I think I'm feeling movement. It seems every night between 8-9pm ish when I'm sitting on the sofa I get a popping/bubbly feeling, which comes and goes. My mw said that alot of first timers mistake wind for movement!

SophieBarringtonWard · 28/01/2015 21:04

LaLa5 I have my first round of pregnancy thrush (am susceptible to it in pregnancy), lovely. I did a dipstick & it's leading to lots of leukocytes, blood etc in the urine but no UTI symptoms so am hoping it's just the thrush!

LaLa5 · 28/01/2015 21:07

:( Sophie that's not great, hope it clears up soon. I had leukocytes in urine. I thought I had round ligament pain as I was sore but mw thinks it's prob uti. I'm just hoping I can get rid of it before any problems.

No movement here yet

TTCMrsF · 28/01/2015 21:07

Good luck Sarky and welcome pinkie. I had been wondering if I was feeling any movements since about 13wks (early I know, I'm 16wks tomorrow). Being a first timer I don't know what it should feel like!

I was getting funny little feelings / almost mild pain, not necessarily a 'nice' feeling. I wondered if it was baby (baby was 11cm long at 13+5 scan) as I used to feel ovulation and had 'tummy feelings' before I tested + (which prob was me feeling implantation). So maybe I can just feel "things". But also from 13 to 16 weeks lots of growing going on so maybe was just mild growing / stretching pains?!

However today noticed these feelings have been at same sort of time last night and tonight which would be weird for growing pains but maybe babies movement pattern. Who knows. I shall wait and see when
I def get a wow 'I feel it' movement (hopefully I'm sure that's a definite nice feeling) then I can compare what I've been feeling to that.

16wk midwife apt tomorrow so hope she tries to listen to heartbeat. :-)

Luckystar82 · 28/01/2015 21:10

I haven't felt any movement yet. But I'm a first time mum, so I don't expect to feel anything until 20 weeks. I seem to have got away with thrush so far and hot flushes, in fact usually I'm a 'hot' person but since being pregnant I've become a 'cold' person... Very odd

What is an anterior placenta?

16+2 today

Luckystar82 · 28/01/2015 21:10

Good luck sarkymare really hope you get a bfp

Luckystar82 · 28/01/2015 21:13

ttcmrsf apparently babies are most active between 9pm to 1am so feeling movement then would make sense

TTCMrsF · 28/01/2015 21:13

Hope you get better soon Sophie and LaLa.

My feelings are def not popping / bubbling and I'm def good at letting the wind out ?? much to hubby's dislike! So do think mine may be some growing pains (really v mild not bad) but fingers crossed I get the nice feelings of bubbling / tickling soon!

jmojo · 29/01/2015 02:09

Lucky anterior placents means the placenta has fixed to the front wall of the uterus, posterior means thr back wall, fundal means the top of your uterus, and low lying/ placents praevia means it is close to or over your cervix. They should look at your 20 wk scsn if they haven't already!!

WantToGoingTo · 29/01/2015 06:23

Hello sarky! Great to hear from you :) have my fx for you on Monday, hope you get your bfp soon Thanks

StoneBaby · 29/01/2015 07:23

No movement here neither. But part of my tommy in in the morning is very hard and I guess it's the baby pushing against it as all the surrounding area is soft.

Luckystar what's all this about waitrose. Just joined up so I could get free coffee on maternity leave...there's literally nothing to do in the tiny town I live in and it'll stop me from spending loads of money in Costa! I only got my card last week - might post it back in complaint! Just looked at their website and I'll be ok as there's no cafe at my branch - just a self service machine which will apparently still be free. Phew!

Sarky finger crossed for you.

I've missed a few days on here as I was away at the weekend so hope everyone is doing well. Stayed in London and had a fab time at the zoo. It turns out to be a great place to see all the various buggies in action with the added bonus that I've managed to get DH interested in starting to look for one.

