bonzo thank you so much for the advice - went to the dentist who advised that not much can be done but it's not infected and to come back in two weeks and see if it's any better! If not they may have to take it out, but it is feeling a bit better today so fingers crossedSmile

Snowflake15 · 17/04/2015 18:24

Oh no it's not in store until MondaySad

Meinthecorner · 17/04/2015 18:30

enviousllama thanks I looked at jojomamanbebe to start with and thought that they were a bit blue but having seen nothing else I might have to revisit and reconsider!

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2015 20:03

Oh no snowflake :( Sorry I should've said.

Just seen an advert for matalan seems they do mat wear now. Have you tried next, new look, mother care mamas and papas, H&M, ASOS?

Meinthecorner · 17/04/2015 21:22

Haven't looked at matalan will do so now thanks.

mspfan I'm jealous of your glasto tickets! I've been seven times and I'm gutted that it's probably all in the past now :( I think if there was one festival which is easiest to be pregnant at it's glasto. Seen plenty of pregnant women and babies there. Plus if you know the layout already that's a bonus. It all depends on what kind of a pregnancy you're having. I'm still really sick at 21 weeks and have terrible back problems already so I know it would be out of the question. But if you feel good there's no reason why not. Just might be a slightly more tame festival than you usually have :)

I had my scan today. All looked ok. The sonographer said it looks like a little girl :) I asked if she was sure and she said well we never say we're sure so I feel a bit wary of feeling certain. Could see very little compared to 12 week scan and the photos are a waste of time. Just a blur unfortunately. I feel a bit odd that my next contact with the hospital is at 28 weeks. I haven't been assigned a midwife or anything. Is that usual?

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 18/04/2015 06:09

Had 16 week midwife appointment this week, heard the heartbeat (briefly, this ones a wriggly one) and referral made for a consultant appointment at some point after 20 week scan to discuss elective section.

monkeymoonpig · 18/04/2015 07:24

cornberry although the name if the mw from booking in is on my notes, i don't have an 'assigned' one so to speak. There is one who does all the antenatal appts (for everyone) and then its whoever is on duty/answers the phone. My first point of contact is a reasonably small MLU tho, so it may be different in bigger areas?

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 18/04/2015 07:59

Well 3.5 hrs in A&E with DS last night (severe croup - 4th time so feel like old hands) and he still woke up at 7am, gah! Why doesn't he need extra sleep too? Will need to phone in PIL as reinforcements Grin

sauvblanc21 · 18/04/2015 08:34

Oh god havetea - what a night. Hope you're all holding up ok this morning xx

Hubbo and I are trotting off to an NCT Nearly New sale this morning...Any tips from anyone? What sorta things should I be looking to grab at the sale? Xx

Meinthecorner · 18/04/2015 10:37

sauv if it's not too late make a list. Most Nct sales have items categorised into clothes, toys and equipment. If you think you might want it grab then you can evaluate and put things back! Best thing though is volunteer to help and you get to go the pre-sale!

shinjuku09 · 18/04/2015 13:54

Sorry to hear that havetea. Hope you're surviving today and that DS is feeling better. DD is the same - often sleeps less when she's ill!

Jessica32 · 18/04/2015 17:31

sauv Have been away for a couple of days do just read your posts. Have been wondering how your trip went and it sounds as fab as I imagined!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 19/04/2015 03:08

Thanks Sauv/Shin wasn't too bad of a day in the end thanks to my wonderful MIL and the wee guy was feeling fine in himself so not a bad day all round. I did crash with him at 8pm though and am now wide awake - go figure!

In other news a bump literally popped out over night last night, so weird. My stomach felt a bit achey when I got up then when I put clothes on my stomach was noticeably bigger - To quote DH 'fKn hell you look pregnant' he's such a charmer Grin - guess bumple had been elbowing some internal organs out the way!!

