Another vote for the bargain argos pillow. I love it!

I thought you could eat small amounts of haggis. Definitely going to switch to the macsween though if it's liver free. I love my haggis!

monkeymoonpig · 23/03/2015 09:24

Had a long and tiring but very enjoyable day trip to Leicester yesterday, saw the cortege of King RIII and very very lucky to have a seat in the cathedral for Service of Compline, definitely once in a lifetime event. Was dying for a pee when i came out tho! Not sure Grandma's present to DS was a great idea - wooden sword that he's currently attacking us with :-D.lol

thecrab · 23/03/2015 09:41

when is this 'glow' supposed to kick in? Still look like a spotty teenager =(

THEworrywart · 23/03/2015 09:44

crab my mum keeps telling me I look 'amazing' I look at myself and my skins grey (and pink due to spots) got bags down to my jaw and my hair is getting greasy super fast! I need the glow soon I have a wedding a christening and my sisters 21st approaching :(

I'd made it to 17 weeks without morning sickness and now I have it too!

lovesmycake · 23/03/2015 10:05

ah worry now I understand how strange! I have no advice - I sleep in a fort of pillows and it works for me :)

DeladionInch · 23/03/2015 10:09

I keep getting told I've lost weightHmm Hmm

ambientolf · 23/03/2015 10:30

DP's going Argos to get me the pillow today! Thanks ladies - this is why I love MN! You can find the hidden gems Grin x

Snowflake15 · 23/03/2015 11:04

Omg nausea and faintness struck on the train!Sad now I'm feeling so exhausted at work, I feel like I didn't sleep last night due to crazily vivid dreams about babies and breastfeeding!?Shock need bed

Snowflake15 · 23/03/2015 11:10

Oh and my manager saw how sick I am and said 'you're not pregnant are you!?' Woops!!

sauvblanc21 · 23/03/2015 11:34

Thanks ladies Smile I'll order the Argos one now & hubbo can collect on his way home! Jessica - I'm gonna try the Argos, especially with such high praise, and if it doesn't suit me I'll investigate the genii BUT hoping this one will work as genii v expensive! Xx

Choccyhobnob · 23/03/2015 11:40

Sorry I've got lost trying to catch up, which pillow is this?

Also - is anyone getting stabby pains in the old fanjo? Started getting them yesterday (I'm 14+6) and they're like sharp little stabs right in the centre - what is this??

sauvblanc21 · 23/03/2015 12:07

Choccy it's a bargain one from Argos - meinthecorner put a link to it on previous page - thank you!!

Choccy I'm getting the odd stab down there and regularly in my lower abdomen on the left side (sometimes right) - I'm assuming that's our old friend the round ligament!

worry and thecrab I too am a spot fest - booo. And weirdly the spots are exclusively on my chin and jawline. Ick. Friend's wedding & my 30th coming up in next few weeks - BRING ON THE GLOW!! Wink xx

shinjuku09 · 23/03/2015 12:41

Re painkillers there are others you can take including co codamol but best to avoid that during late pregnancy

shinjuku09 · 23/03/2015 12:45

Back from gp and hospital. Gp said I need blood test for whooping cough.Might explain me having a cough nearly all pregnancy so far! Also got thrush which may or may not have been causing the spotting. Because they're not sure had to have the anti d (in my bum this time - nasty surprise!) and got scan booked for Weds to check everything ok even though gp said it's not necessary (hospital are a lot more thorough which in a way is a pain when things are probably fine but good they are careful!). And DD has another round of medication for the longest lasting conjunctivitis ever! Otherwise a good Monday here Grin

misssmilla1 · 23/03/2015 13:00

yes to not having the pregnancy glow! Have random spots and now eczema patches which I haven't had in years; also sporting a good 1.5 inches of grey roots as I'm trying to hold off hair dying as long as possible (as I need an hour in the chair to set the dye, I'm that grey..)

Is anyone else having really vivid dreams? for the last few weeks I've been having really crazy memorable dreams, which is unusual for me.

