Hi bonzo- thank you so much!
It's a blister under a tooth I had filled last year which is also a bit wobbly. The tooth is occasionally sensitive but not normally the gum below, dentist thinks the ligament/root of tooth is inflamed? It's more sore than painful.

Whatabout · 30/03/2015 22:59

www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/search.asp?extratype=1&bratext=Underwired+Nursing+Bras&gclid=Cj0KEQjw6OOoBRDP9uG4oqzUv7kBEiQA0sRYBJeNH2WVIEz1b-6ENxbTQ7hSkH8k_ccyVHJ0deFmB1EaAoMf8P8HAQ Quite a few places do wired nursing bras, there was a thread on here not long ago. Sorry I can't remember how to do a link!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 30/03/2015 23:27

RE the underwire, I was told that you'd need to be wearing a bra that was too tight for a long period to do damage. If underwire is still comfy then go.for it.

As your bump.expands and comes up to.meet your books, that's when you might start to.find it becoming uncomfortable as the wire can't sit properly.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 30/03/2015 23:28

meet your boobs!

ovumahead · 31/03/2015 06:33

Thanks for all the underwire info! Will have to look into it maybe for later pregnancy. This pregnancy is so different from my last - last time I just wore the same old bras throughout but got an extender clip thingy, my boobs never hurt one bit. This time, they've been like massive, aching melons with nipples of fire right from the start! Amazing how different your body can react. Think I'm having a girl this time so maybe that's what the difference is!

Toffee I can't compete with advice from a dentist but I will say that salt water has always sorted me out! Good luck. Dental pain is so horrible.

Maths88 · 31/03/2015 07:27

I'm scared of dentists and hate to admit it but I've not been to one for about three years - now I'm too worried about what damage I've done to go back!

Second viewing of a house we've fallen in love with today - all being well we shall be putting in an offer. This is our first house purchase after 10 years together and I'm very excited but also nervous beyond belief! Any advice of must ask questions? Our agent will be doing most of the talking but just incase?

bonzo77 · 31/03/2015 07:46

toffee that is starting to sound to me more like a dental abcess that might need root canal. Have you had an X-ray?

Toffeegirl39 · 31/03/2015 08:05

Hi bonzo she gave me an X-ray last year, and was ok. Then about a month ago she said she would X-ray again after baby is born.
The tooth itself isn't psinful thiugh?? The filling fell out a year or so ago - was agony, then dentist re-filled IT, ever since it has been sensitive.
Root canal doesn't sound nice at all?!?

bonzo77 · 31/03/2015 08:15

Sounds like you should push for earlier treatment. Easier with baby inside than out! Honestly no reason not to get it done while pregnant.

Jessica32 · 31/03/2015 08:22

Maths on the house, if you don't already know I would ask they're situation. Have they found anywhere? When can they move in or do their sellers need more time? If they haven't found anywhere, would they consider moving into rented if they don't for a while? We're selling and have now found somewhere but got buyers early before we had. We committed to exchanging in April with a long completion deadline of July which we could pull forward if we found somewhere. That way our buyers had certainty, we had some time to find somewhere but would move into rented if we really had to. Would they do the same if necessary? With a baby coming it would be good for you to have as much certainty as poss.

Snowflake15 · 31/03/2015 08:23

bonzo I've been getting bleeding gums, I think it's because my mouth gets so dry at night - what would you recommend, corsodyl or just salt water? Sorry I do need to get a dentist but how do we get the exemption forms is it just gp or only midwife?

Jessica32 · 31/03/2015 08:26

Oh and when you get further along the process, close to when you're going to exchange, you will probably need to nag your solicitor all the time. They shouldn't need it, the money they're getting but usually do. I was phoning every day and sometimes twice at the end. Told my sister the same, she also ended up having to and said she couldn't believe how rubbish they were at communicating. You might get lucky, but better to be prepared.

