this makes me a "high risk" pregnancy and my ante-natal care has to be consultant-led. Probably a good thing! The hospital I've already self-referred to apparently has a good neurology team, so I should be in good shape. Also, high risk means I get an early scan, so should hear from them soon with scan date around 8 weeks. Probably means I can cancel the private scan I'd already booked for 9 weeks!

tammie49 · 14/04/2015 13:04

I've just been to the loo and there was a bit of blood. should u be worried? I feel sick. am calling drs tomorrow.

tammie49 · 14/04/2015 13:17

I meant should I be worried. I am really worried. not sure what to do.

Jcandy · 14/04/2015 13:22

Tammie spotting can be normal but it's best to get checked out? Do you have any pain? How many weeks are you?

Serenity05 · 14/04/2015 13:37

Sweets, I have epilepsy too! I'm also on lamotrigine - 200mg a day. Are you taking the 5mg folic acid tablets as well?

The midwife who referred me to the hospital didn't say anything about me being high risk or needing an early scan though. Hmmm. Not sure if I should phoneand check now.

tammie49 · 14/04/2015 13:40

thanks Jcandy. I'm a bit crampy but it's not really bad. it seems to have stopped now. I'm 5 weeks or so, only found out on Friday and haven't seen the Dr yet.

Jcandy · 14/04/2015 14:11

Again bit crampy is normal. If it's stopped now I wouldn't worry too much. If it starts again though I'd go to your gp. Not much to see on a scan at this stage but they may take bloods to see if hcg is increasing Smile fingers crossed!
