Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Try not to worry Maths. We're all different. I think symptoms like morning sickness doesn't all kick in till week 7 or later for some. Others don't have any symptoms.
I'm 6 weeks and my only symptom is tiredness!

P.s congrats to all those joining us

Maths88 · 02/01/2015 16:12

Thanks Nutella. I can see this being a very long (hopefully) 40 weeks!

nutelladipper · 02/01/2015 17:25

I found once I'd got the 20 wk scans out the way then it went very quickly as the daily kicking kept me reassured and I was busting shopping/preparing.

Now just to get to 20 wks!!!!

maths like Nutella said, we're all different. I had nothing until 5 weeks with dd2 and that was only a metallic taste in my mouth. Was only sick once or twice with her, and that was it, this time I seem to have it all already!

NatalieBee · 02/01/2015 18:08

Try not to worry maths! Everyone is completely different! My best friend had zero symptoms!

Talking of symptoms I found my first food ad version today, opened my garlic and actually vomited :/ I love garlic too..I was always garlic happy with everything! Ohwell!

ChandlersFarang · 02/01/2015 18:31

Massive congrats to the new BFP joiners!!! Such an ace start to the new year isn't it!! GrinGrin

TinyPawz: I also have PCOS, and a history of failed stimulated cycles, so a massive high five from me for overcoming nature's bastard obstacle and getting pregnant!! Feels absolutely incredible doesn't it!! GrinGrin

GinFace · 02/01/2015 18:32

Natalie I love garlic too...hope I don't have the same reaction. That sucks. I had an aversion to onions with DS. Wondering if it will come back.

LittleSesameSeed · 02/01/2015 19:00

Congrats on all the BFPs! What a fab start to the new year! XGrin

NatalieBee · 02/01/2015 19:08

Gin I've had to remove it from the house I swear I can smell it everywre ?? boke boke!

On the positive side 6days to scan ??

nutelladipper · 02/01/2015 19:31

Ooh I hope I have an aversion to some (many) foods. I became addicted to cheese sandwiches with my son and sugar with my daughter. I broke the scales when I dared stand on them!!!

Xx

Maths88 · 02/01/2015 20:04

Thanks. I know really everyone is different but I am such a control freak normally about everything and this is something that I can't control and I just want to know everything is ok!

I think Im gonna book an early scan for a couple of weeks time. Also here you just choose and contact a midwife yourself - you don't need to go to your go first. Luckily all the websites are also in English so I can have a read through and decide next week.

GinFace · 02/01/2015 20:24

Hi maths...fellow control freak here!

The only way I can really deal with it is by accepting that I have no control, IYSWIM. Apart from the obvious stuff like taking good care of myself blah blah. Early scans are great...and I will confess to having just peed on another Clear Blue digi for reassurance Blush I did one on Xmas eve and it showed 1-2 weeks. The one I did this evening showed 3+. Yay. Just hang in there and the kicks will be coming in no time at all, then you will have a daily reminder that all is well Grin

Is anyone else massively fat already? Probably looking at second or third timers here, but I am seriously whale-like. I'm pissed off because I thought as soon as I came off the booze I'd lose a few pounds, but the bloat is beyond ridiculous. I think my stomach muscles are still ruined from DS.

missthebubbles · 02/01/2015 20:34

Gin, I look pregnant already. My body always does this! Meanwhile, I am trying to keep it a secret from my mother, who we live with...
Last time I nearly punched someone in the face who told me her friend who was due next week was smaller than me and "are you sure you are only six months?". Hormones can't be expected to deal with that level of rudeness Angry

TinyPawz · 02/01/2015 20:52

Thanks Chandler, to say that I am over the moon is an understatement. Afraid to tell anyone in rl yet.

GinFace · 02/01/2015 21:01

Tiny I've just seen your first post - that's an amazing journey you've been on. Congrats. X

Quinandthem · 02/01/2015 21:25

Hi. Joining the September 2015 bus.

I have a 17month dd and had a mmc in September.

Just poas today as was wondering where my period was as I had a negative test in 19th dec (took the test before the work party!) and I was now well overdue.

Obviously excited but had a mc at 8wks before successful pregnancy with dd and then the mmc at 9wks.

Good luck everyone

nutelladipper · 02/01/2015 22:10

Welcome Quin.

Gin - I am huge! So uncomfortable. I just I hope the bloat goes before the bump starts.

Gin, I've got a fair bit of bloat going on here, although I'm not sure how much of it is christmas and new year! Started to get a bit of a general food aversion today, just don't fancy anything really.

I'm excited to see how many are on the September bus! Smile

TinyPawz · 03/01/2015 01:17

Are any of you taking pregnancy vitamins? Which do you recommend? My head is a complete sieve and I cannot remember which I took when pregnant with dd.

ChandlersFarang · 03/01/2015 03:23

Mishmash congrats on your pregnancy but it sounds like you've been through a lot. You might want to speak to a doctor or a counsellor about some relaxation techniques to try to help you grieve with less of an impact on the pregnancy. Good luck. Xx

missthebubbles · 03/01/2015 05:10

Tiny, I'm still just taking the Boots folic acid and vitamin D, trying to get everything else from food.
Mishmash, sending big hugs. I'm really sorry about your sister. I know it varies on your area but I found my midwife team were amazing when I was going through a lot during my last pregnancy. They were kind, gave hugs, knew where to send me for support and also linked me up with the perinatal mental health team who were also great. I felt like they were all on my side and understood what I was going through.
These guys are good too www.cruse.org.uk

Anyone else panicking a bit? By my ovulation date I'm 3 weeks 5 days pregnant. I've never found out this early before and as we fell as a result of a vasectomy reversal, I'm very nervous :( surgeon told us we're at heightened risk of MC due to the sperm not being used for a while etc. DH did take the conception tablets for about 2 months before the op to help mature the sperm etc so I think that's why we fell so quickly (he had the op on December 5th!). I know worrying isn't going to change the outcome but we're so desperate for this baby I can't help think if I get too excited, it'll all be for nothing :( I just keep trying to tell myself that I had convinced myself the op itself wouldn't be successful at all yet here we are...
gin my face is all puffy and my belly looks pregnant already. I had an actual bump by the time I was 10 weeks with dd1 and this is #3 so I'll probably look 6 months by the time I'm 12 weeks :/

Bippidee · 03/01/2015 11:08

Hi all! May I join?

EDD is around 16/9 for DC2, which is a day before DD's 2nd birthday.

My stats are: 37,London, edd 16/9 DC2