Haven't been sick for a week now, although some days I still feel a bit rough, especially if I am tired. However. On the other days I feel like a new person! Hopefully it's all good from here although the downside is that I don't really feel pregnant apart from the small bump and the need to swig on gaviscon before bed most nights. For those still feeling rough hang on in there as hopefully you'll feel better soon - although at the time it feels like it is never ending. I think going away for a weekend and spending all day walking around in the sunshine actually made a real difference as I could just slob on the sofa!

Morning all! Happy Thursday to everyone. Anyone had much snow? We've only had a few flakes but apparently predicted more later. Didn't feel the earthquake last night so a bit miffed by that. Feeling knackered today after dd got into my bed at 5am and hasn't slept since. Grr. Still, stuff to look forward to - we are going to the south coast on Saturday to see and stay with some friends for the afternoon and night, Sunday we will travel up to Bedfordshire for a night in a hotel, then off to Whipsnade Zoo on Monday. Just hope my sickness decides to take a little break or it could be quite an uncomfortable eight hours in the car!

Butler4 · 29/01/2015 08:36

Freaking out this morning! Just wiped and had some blood! Pin head of read and some pinky discharge. Rhesus negative so phoned midwife at triage and told to monitor and call her back. Please some one calm me down! 18 weeks tomorrow

Number3cometome · 29/01/2015 08:57

Morning,
I just read about the earthquake, I remember the one we had in London a few years back, my daughter literally woke up 30-60 seconds before it happened and started crying, I was about to get off the bed and the place started shaking. scary stuff.

We are forecast snow but not sure it will happen. i can't stand the stuff and I have football Saturday so hoping not!

I woke up last night with stomach pains again, also got very periody achey pains on the left hand side today. Waiting for baby to give me a wiggle so I feel a bit of reassurance!

Number3cometome · 29/01/2015 08:58

Butler4 FX Butler, you've been going well so far haven't you? So hopefully just a minor blip and nothing serious x

Butler4 · 29/01/2015 09:04

Yea all has been ok so far. I am
Snowed in and my husband works away so just a bit panicked! It was just a pin head of blood and some discharge in pants and nothing since so hoping everything is ok. Still get really worked up though as its first baby!

ohlordyplordy · 29/01/2015 09:13

Snow overnight and still coming down here.
Hi Sarky, good luck for Monday, got everything crossed for you x.
Butler I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry. Lots of women bleed during their pregnancies and are fine. I hope it's nothing serious.
Just a reminder about the aldi baby event - just been and got huge box of baby wipes, nappy sacks, hooded towels and fleecy blankets. They didn't have the muslins or cellular blankets in my branch, but my mum has them in hers, so she's getting me those and stair gates.
This afternoon i'm picking up a second hand medela swing breast pump I found on preloved - all accessories are still sealed in their original packaging, as the owner already had a set of accessories that she bought to use with the hospitals pump. She's only used the pump itself a couple of times. It's £130 in Boots, and I'm getting it for £60 - majorly chuffed.
Plus we're picking up a mamas and papas cot bed on Saturday for £50 (obviously we'll be getting a brand new mattress to go with it).
Seriously, don't be worried about going second hand ladies, there are some great bargains to be had (obviously things that can't be hygienically cleaned, and the car seat we'll be getting new). By cutting the cost of things, it makes me less twitchy about the fact that i'm going to take the full year maternity leave, with 13 weeks unpaid.

hippymama1 · 29/01/2015 09:25

Number3cometome · 29/01/2015 09:31

Welcome Hippy!

WantToGoingTo · 29/01/2015 09:56

butler the same happened to me at 13 weeks - all was fine :) it was cos cervix extra sensitive and think dtd aggravated it!

Butler4 · 29/01/2015 10:07

Hi wantto, my dh is away so haven't dtd since weekend. Will phone midwife soon and see what's happening. Nothing since though so hopefully that's good.

ohlordyplordy · 29/01/2015 10:42

Argh, snow hasn't stopped so it looks like i'm stuck in now.
On a positive note, I just found 3 flakes in the cupboard, left from a 4 pack we got for topping the Christmas trifle...wahoo!

supersalmon1 · 29/01/2015 10:49
