New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

Hypnobirthing I meant stupid auto correct!

M27J5M · 06/03/2015 09:12

Smoke if you me your email address I'll try adding you again Smile

m33r · 06/03/2015 09:38

Good luck durham! thinking of you x

coastergirl · 06/03/2015 09:55

Elizardo they think the itching is PEP which apparently used to be called PUPPS? Polymorphic Eruption of Pregnancy, apparently! My bloods are clear for cholestasis, plus I have a rash whereas you don't normally get one with that. The GD is much more settled now I'm on the Metformin. Sugars managed to stay fairly low in hospital while I was on the steroids too, except for that one spike shortly after the second injection. So glad to have those out of the way now. I didn't realise how exhausting it would be, being in hospital having my sugars checked every 2 hours, so I'm glad that is now done rather than being overnight leading up to my section.

In other news, the hospital called this morning and brought my section forward to Tuesday! It's nice to see they are still trying to get me done sooner rather than later, and it means only 4 sleeps until we meet our little one!

coastergirl · 06/03/2015 09:56

Also meant to say good luck Durham! You have really been through the mill. Can't wait to hear that you are no longer pregnant and have a lovely baby to show for everything you've been through.

theonewiththenoisychild · 06/03/2015 11:27

good luck durham

well we have 18 sleeps to go here. dd and ds getting very excited now waiting for their little brother. i am very uncomfortable at the moment. ive got big plans for this weekend. I want to get all the odd jobs finished off and get everywhere scrubbed up. My diary seems to be filling up fast and a few of my friends individually are trying to arrange a last meet up before baby arrives too which will be great Grin

shelley1977 · 06/03/2015 11:48

Still waiting for things to progress here, still hopeful something more will happen soon. Let hope things get a move on for all and we don't suffer much longer. I cant wait to eat properly and sleep and move without pain or need to pee a million times a night!

theonewiththenoisychild · 06/03/2015 12:34

shelley i feel exactly the same. i think having a newborn is a walk in the park compared to end of pregnancy for me. i sooooo cant wait until its over and done with and i have my beautiful boy it will all be worth it then

ZylaB · 06/03/2015 12:48

coaster every 2 hours us lucky, I had mine done every hour when I had the steroids! :(

coastergirl · 06/03/2015 13:31

ZylaB every hour?! Wow. They were quite lax with mine tbh. They left me at 4am because they thought it was better I get some sleep...which would have been lovely except I was lying awake waiting for them. I'd have got more sleep if they'd come and done the check. Did yours ever go high? I was so on edge when I got that 9, knowing that if it went to 10 it meant being transferred to the labour ward and having an insulin drip. The rest of the time it stayed around 6 or below though. That spike did show me that it was important that I was there being monitored though.

smokeandglitter · 06/03/2015 14:53

Also meant to ask everyone, been told there's a possibility of our little one's kidneys retaining fluid or something. Bit confusing as midwife wouldn't answer questions and happened at the same sort of time as being told about precautionary stay in neonatal. It was a borderline reading and there was hope baby just needed a wee, but there was some possibility about antibiotics and scans on baby after birth. Sorry to be vague, just wondered if anyone had a similar experience?

Coaster - thank you so much. I really hope your section goes well, it sounds like it's been really hard for you. So glad meeting your little one is closer than ever! Can't wait to see a photo!

M27j5m - hope the end really is near for you, thank you, have messaged email :-)

Durham - bless you, hope we hear from you soon with a beautiful baby update

Rainbow - thank you! I didn't find it hard to get into but it really suits my way of thinking anyway. I think it's definitely more effective to start early, but you will still get huge benefits if you start now! (Start now!) it is all about the power of positive thinking and suggestive language but they are realistic, there's no promise of perfection, it is simply that it helps you to create a birth which goes as right as possible for you. So if you have an emergency c-section! It still helps you get through the early stages and go through with the section with less stress if you see what I mean. So yes, don't be afraid to start now, I find the visualisations and guided meditations easy to connect with, they make sense to me and so are easy to conjure to mind. It is best to have a birthing partner involved as you have to change using certain words and midwives never get this right! I'm going to be sticking signs up everywhere as well! I couldn't afford classes so have been doing Katherine graves book and CD and find her guided meditation very good. Always willing to chat further about it!

Shelley and theone- it is uncomfy isn't it, I'm looking forward to my SPD and tendonsis improving. Theone - it must be so lovely having your two older little ones excited to meet their brother!

smokeandglitter · 06/03/2015 14:54

**Neonatal was unrelated to potential kidney issue but diverted my attention!

ZylaB · 06/03/2015 15:13

coaster yes it did go high and I ended up on the drip for the second day of steroids, but I'm type 1 and it was affecting my body absorbing my normal insulin injections. I did keep it nice and low during my induction though so stayed off the sliding scale insulin/glucose drip most type 1s end up in in labour (and stayed off it when I had to have the emcs too) so I'm pleased with that. Now I'm just battling with it while breastfeeding....all fun

MGFM · 06/03/2015 17:38

39+3 so frustrated....I want this baby to arrive already! Heartburn has gone from just heartburn to me actually vomiting in the middle of the night several times.....argh!

