We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Hi all,

Clstow sorry to hear about your grandma, wishing you lots of love.

Ohlordy congrats on good scan news.

I'm off to my 23wk midwife apt in a few hours. What happens at that this one then? Quick check up again????? When do they start measuring belly?

I assume I ask for my mat b1 form and maybe a fit to fly note (or something written into my notes at least re low risk / not against medical advice) for our hols in a month?

Then this pm I'm on leave to see a friend and her 11wk old twins ???? I'm very excited!

LaLaLaaaa · 17/03/2015 08:16

MrsF I've got mine today too. This is when they start measuring. Urine test, blood pressure and general check up is all it is. I'm going to ask her to check me for anaemia because I'm feeling very breathless.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/03/2015 09:18

Oh I've been away so long I lost the thread from my list, sorry everyone!
I have been checking in on people's news from time to time, great to hear we've all past the halfway point now! clstow I'm sorry about your grandad and hope the funeral brings you some comfort.
Time is flying because work has been crazy (and exhausting), I was working til midnight last night and then up and down for a few hours with DS so slept in this morning - oops! Just 2 more days before I have a few days off, I'm turning 30 (eek!) and off for a nice relaxing weekend at a posh hotel, can't wait!

Zampa · 17/03/2015 09:52

I just passed my driving test! Life skill; TICK!

Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 09:55

Well done Zampa! Amazing news, the world is your oyster now Grin

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 10:08

Is anyone else having trouble breathing?

OP posts:
Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 10:21

Yes Fatty! I had my usual morning battle of getting the dog in the kitchen before I left for work this morning and was so short of breath. Is this normal?

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 10:26

I think it is. Baby is growing and lungs are getting squashed.

OP posts:
fattymcfatfat · 17/03/2015 11:03

clstow so sorry for your loss
zampa well done! Grin
fatty it can be that your lungs have less room but if there is any faintness or dizziness I would ask mw for a blood test, just to rule out anaemia.

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 11:14

I'm pretty sure I'm not anemic.

Are any of you ladies first time mums-to-be? Just wondered who else was in the same boat as me

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 11:41

Yes, I'm a first timer!

OP posts:
Fattycow · 17/03/2015 11:42

stinky, most of us have updated the stats list to say if the baby is DC1, or DC2 or 3 or 4 or 12. Wink

Congratulations zampa! I have my theory next week, once that's done I've to book my test. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I am beyond stressed about it!

Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 11:59

I have never been able to view the stats lost for some reason, I don't use Facebook so not on the group so I feel a bit out of the loop!

Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 11:59

*list

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 12:01

I'm not on the Facebook group either and I don't want to!

I wonder why you cannot view the stats list? Have you tried clicking the link on your laptop or computer?

OP posts:
Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 12:05

I've just clicked on the stats list and it's worked... Hurrah!

Last time I tried was using our iMac which is riddled with virus' at the minute so that could've been the problem!

Looks like there are loads of first timers Smile

Fattycow · 17/03/2015 12:08

Yay for it working!
There are indeed a lot of first timers, but maybe that is due to the first timers needing more support? If you already have children, you might be less inclined to join a thread (or even mumsnet), as you already have experienced it?

Stinkylinky · 17/03/2015 12:18

I think you've hit the nail on the head Fatty. I definitely feel like I need someone's hand to hold through all this other than my DP, he is brilliant but male lol

Zampa · 17/03/2015 14:35

Thanks for well wishes, all.

MrsC Good luck for your theory. Practice the hazard perception tests online and know your Highway Code and you'll be fine. With the practical, I don't think that I would ever have felt ready so I needed to be pushed into my test. Practice, practice, practice and keep as calm as possible on the day (easier said than done!). I booked an 0820 test, which I would recommend. Gets it out of the way!

broodylicious · 17/03/2015 14:55

Catching up with obem from last week. V emosh.

smallgreenbanana · 17/03/2015 16:43

Well done Zampa! Wish I had time and courage to give driving another go... Very impressed with all ladies doing theirs while pregnant!

I'm a first timer and not on Facebook.

How are you ladies having 23 week check up? I thought standard first time check up was 25 weeks and that's what my midwife had booked me for.Confused

Zampa · 17/03/2015 16:59

Thanks small.

I'm booked in for 25 weeks. People keep on telling me my bump is "neat" ie. small but no issues at the 20 week scan and as I'm a first timer, maybe it's just to be expected. Would like midwife to reassure me tho.

TouchPauseEngage · 17/03/2015 17:18

stinky I'm suffering from both shortness of breath and a dog who won't do what he's supposed to do in the mornings. I swear he is getting more difficult and he's 10 so he should be used to it be now Grin
