Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Sadly I'm out, ladies! Was all too good to be true. Woke up in Koh Samui to blood when I went to the loo which has got heavier and heavier and am having really painful cramps. Definitely miscarrying. To compound matters I had to have a goodbye lunch with dad and brother on the beach during it, and then because all the direct flights back to Bangkok were sold out, me and DH had to get a 2 hour ferry to mainland, then coach to airport, wait there 2 hours and then fly tonight. The timing is nothing short of impeccable!!! Anyway am taking what positive I can from things - I never thought I could get preg naturally, so with any luck I will do again soon. Going to the doctors tomorrow for a few investigations to see if there's anything obvious they can point to that might have caused it. In the meantime I will just grit my teeth and get thru the rest of this ridiculous day..!

Wishing all of you the very best with your pregnancies and hoping that none of you have a day like mine today!!! Love... x x x x Envy

Hi all, I also joined the august group but as I am a late (24th august) I thought I'd dip into this one (hope nobody minds) as I feel miles away from the ladies on there...

This is certainly a surprise last baby for us, I have 2 boys (14 & 16) a stepson (9) I was sterilised then decided I wanted one more so had it reversed and had a little girl 13 months ago and was enjoying her almost being almost an only child and then here we are again with a lovely Christmas present that we weren't expecting.

Stats 36, dc4 due 24/08/15 :) xx

Congratulations to you all xxx

missthebubbles · 04/01/2015 10:24

Thank you all so much Smile survived the trek to airport, just another 4 hours to go. Lol.
Midnight - I have everything crossed for you that you reach smug mum of miracle baby status!! Grin
Hopefully not too long til I'm back on the ante-natal boards. Good luck all xxx

kiltedsheep · 04/01/2015 12:37

can I join? got a BFP (to my huge surprise - and thanks largely to advice from the TTC board on MN!) on the 2nd. EED according to NHS website is 10th Sept.

it's so helpful being able to read through this thread and see what everyone's experience is, as this is bean #1 for me and i am absolutely bricking it because i don't know what to expect (and am naturally very anxious anyway). my only symptoms so far have been sore boobs, so i keep obsessively feeling them in order to check that they're still sore...! Hmm will try to see the doctor on Tues.

chandler - i'm so sorry to hear the news. am trying to send you positive vibes all the way to Thailand. take care of yourself. Flowers

Maths88 · 04/01/2015 13:06

Sesame ks1? I would not have the patience for that. I teach secondary Maths so I'm hoping that I can get away with not telling anyone for a bit longer.

I'm thinking about having a chat with the school nurse so that they can tell me if there is anything going around the school that i need to be aware of - do you think this would be ok?

Watching some old obem - not sure if that's a good idea lol?!

kiltedsheep · 04/01/2015 13:46

ok, i just can't take it anymore!! cb are going to make a mint out of me, but i'm going to Boots to get another digital test, just for reassurance.

i'm supposed to be spending the whole of today working on a really important thingy for tomorrow (unfortuately i'm a barrister and Christmas holidays tend to lose all real meaning) but i can't concentrate! argh

spamanderson · 04/01/2015 15:15

maths88 I am a pregnancy and labour programme addict! Try to keep me away from OBEM, I just can't! Just remember that you will hear the screaming and think oh my god, is that what it's like? and see the people who have difficulties etc, just don't think that you will have it like that, I scared myself with dd1 and was a nervous wreck when I went into labour :(
I think it's a good idea to mention to the school nurse, just in case something nasty is going around :)
Hi again kilted I have used at least 10 cheapies (ok more like 20), bought a 2 pack of frer, a 2 pack of clear blue digi but managed to order the wrong bloody ones with no date on :/ and just bought another digi with the weeks on to try in the morning :D

Maths88 · 04/01/2015 15:21

Thanks spam you make me feel so much more normal! I love obem any other good recommendations? Dh got bored of watching it so is now playing a zombie game - slightly different!

I've packed my work bag for tomorrow boo!

nutelladipper · 04/01/2015 15:45

Ooh I loved watching obem they were on when I was pregnant both times.
I've started to feel sick - sick if I'm hungry, sick if I eat. I feel so ropey. So now stressing about getting through work tomorrow.
I might get some boiled sweets to suck on?!
X

spamanderson · 04/01/2015 16:41

There's another one called Nine Months Later That I've just started watching maths. It's quite 'fluffy' not quite as warts and all like OBEM but it's nice :) all the good bits, the bumps and the babies then how the parents adjust after birth etc :) it shows first time parents :D
Ha ha that's nice, yesterday I was called a bit not normal :D nicest way I've been described I think ;)

kiltedsheep · 04/01/2015 17:36

my husband has always switched the channel over whenever obem's been on in the past...but i wonder if it might be helpful to watch it now (whilst bearing in mind that it might well focus on the more difficult births)! will have a look for 'nine months later'.

spam - Boots was closed anyway, which has prevented me from spending (hopefully unnecessarily?) on more tests!

i'm wondering if/when i'll start to feel queasy etc. i read somewhere that it might be at around 6 weeks, but i saw that lots of you guys are already feeling nauseous, and i know everyone's different blah blah. God only knows what's going on in my body! It's all so mysterious.

Dailylurker · 04/01/2015 17:42

I've never had any sickness in pregnancy, and I'm hoping this one is going to be exactly the same...

Today I went out and bought some trainers as I got sciatica last time and wearing trainers was the only thing that helped so I bought some reasonably ok looking ones to wear most of the time to try and prevent it!

GinFace · 04/01/2015 18:22

Oh fuck. I'd forgotten about the sciatica.

SIGH.
