Spud.

Unrelated to my username, funnily enough.

FlyingSpud · 19/01/2015 20:01

Tiny I'm not on ADs and never have been however I'm very up and down emotionally. It sucks. Thanks

Dailylurker · 19/01/2015 20:03

My 1st and 2nd labours were 26 hours, 1st induced second spontaneous labour. 3rd was 7 hours from 1st contraction to delivery, I am convinced the raspberry leaf tea capsules I took from about 36 weeks were the reason... I'll definitely be necking them again! x

Tallalime · 19/01/2015 20:07

I am calling mine Nugget.

Only secretly and in my head though. I am too paranoid about things going wrong to name it aloud like a tiny little Voldemort

I am a bit crampy this evening, which is making me Sad Though it appears to be mostly wind Blush

I have Dr's appointment on Thursday, so hoping to suppress the anxiety until then. Everyone who knows (DH, parents and IL's) is very optimistic, so I feel like the voice of doom.

brickiemum2 · 19/01/2015 20:21

I'm referring to mine as poppy (poppy seed size...get it lol?) but only to myself. It's a bit strange, I'm feeling very bonded to her/him already despite not knowing if poppy will still be there come my scan on 4th March Confused I don't remember feeling that this earlier on with my other pregnancies.

Maths88 · 19/01/2015 20:23

Brickie ours is dinosaur!

TerrysNo3 · 19/01/2015 20:38

evening all! Smile

brickie DD was poppy for exactly that reason! And it is now her middle name as we loved the link so much, DS spent the first month of her life calling her Poppy still. Smile DS was Peanut and my mc pregnancy was Pip. I want to stick with the P theme so any ideas for this one (to be named after I see it's beating heart Grin)

This is my third child, labour with DS was 22 hours but "painful" (read back to back hence excruciating agony) was about 6 hours until I got an epidural (which is heaven and forget about your idealistic no pain relief labour... if you need it you need it!). DD was my perfect homebirth with no pain relief, so much so that within a few hours I was telling DH "I have to do that again" Grin

2 more sleeps!!!!

TerrysNo3 · 19/01/2015 20:40

oh and sorry, DD was 8 hours from first feeling to being born, painful labour was a couple of hours iirc.

In my head, mine is Monkey (Because I had Me and My Monkey in my head this morning..er) but trying to calm my self because I'm anxious it won't stay. I hated the cramping and nausea, it comes in waves but when it goes, that's somehow worse because I am worried it's going to leave me.

I've booked to see my counsellor this week after a loooooong break. Need some help keeping my head straight.

45Monty · 19/01/2015 20:45

The newbie realizing this is a roller coaster of symptoms. Day, hour, minute... They change. UGH!

On a positive note, I am no longer freezing!

ShootTheMoon · 19/01/2015 20:54

No name for this one yet. DD was pamplemousse because at some stage she was the size of a pineapple. Ouch! Would that work for the P theme?

I have just taken a look at my mat clothes from last time - I was heavily preg in winter so they are hopeless. And I have somehow ended up with 15 pairs of maternity trousers after a bit of ordering and a generous bundle from my friend. And I hate them all! They just used to peel, sausage-like, down my tree trunk thighs.

No bloody tops though, I'm going to be clothed only from the waist down Confused

My god the stretch waistband felt good after nearly bursting out of my trousers at work today Blush

Stoatystoat · 19/01/2015 21:07

My big problem is pyjamas being tight

Treaclepie19 · 19/01/2015 21:18

This one's just called baby or little bean.
My mc was little seed.

I also feel like i can't bond til I know everything is ok.

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow as work has been stressful and it's stressingme more worrying I might hurt baby. Hoping she can help.

Stoatystoat · 19/01/2015 21:22

Is it long hours, responsibility or physically demanding? Sorry you're stressing, that's the last thing you need. Are you wanting strategies or signing off? Flowers

3luckystars · 19/01/2015 21:27

I would like to join but why didnt you eat the cheesecake?

Treaclepie19 · 19/01/2015 21:27

I'm a teacher. I was fine and happy but they've moved me to a different class to cover with 3 days notice. I've given it over a week and more and more is getting piled on me.
I am hoping to get a fit to work note to say I need to go back to my old class - less stressful.
We will see :/

Stoatystoat · 19/01/2015 21:33

Oh that is rough. That's such a hard job anyway, being as you're on show all the time. I taught for an hour today (in higher ed - only do a few hours a month, get to work at home or hide in my office quite a lot you are a hero) but in a different class is quite a shift for you. Hope you get the outcome you want.

GailTheFish · 19/01/2015 21:34

Mine is also Little Bean - only in my head at the moment, though I have already started talking to it when I'm on my own.

Stoaty yep I'm trying to keep up with the gym and yoga, but just taking it fairly easy and not doing anything too strenuous. I am a fair weather runner, but will be trying to get back out running once the sub-zero temperatures have cleared up. I'm also playing netball still, though trying to avoid too much contact - I play mixed netball so that is not always easy when playing against a 6 foot bloke!

Sorry to hear you're having a stressful time at work Treacle, hope the Dr tomorrow is helpful.

Treaclepie19 · 19/01/2015 21:39

Thank you ladies x
I hope I do too but I'm also nervous my life at work will be made horrible because of them having to pick up the pieces.
I need to put my health and little bean's first though.

TerrysNo3 · 19/01/2015 21:40

shoot I'm now picturing trying to teach my 3yo DD to say pamplemousse!! [ She currently wants 2 babies (not that she knows I'm pregnant) called Rosie and Robbie. Any current parents with Peppa Pig watching toddlers may get that! Smile

Stoatystoat · 19/01/2015 21:43

Hopefully I'll be okay to resume if my back calms down then gail. Exercise is v important to my mental health. I walk a lot as well (as part of my commute).

It was nice to feel I had company on my commute today. That's cute you're talking to yours. I have definitely not sung the song Phoebe sings to hers oh no.... (Are you in there little foetus? In nine months will you come greet us? I will buy you some Adidas)

Treaclepie19 · 19/01/2015 21:45

Hehe stoaty that made me giggle x

Dailylurker · 19/01/2015 21:49

Terrys - I have a Rosie :) didn't realise there was a peppa link...

ShootTheMoon · 19/01/2015 22:26

Grin terrys Grin we taught our three year old to say 'effervesce' recently, just because we are mean we thought it was funny Wink. Give her a go with pamplemousse! Actually... Is it grapefruit and not pineapple?! I forget!

How about... Panda, poppet, pumpkin, pea, peach...

deeplybaffled · 19/01/2015 22:28

stoaty and Gail - so far, I've managed to keep on running and playing badminton, but some days are definitely easier than others, depending on the tiredness. Nearly didn't go running tonight, but feel better for it - and hoping it might help in the poo department!