Wherediparkmybroom · 06/03/2015 18:49

Congratulations Gudgy, she is beautiful!! Also didn't expect quite the c section I got but I think I misjudged myself after 2 natural births! War wounds later....

fishfingerSarnies · 06/03/2015 19:15

Ahh MGFM I had that too last week had to vomit in the bin by my bed and accidentally wet myself at the same time! Love being pregnant. My heartburn has been a bit better the last few days think baby has dropped.
Just so emotional all the time now really struggling being on my own with poor dd who keeps seeing me sobbing over stupid things like dropping the dinner. She's going to my Mil on Tuesday, bit earlier than I'd planed but she's excited and my dh will be staying there a lot of the time she's away so don't feel too bad about her being gone for over 2 weeks Shock am I a terrible mother? suddenly feeling all sorts of guilt. Just want the next few weeks over and baby her and dh home.
Sorry for my emotional rant I realise a lot of you have much more going on than feeling a bit lonely and guilty. Blush

Blue03 · 06/03/2015 20:09

Fish finger I keep beating myself up and feeling guilty for so many things these days. Im blaming a lot of it on hormones, we want to make everyone happy and do the best for all involved- which are often conflicting.

Ive had the middle of the night vom a couple of times lately, and feel so so lucky not to have peed at the same time. Last nights sleep was disturbed by leg cramp and a pelvis that felt like it had snapped as I turned over.

Sorry TMI but anyone else finding clear "snot" in their pants several times a day? Its been 3 days now and not sure if its a sign things are starting?

Lifeisabeach · 06/03/2015 20:12

Durham, hope things are going well! Looking forward to hearing baby news. You really have been through the mill so I hope everything has gone smoothly.

Smokeandglitter, nice to see you back. It sounds like you have been having a tough time of it too. I hope the meeting on Monday goes well and they agree that LO doesn't need to stay in hospital.

Hello to everyone else, sorry for not responding individually.

I'm 37+4, not feeling too bad and just trying to make the most of the last couple of weeks of being pregnant, as this will definitely be the last time for me (DC3). I'm trying to remember the feeling of baby moving inside me and of having a bump as I know I'll miss it a bit once baby is born. But I have to admit, I'm also really looking forward to having newborn cuddles, just got to get the birth bit out of the way first!!

theonewiththenoisychild · 06/03/2015 23:19

hi ladies. today i decided to clean the tile grout in the bathroom with bleach and a toothbrush. floor to ceiling tiles on every wall of the bathroom. Im feeling soooo sore now Sad still lots more on my to do list for the weekend. window cleaning in the morning. ten if ive got the energy i think i will give the kitchen a really good scrub

Gudgyx · 06/03/2015 23:40

Are we having an antenatal thread? Or just continuing in here?

Anyone ever worried that their newborn doesn't cry enough? Am I being pfb? Lucia very rarely cries at all. She sleeps all the time! Is that normal for a newborn? Her eyes are closed most of the time too.

Midwife coming out tomorrow to do Lucia's heel prick test and take my staples out, I'm dreading both of them!

I am feeling a lot better now! Very surprised at how quick I'm recovering from the section. Still walking a bit gingerly, but I'm doing everything with the baby now, and even a bit of housework! Granted I'm full of tramadol most of the time, but still! I thought I was going to die with the pain on Tuesday, to be like this now just feels like a miracle

DurhamRed · 07/03/2015 04:29

Hi all, just an update for you. Our little girl Hettie was born today at 2.20am weighing 4lb 9oz (our tiny bundle of joy)...Will upload a photo later. She's absolutely amazing!

DurhamRed · 07/03/2015 05:46

Correction to weight...she is 4lb 15oz (my oh is rubbish at conversions)

Blue03 · 07/03/2015 07:04

Congrats Durham

Gudgy, she probably wont even cry when the heel prick test is done. Wouldn't know how having staples removed feels though. Can't believe you're doing housework just take it steady. Enjoy the non crying baby while it lasts, she must be really content x

Lifeisabeach · 07/03/2015 07:24

Congratulations Durham, so pleased for you! :-)

Rainbow555 · 07/03/2015 08:11

Yay durham. Congrats, can't wait to see pics! Love the name too!
Theone perhaps baby is due soon with this urge to clean!! My windows can stay dirty >definitely not nesting yet<

Sounds interesting smoke I have been trying one of the breathing methods but not the visualisations yet and not sure I could convince DH to help. Part of dm loves the idea the other thinks it might be hard to do it whilst in the height of labour! I must just start prioritising quiet time for myself (mum and partner staying with us from uk) to practice and listen to the cd.
