Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

I'm still taking the trying for a baby pills I had in for TTC-ing. They're suitable for early pregnancy too. Then once they're done, I have the pregacare pills :)

TheMidnightHour · 03/01/2015 11:47

Morning all! Am feeling pretty good today & hope you are too! Big welcome & congrats to all the new BFP-ers :)

Am still taking the TTC vitamins - they're full of all the right stuff anyway, and I have a bit of a stash from the last time they were on 3-for-2

Went to have a look round the sales yesterday and bought some teeny tiny socks and pack of little vests. Am trying to tell myself they're samples, so I can knit things to the right size and it's not wildly early to do this (it is, though, isn't it?). But I am ferociously excited, and getting more confident this will stick! Wk12 seems so far away though (am at 5+5). Told my mum yesterday, too, as she's one of 2 people who know we've been TTC and she's thrilled. So it feels a little more real now...

Hi can I join? Tested on New years day and yesterday and got positives.

We've been trying for 2.5 yrs for DC2 with a mc and ectopic along the way.

Stats 32, Hampshire, DS4 , edd 10/09

Maths88 · 03/01/2015 14:51

Spam I am also extremely nervous and panicking at any slight twinge. Tmi but I've got some brown discharge today - just a tiny bit and its light brown - should I be worried at all?

I'm super excited but also because this is my first experience of all of this I can't help but be nervous!

NatalieBee · 03/01/2015 15:19

Maths, try not to worry! Easier said than done I know! I had brown spotting on Monday and have had nothing since! My symptoms are also getting worse so I'm trying not to worry either I've had nothing since that small spoonful of brown! Xx

spamanderson · 03/01/2015 17:41

maths I wouldn't worry if it's just Brian as its old blood, from implantation or whatnot. I had a bleed around 10 weeks with dd1 but was all brown so they weren't concerned about it at all as it was just old blood.
natalie it's a good sign that your symptoms are getting worse as hopefully it means your hormones are getting stronger :) I haven't felt nauseas today or had cramps like I have been so not sure if that was all the implantation stuff or not :/

spamanderson · 03/01/2015 17:49

brian... Oh dear BROWN! I swear I have baby brain already. Yesterday I went out in odd shoes, one blue, one black... Easy mistake to make? One of them was my DHs shoe that was 2 sizes too big for me :/

GinFace · 03/01/2015 18:18

Brown discharge is really common and rarely anything to worry about. It's scary though.

How is everyone today? Anyone else back to work Monday?

iniquity · 03/01/2015 18:32

Hi gin. I've got a nine hour shift at the hospital on Monday. My first one.
Problem is I feel so tired and forgetful so doubt I'm gonna make a good impression
.
I was at the self service machine at boots today and I forgot to take my change. A women comes over and says is this change yours and I said no because I thought I'd paid by card!
I think this baby's taken hold of my brain!

sebsmummy1 · 03/01/2015 18:32

Girls can I ask, is anyone having a continuous flow of white discharge? My doctor prescribed a thrush pessary as she suspected thrush and I used it about five days ago. For the last few days I've assumed it was the remnants if the pessary working it's way out but now I think it's just me!!

I've read about leukorrhea being common in pregnancy so I'm hoping it's this. Wondering if anyone else has the same? I'm 5 weeks btw.

Maths88 · 03/01/2015 18:41

Back to work on Monday too Gin. I've had two weeks off and really gonna find Monday morning difficult! 7 weeks till half term - I'm a teacher! Haven't had any time to just chill as went to the U.K. first week to see all of our family which was non stop and then had family visiting us all of this week which tbh has been a nightmare and has seriously changed how I think about these particularly relatives (not for the better)!

Think work may be more relaxing than this week!

GinFace · 03/01/2015 19:37

Sebs I think strange things go on down there during pregnancy...as long as it doesn't smell and isn't a dodgy colour or have blood in it then I'm sure it's perfectly normal. Maybe pop back to your GP if the thrush stuff isn't doing its job? I remember having HIDEOUS thrush around 7 months with DS...frigging awful.

