Bleurgh, does anyone have any tricks to make the nausea go away? Or ease off a bit? I'm feeling so rough, being sick every few hours and nothing seems to make it better. DH thinks I should go to the gp but given their attitude every time I've been in while pregnant, I think they'll just tell me to get on with it. How are you all managing?

batfish · 19/02/2015 09:27

I don't have any yet but my doc did say to me that if I do get bad sickness then go to him and he will give me something for it. So I would say that if it is at the point where it's really causing problems for you then go to see your GP. In the meantime I think the advice is to eat small amounts of food regularly and I believe that ginger helps! Hope you feel better soon!

That's rubbish, alien Sad You can't compare the bone - aching tiredness of the first trimester with the third. I got lots of energy back by 33 weeks...is that not when crazy nesting instincts kick in so you need the extra boost.

Keep doing what you're doing if it's making you and Dd happy.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 19/02/2015 09:31

ca55andra, I found anything lemon - flavoured helped. Plus fizzy water and rich tea biscuits. Don't let yourself get hungry.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 19/02/2015 09:32

Congratulations Verkey! You must be so chuffed!

Ca55andraMortmain · 19/02/2015 09:35

Thanks for the advice. Its not really causing problems now because I'm off over half term so have been taking it very easy and have been at home all the time, but next week it'll be much trickier! I have some SEN children in my class who really can't be left even for a couple of minutes so I won't really have the option to run out and be sick! Actually angus lemon sounds very tempting, I will give that a try!

bluewisteria · 19/02/2015 09:48

Morning ladies,
I started bleeding heavily last night unfortunately, so I'm going to leave the group.
Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies, and relish being mama's.
Xx

gaggiagirl · 19/02/2015 09:58

Oh blue you poor love. Thinking of you.

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 19/02/2015 10:00

So sorry Blue Flowers

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 19/02/2015 10:10

So sorry blue. Take care of yourself Thanks

batfish · 19/02/2015 10:14

oh bluewisteria I'm so sorry to hear your news, has a doctor confirmed that things definitely aren't OK? I read something on here on a different thread from someone who had a bad bleed during the early stages and everything turned out fine. But if it is bad news then I'm so sorry and take care

Linguaphile · 19/02/2015 10:22

Really sorry to hear that blue. :( Flowers

MrsEvansAlmost · 19/02/2015 10:25

Sorry blue definitely worth getting checked out. Some of the other ladies on the bus have had bleeds, on of them quite severe iirc, and their beans have been fine. You don't know you're out yet Flowers

hideandsqueak · 19/02/2015 10:43

Sorry blue Hmm

SecretlyobsessedbyLego · 19/02/2015 10:55

Congratulations Verkey81 I bet you're so pleased with your BFP. You're due a similar time to me I think Smile xx

SecretlyobsessedbyLego · 19/02/2015 10:57

Is anyone else having periods of feeling nauseous and then it disappears. I have found that if I've not eaten in a bit I start to feel sick. Always panic a bit when I realise I dont feel sick in case there's a problem, but it soon returns after a few hours!

LakeOfDreams · 19/02/2015 10:58

Sorry blue Flowers have you been seen by EPU or the GP. I'd love to be super positive and tell you I bled tons and little bean is OK but I know it's not the same for everyone. Hope you have a lot of support irl

hideandsqueak · 19/02/2015 11:05

Secretlyobsessed that is exactly what I am having! As soon as my stomach is empty the nausea returns. I guess that's why they say to eat little and often. I almost find myself deliberately not eating for a few hours just to check that the nausea is still there!

raggymay · 19/02/2015 11:07

I'm so sorry blue. x I hope you have a lot of support around you right now.

SecretlyobsessedbyLego · 19/02/2015 11:08

My first pregnancy wasn't like this at all! I used to get nauseous about 3pm right through until bedtime. This seems to be going on throughout the day. Think I need to find a healthy snack of some sort to nibble on throughout the day. Hard when all I want to do is shove my face full of chocolate, pizza and other rubbish food! Can't use pregnancy as my excuse for that though, just greed Blush

alien11 · 19/02/2015 11:21

So sorry Blue x

crazypuglady · 19/02/2015 11:47

I'm the same secretly and hide, I have snacks on me all the time. Have to hide to eat them so no one guesses Grin evening is the worst for me.

Congrats verky

hideandsqueak · 19/02/2015 11:59

I'm off to the supermarket to buy healthy snacks. All I really want to eat is toast and pizza.

crazypuglady · 19/02/2015 12:02

Mmmmmmmmm toast. I've just been on the hobnobs so far this morning Biscuit
