Elio I'm so pleased for you, what a relief!
Eallison glad you're feeling better! Hopefully you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy in good health.

Definitely been feeling proper kicks this week, which has been lovely! :)

bonzo77 · 11/03/2015 20:11

crab that's frustrating. It's worth giving feedback. I'm always amazed at how shitty so called "caring professionals" can be. I had a truly rotten time with the anaesthetist at my last CS. I happened to mention it to my MW this time who said that I wasn't the first to say it, and barring an emergency she would try to make sure she doesn't treat me this time.

showtunes that's interesting. Not been mentioned to me, but I guess after 2 CS and the likelyhood of another early delivery, I'm going to have to have a CS regardless. At a scan I had at around 8 weeks they did mention that the placenta seemed to have formed away from the scar, but that was very early on in its development.

eal glad you have the HG sorted. being pg is hard enough without that on top.

ambientolf · 11/03/2015 20:58

mummy when are you due? I'm 14 weeks tomorrow but haven't felt anything yet. I can't wait to feel that first flutter!

Boodlymummy · 11/03/2015 21:39

Argghhh scan tomorrow morning, struggled to think of anything else all day! Hope I sleep, just want to be unconscious then it's scan time, finally!

sauvblanc21 · 11/03/2015 22:27

whereswaldo · 11/03/2015 22:56

Scan tomorrow at 08:45.. Thank goodness it's early! Fingers crossed it's all ok- first time I've had an ultrasound. Good luck Boodly

Excitingtimesahead · 11/03/2015 22:59

Crab, hopefully the clinic staff don't represent to he rest of the maternity unit? Which area are you?

You can always transfer care, I'm lucky in my area I have several hosp all ok distances away.

Glad to hear elio

So so sorry kitty

DeladionInch · 12/03/2015 07:56

ime sonography has sod all to do with midwifery. so you'll only go back there at 20w and not at all during labour

lovesmycake · 12/03/2015 08:16

wonderful news elio

mummyboo I have been feeling kicks too this week and had a few people notice the bump. 15+5 :D

SpamAnderson · 12/03/2015 10:32

Good luck ladies having scans today :D

Got the doppler out again last night and dd1 got to hear the baby's heartbeat :) 3 weeks today until we find out if there's a winky in there or another Fifi ha ha!

Cornberry · 12/03/2015 11:17

Good luck boodly I hope the scan goes well :)

shinjuku09 · 12/03/2015 15:20

Hope everyone is ok today. Scan tomorrow - seems to have taken so long to come round! Might have to go on my own as dd has really bad conjunctivitis and not sure the waiting room full of people will appreciate it!

DeladionInch · 12/03/2015 16:45

another one breathing a sigh of relief here, had my letter with blood results and all looking as it should

Boodlymummy · 12/03/2015 16:48

Scan and screening results ok, phew. Still feels unreal that that perfect tiny human is in me and will be coming out to live with us in a few months. I loved seeing all the anatomical details, especially the brain - amazing! Watched the DVD twice when we got home! Can't get to tell our parents for another week, but then we can go public at last. Right, now to book NCT...

misssmilla1 · 12/03/2015 17:46

I have a call in to my dr to get the results of my Harmony tests. To say I'm sweating buckets is putting it mildly..

bonzo77 · 12/03/2015 17:52

deladion and boodly good news... did you have Harmony or the normal NHS combined test?

misssmilla fingers crossed for you.

Truly fed up with waiting for my combined test results. I know they said 2 weeks, that means not till next tuesday. Argh!

ambientolf · 12/03/2015 17:59

I just got my combined test results and they have came back low risk but with no number? Is this normal? I've seen on here its usually 1 in something x

monkeymoonpig · 12/03/2015 19:22

I finally got my results back today - estimated 1 in 71000 chance of Downs Syndrome. Relieved, feel very lucky compared to some others :-/ this will be last baby so last time i have to worry about it

GoooRooo · 12/03/2015 19:34

elio and monkeymoonpig congrats on the test results!

I have my 12 week scan next Weds and I am bricking it after a MMC last year. I had a private scan at 8 weeks, but it's still playing on my mind a bit. At 40 I am also high risk for Downs so that's another worry and I had a friend lose a baby to Edwards last year and had to give birth at 22 weeks so that is also worrying me - I don't think our trust tests for Edwards or Pataus so they only picked it up at her 20 week scan. All in all, I'm a big ball of worry today.

bonzo77 · 12/03/2015 19:46

gooroo that's my concern too. They didn't mention Edwards or Pataus in the consent paperwork at my hospital either. Kind of odd as it's a big inner London Teaching Hospital. Where are you?

thecrab · 12/03/2015 19:49

excitingtimes sadly in my area there are only two places to give birth, the birthing unit where I had my scan yesterday or a hospital which I'm not keen on as I've heard horror stories! I know that I won't have to deal with those two people for anything else but it just wasn't a good first impression for the place I want to give birth in.

Finally went on a run today after a month (or just over?) off, it was amazing! My stamina is just as good so I'm super chuffed and then I did a 20 minute yoga exercise including crow pose that I can still hold!

So happy! Can't wait for my next run!

How is everyone else doing in regards to exercise?

lovesmycake · 12/03/2015 19:55

Glad to hear everyone's test results were good Smile. My friend is in labour as I type, very exciting. I can't wait to see squishy newborn pictures Smile

TheMidnightHour · 12/03/2015 19:59

Am I the only one who opted not to go for the Down screening? It's our first, and we want it no matter what (and I definitely don't want amnio) but now I'm second guessing it.

misssmilla1 · 12/03/2015 20:02

thecrab I had a few weeks where exercise seemed a laughable idea, but have hit my stride again in the last 10 days. I actually considered going for a jog / run last night but did some random up hill walk on the treadmill instead.

I'm finding my heartbeat is quicker to rise, but stamina is ok, altho I hit patches where I suddenly feel a bit tired, and usually dial down the resistance on the bike or whatever.

I made myself start doing weights again yesterday (not my favourite..) concentrating on legs and core given they may be getting quite a workout in a few months!

Am considering dusting off my bike at the weekend now the weather is better (I'm a fairweather slow cyclist) but keep reading lots of cautionary tales about not getting on a bike due to overbalancing. I figure at this point when I'm not big it can't be that dodgy. Can it?