Good luck to everyone back to work on Monday. I think I've forgotten how to do my job!

NatalieBee · 03/01/2015 20:43

I agree with Gin! A lot of things change down there, all the hormones going through our bodies!

Has anyone else been having headaches? I have some cracking ones lately and I don't usually! I assume a pregnancy symptom but I'm reluctant to take paracetamol! Hmm xx

nutelladipper · 03/01/2015 21:09

I'm dreading work. I've managed a 1-2hr nap every day since 20th sept! It'll be a killer going all day Monday!

I've another symptom - for the last few nights after my evening meal I feel hungry! But a sick kind of hungry. First night I kept eating but it made me feel worse so since I've just tried to get through it. Now I might just have to go to bed!

X

LittleSesameSeed · 03/01/2015 21:39

Maths I wouldn't worry about brown blood as that means it's old!
I'll be back to work weds- I also teach but only three days a work- had to tell people at work quite early on last time as I kept having to leave the class to go to the toilet!?? xx

GinFace · 03/01/2015 21:53

Natalie I've had some banging headaches over the past week. Took a couple of paracetamol.

Those ladies with other DC...when are you telling them? We're planning to tell DS on Saturday after the scan if everything is well.

iniquity · 03/01/2015 22:35

We've already told Ds But we have been joking about being pregnant the last 4 years so he doesn't beleive us

nutelladipper · 03/01/2015 23:06

Won't tell mine until 20 wks scan if I can get away with it. X

deeplybaffled · 03/01/2015 23:55

Hello - may I join?
got my bfp on Christmas Day, but had a previous cp in September, so it's taken me this long and 5 positive tests before I've been confident enough to join in...

all being well, this will be dc 1 and due around September 4th, I think.

got a gp appt on Friday and will see what happens after then!

NatalieBee · 04/01/2015 01:31

Here I am once again at 1:30 with serious nausea combined what burger cravings..what?? Lol! I get the feeling this is a sign of things to come and baby keeping me up all night Wink

Maths88 · 04/01/2015 04:29

Just did a cb digi and got pregnant as well as a frer with a darker line so feeling much more confident now! Also no more brown last night so fingers crossed it stays away!!! Sesame are you primary or secondary?

missthebubbles · 04/01/2015 08:05

DS1 has Aspergers, I told him very early with his little bro, born in Feb last year because he had been harassing us for years to have a baby. He was all over the place for the whole pregnancy and wasted a whole year at school because he was so anxious about change, even though he was so excited.
We told him there wasn't a baby in my tummy yet, that I was just pregnant at this stage and that it doesn't always mean a baby was coming. I Thought that would help, little did I know what was going on in his head....
Weeks later "mum, you know that creature?"
"What creature?
"The little creature in your tummy. When will it grow into a baby?"Grin
To this day DS2 is known as the little creature!
This time I'm going to keep my mouth shut for as long as possible.

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 04/01/2015 08:20

hi all, can I join?
Got my BFP yesterday after being a few days late for AF and just took another this morning with fmu. Lines are showing and dark within seconds Smile
I'm worrying now tho of all the Christmas drinking and also had the cold from hell with sinusitis so took a lot of meds Confused
I should be about 5 weeks and due around the 8th September.
I have a dd aged 8 so this will be my 2nd at the age of 33.
only symptoms really are sore boobs (not overly) period type pains and just feeling out of sorts!
I'm so happy

GinFace · 04/01/2015 08:29

Great news maths.

I'm trying to enjoy the last day of the Xmas holidays...depressing.

NatalieBee · 04/01/2015 08:58

That's fab maths! Helps keep your mind at rest!

Welcome rainbow :)

Today is the day my sickness strikes in the morning, knew it was too good to be true! I'm munching and cracker (boke boke) & contemplating who switched my boobs to a couple of painful rocks overnight!