Toffeegirl39 · 31/03/2015 08:32

Thanks bonzo will try and get back to them then. Do you not think I'll need an X-ray though? Is it painful?? I'm a wimp!!Sad

Maths88 · 31/03/2015 09:03

Jessica thanks for this. I already know that they are moving into rented because they want to live in the city that we are leaving and buying amid out of the question for most people. Which means there is zero chain as we are first time buyers. I know this because I spoke to the owners at the open house on saturday. They said that they could start renting from whenever so time shouldn't be too big an issue.

Thanks for the info on solicitors.

Jessica32 · 31/03/2015 09:06

maths That's great, sounds like the easiest situation it's possible to get which is nice.

thecrab · 31/03/2015 09:45

morning ladies I'm hoping I can ask a weird request from anyone with the children's book Gigantosaurus (?) by Jonny Duddle. On the last page I think there is a 'meet the dinosaurs' or something along that line - can you tell me if you think the Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus are incorrectly labelled?

I was in Waterstones yesterday looking at this book and I'm so sure they are but science might have decided to change again since I was a kid (poor Pluto) and last night I spent too long on google trying to find out for myself and sadly it's really getting on my nerves.

Choccyhobnob · 31/03/2015 11:04

16 weeks today! Am sure spud was going crazy yesterday, felt like my stomach was flipping (like when you're nervous) but lower down. Had it all on the train home on one side then after I ate dinner on the other side!

ditzzy · 31/03/2015 11:16

Choccy - that's exactly the feeling I've been describing as a washing machine! Grin nice to know I'm not imagining things Grin

Cornberry · 31/03/2015 12:06

maths go and meet the neighbours, say you're thinking of buying next door and ask them about the area to get a feel for what they're like. Also, open and close all the doors and windows and look under sink and run the taps and the shower.

Maths88 · 31/03/2015 12:40

Thanks for all the tips guys. Now off to visit house agai - fingers crossed!

Maths88 · 31/03/2015 12:40

again

bonzo77 · 31/03/2015 13:38

snowflake it's the effect of preg hormones on your gums. Brush well and use corsadyl. You probably should see a dentist. You need to see your GP or MW if you want an exemption certificate. I didn't actually see my GP, just went to reception to sign the form. It takes a couple of weeks to come back.

toffee you will need a new X-ray (plus at least 2 more during treatment if you have root canal). With modern equipment this is fine while pregnant. Honestly, if your tooth is dead (it sounds it) then root canal is often painless, even without local anaesthetic (though I would offer in anyway just in case).

Snowflake15 · 31/03/2015 14:32

Thank you bonzo! Will get some corsodyl and try and sort exemption form - it's so hard to sort everything while working full time, especially as I haven't told work yet!

DoNotDenyMe · 31/03/2015 14:58

thecrab -sorry we don't have the dinosaur book but I'm now very curious Wink I felt I had to reply as I'm sitting here alone at work on lunch and your Pluto comment did make me smile Grin (having a bad day, so Thank You!)

misssmilla1 · 31/03/2015 15:43

Just bought more maternity tights as I finally found some in navy (it's the small things that make my day..) if you're at the in-between point where your trousers sort of fit but don't button, I bought these things called belly bands. They're basically like bra extenders but for trousers (think a bit more handy than hairband round the button) and they come with one for buttons and one for slidey metal fastenings.

In other news, I am due to fly back to the UK next week and was meant to be staying with my sister for a few days. Ever since I told her the news, she's been really odd with me and won't actually mention the word baby or pregnant and won't directly acknowledge anything to do with it. Since her hearing the news, I have already cut my visit to her short due to her suddenly citing work prep needed (she's a teacher) but I have a feeling it's an excuse because she's not comfortable with it, and I think it could be really weird when I'm there.

As a result am debating emailing her to say what i feel and try and figure out what's going on, as I'd rather just not go at all if it continues to be odd. She doesn't have kids so there's obviously something going on, but it doesn't seem to be the usual stuff that crops up with ppl who want them and can't have them. She's always been quite adamant about not having kids, we're v close and I'm not aware that she's ever tried / has been actively trying

Not sure how to broach this one without making it sound all about me but trying to address the fact I think it could be really uncomfortable next week. Suggestions and ideas greatly appreciated..
