Morning!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh fab news Meggle, you must be sooo relieved! The sonographer sounds lovely, its like everything in prg as long as you have a lovely person looking after you it makes the experience fantastic, a misery looking after you makes it the worst experience of your life. They should only let cheery enthusiastic people be in the profession, it should be an exam they have to pass.

Jacket pots are soo yummy, i lived off them too before i started to feel better.

moomimin · 05/11/2006 13:22

That is fantastic news megglevache. Soooo pleased for you. Wonder how many times you'll watch the dvd.

moomimin · 05/11/2006 13:52

Right might be TMI for you here but do any of you suffer with thrush throughout pg?

I didn't at all with ds but with dd I suffered terribly right through. I have just had another flare up today, it is not something I have a problem with when I am not pg.

Maybe it's another girl, have a bit of a personal theory that it is too many female hormones in my body that cause it? Obviously I have no idea but just wondered if any of you had a problem with it.

hockeymum · 05/11/2006 15:01

Hello all you May 07 people from those of us who were on May 06. Our little ones are 6 months now and wonderful wonderful wonderful. Wishing you lots of luck and fairy dust and no sickness at all! (unlike most of us last year!).

largewhizzingrocketandtonic - saw your thread on the what would you like for christmas thing about the Tiffany stuff. If McDreamy hasn't/doesn't bag it from you, I'd be very interested. I love things like that but they're way in the dream world for me.

Oh, love the quiz by the way, what a good idea, I'm off to go and copy it for our May06 postnatal group. Thanks x

MKG · 05/11/2006 15:06

Howdy all,

Meggle good to here that you scan went well.
Moomimin I think your name should be Frenchfry.

My life has been boring. No one cries for me. My mom has gotten a new granchild a year for the past three years. My mil has had 4 in the past year and has 30 grankids (she has 11 kids) total so no one gets excited.

pebblemum · 05/11/2006 15:31

Hello everyone

We had a great fireworks party last night although after 2.5hrs of watching them ds2 fell asleep so he missed the big finale, a 64 shot one followed by a 1000 shot one (very loud but very pretty). I didnt think i would say it but it was money well spent. We even had all MIL's neighbours watching from their gardens and cheering. We took ds1's friend with us too and in the end there were 11 kids all squashed into the garden, they thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all we had 3hrs of fireworks and then plenty of food. Ds1 is going out tonight with his friend and her parents to watch a local display but its too cold to drag ds2 out again so we will make do with watching from the warmth of our kitchen. From there we can see for miles so should see plenty.

I'm just off to have a look at the questionaire

Have a nice Sunday (in case i dot get back on here later)

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 05/11/2006 15:36

Moomin i too get thrush, had forgotten allllll about it till now! I get it later on and it lasts till i have the baby pretty much, i just go from one bout to another. Cant believe i forgot, its such a misery to have. Poor you getting it already Canesten becomes my friend at the end

I love MkG's name for you, on the same theme i like frenchbeanintheoven

MKG we will be excited for you, am jumping up and down on the spot for you and singing a little congratulatory song too {grin]

Hockeymum thanx for popping in to see us, hope your babies all came exactly on time and were tiny, all popped out easily and were excellent sleepers. Thats what babies born in may do right right? (slightly exasperated plea from largeginandtonic) I havent heard from Mcdreamy yet, will have a look for her and get back to you. You are welcome to them if i cant find her though.

largewhizzingrocketandtonic · 05/11/2006 15:55

Dh will be home very soon.....i may be gone sometime. Anyone up for a spot of babysitting?

moomimin · 05/11/2006 16:21

he he I like both of those names so far. Frenchbeanintheoven would become fbito. Thats quite catchy.

If anyone comes up with anymore I may put them in a hat and pull out the winner. lol

have a great time with dh, lg&t I'm very excited for you.

MKG, I will too be like you, this will be grandchild no.12 for my mum and dad and no.5 for dh's parents so although they will be pleased it will probably be expected. It has been made a bit harder this time as my sis was expecting at exactly the same time, well 4 days before me but unfortunatly she had a missed m/c. We are all very sad for her as she is 40 and it would be her first, she has wanted it for a long time. The family all knew about her pg early and she knew about mine, but no one else knows about mine yet, gonna be hard to tell them that it is due at the same time as theirs would have been. I want it to happen so bad for her, and can't help but feel a little guilty. Mind you until tommorow we won't know all is well with ours!

Creena · 05/11/2006 16:49

Hello everyone!

Man alive, this is one long thread! I haven't been able to read it all properly, so will just say howdy and hope you're all fine and dandy!

Had my dating scan on Thursday and all is well, Saw heartbeat and movement and have to say that the baby looked very laid back and relaxed about it all, reclining casually with his/her leg at a jaunty angle. Starting to feel more in control of morning sickness now (too scared to say that it's easing off, as I said that before only for it to return with a vengeance). Have noticed one thing, though - as well as the awful acne type spots on my chin, I also seem to sprouting lots of hairs. At this rate, I will end up looking like a Cossack by the time I give birth!

aprilmeadow · 05/11/2006 21:08

thats great news Megglevache on your scan!

largewhizzingrocketandtonic, thanks; what you wrote has made me feel alot better I never thought that the bleeding last birth may be worse due to having 2 placentas and feel abit more hopeful. Sorry you had a hard time with your twins also. One of mine was in NICU for a while.

moomimin · 06/11/2006 08:30