Jessica32 · 23/03/2015 13:40

sauv will have to look at that pillow myself. Knew dream geni more but don't know how much as haven't looked around at all yet. Good luck.

choccy I've had the same on and off my whole pregnancy so far.

miss yes I have vivid dreams too. Am quite prone normally but they're definitely more often and more odd. Mum wasn't surprised, I think she had the same.

THEworrywart · 23/03/2015 14:01

My friend is 6 months pregnant and has no bump at all.

I'm 17 weeks and my bump is huge I'm struggling to hide it how's this possible I'm not even 7 stone I didn't think I would show hahah

sauvblanc21 · 23/03/2015 14:08

Jess and miss - yes to the dreams! Ha! Last night's highlight was me completing an entire crossfit workout with Matthew McConaughy (as you do) then telling the instructor at the end that I couldn't do the actual weightlifting as I was pregnant. Woke up worrying whether I should've done the workout at all....took me a while to realise it was a dream!

Worry - everyone will be different. I'm 13 weeks and have a small but obvious bump that I can't suck in, fully expect students to start asking soon! And then I read that Abbey Clancy was doing bikini photoshoots with totally flat tum at 13 weeks - EH? Xx

ShootTheMoon · 23/03/2015 14:12

worry I think build has a lot to do with it - I'm not skinny and I'm actually fairly broad, but I am short in the torso and have hypermobility and a fairly strongly curved spine, so I show pretty early - 14.5 weeks here and it is completely obvious to all.

I had a very petite colleague (teeny tiny bones, pelvis and ribs) who kept it more or less private until she started showing at 8 months - she must just carry further back than some women. Given what you've mentioned, there's nowhere for the bump to hide, or go, except out - I'm not surprised if you're showing already Smile.

I had an ED as a teen and while I'm more or less ok now, I lose my main sources of exercise in pg and balloon with water weight due to gestational hypertension. I am frigging enormous in pregnancy but I just have to keep it mentally separate from my everyday self - the baby is more important, I will need strength and health after the pregnancy too, and from previous experience the weight will go away quickly with a bit of effort.

Do you have someone to talk to about the changes to your body, the lack of control etc? I know you have talked about wanting to try to BF and your weight being a factor. I'm not an expert but if I can ever help talk stuff through I'm happy to do so. SIL has been in the grips of ED in recent years and I know consuming it can be.

misssmilla1 · 23/03/2015 14:14

I keep having a recurring dream that someone is after me because they know I'm pregnant and I have to escape. However, I then can't decide what to pack to take with me, and end up trying on endless combinations of clothes and can't decide on which maternity jeans to take which delays the whole thing by hours.

I'm clearly either obsessed by people not finding out yet, or trying to buy more clothes Smile

THEworrywart · 23/03/2015 14:16

I seen Abby Clancy when she was 14 weeks when we getting makeup done in the same place she had a little tiny bump. I'm taller than her and slimmer and look huge :(

I'm back with my consultant on Monday who's trying her hardest to find someone for me to see ASAP because she's worried so hopefully she will have some news for me then!

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 23/03/2015 14:20

Whats wrong with pre-packed salad??

Another one that's feels grey and spotty here. Mie are also all under my chin. I got bad cystic acne with my 1st and praying I don't get that again this time. 16 weeks tomorrow and not patiently waiting for this glow im suppose to be getting!

THEworrywart · 23/03/2015 14:23

It might not have been washed so somewhere but lots of pregnant women still eat it.

misssmilla1 · 23/03/2015 14:30

worry I discount what people like Abbey Clancy look like, probably because preggers or not, I don't have a hope in hell of looking like them, especially post birth Wink A lot of it early on is how and where you carry, and (I think) how you dress. A lot of celebs have stylists on hand to help dress the bump -either to accentuate it or not, and probably have access to much better maternity wear than most of us.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 23/03/2015 14:51

I have the dream genii kicking around somewhere from last time but I found it very irritating by the end - It just got properly in the way when I wanted to roll onto right side for a while to ease my hips as you are supposed to lie on top of it so it supports bump and back. Bought the argos one yesterday as for that price it's worth a go and it should just roll with me.