Bippidee · 19/04/2015 09:38

Gah. DH has buggered off to the US for a week with work. I have been starting to find bending over tough and going upstairs with DD makes me breathless.

Tell me I'll be fine!

Whatabout · 19/04/2015 09:56

Bippidee I am one week through my husband's two week work trip to the U.S. I've been really poorly whilst he has been gone, but we are surviving!

Maths88 · 19/04/2015 10:18

Goodness I've become a raging hormonal monster - poor dh! I cry at the most ridiculous things and often for no reason! Anyone else like this?!

Still not got much of a bump and not feeling movements - it's making me feel really anxious about everything - yet another reason for more crying! Scan in 9 days and I honestly think I'm going to go crazy in that time!

Snowflake15 · 19/04/2015 11:01

havetea exciting news about the bump popping! Can't wait for mine

maths I'm the same, been crying all morning for me I think it's related to tiredness though, I'm exhausted and spending all day in bed! I haven't got much of a bump either I'm only 17+3 though, I'm sure all will be fine at your scan!

I'm worrying because baby was in the same position at 12 and 16 week scans, chilling with his legs up and feet crossed! It's so silly because we saw and heard the heartbeat and know everything is fine, but I can't help but worry! Can't wait to feel some movements, going to drink some coke or something before the 20week scan to try and get him movingBlush hopefully he will be just as chilled when he comes outSmile

Treaclepie19 · 19/04/2015 11:09

Me too maths and my coordination is terrible.
This morning I dropped my breakfast on the floor then cried.
Poor dh.

Snowflake I'm worrying a bit about it too. Our little one has been very wriggly and has turned around completely since we last saw him but he's so low down and curled up he looks squashed!

Taken the plunge and booked a john lewis nursery advice session. Anyone have any experience with these? It's booked for just after my 20 week scan so hopefully I can start making some purchases! Don't really want to feel that I have to buy everything on the day though.

Fluffin · 19/04/2015 14:15

Maths, I cried because the battery on the clock died. Poor dh was consoling me and trying so hard not to laugh when I told him why I was in floods of tears and smearing mascara all over his shirt.

Treaclepie19 · 19/04/2015 15:14

Eek, i think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves :p
We bought the pram yesterday and today I've bought the furniture as it as such a good deal.
Also got a video monitor in the asda baby event Blush

ambientolf · 19/04/2015 16:09

treacle we have pretty much everything (both new & given to us) inc travel system, car seat (well 2 car seats - one for once baby is bigger! We didn't buy that though) crib, moses basket, cot, clothes, baby bath, baby video minitor... as can't resist a bargain! I wish we didn't, as I would have liked to have waited after my scan but it will hopefully all be OK Smile.

TheMidnightHour · 19/04/2015 19:35

mspfan haven't been to a music festival while pregnant, but have been with back problems and I honestly think Glasto is the worst for getting around / seating / etc. I know it gets an amazing line up & people love it, but I think it has a really awkward layout compared to lots of others as there are so many choke points (that blasted bridge, all the slippery metal roads btw the tents) and very few of the eateries have seats. (I am comparing to, among others Paleo in Switzerland, PinkPop in NL, even Reading is easier to get around, not that I'd recommend that while pg, bit fighty).

THAT SAID, if you take your own seat (I had a camping chair, made DP carry it) you'll probably be fine. The music's loud enough to hear from space, so being at the back's not so bad and the crowd thins out quickly.

Just realised we're about 20m from the Reading Festival now. Don't think I'll be moshing 3 days before my due date, but am extra glad not booked in at Royal Berks as would have to drive in that way Hmm

Have pretty much finished shopping. Bit of a tight budget (money comes out of parental leave fund as both self-employed) but had some excellent luck. Found a buggy in a charity shop for £10 yesterday :) In good nick & easy to fold - giant though! (fills the boot) Think I may have shopped too early as still tempted to look at so-tiny so-cute things and have no excuse :-/
