Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Yay!!

NordicDreamer · 14/01/2015 17:31

That's amazing Ag123!!

brickiemum2 · 14/01/2015 17:39

Terry where are you getting your early scan? Nhs or private?

I got a baseline bp don't this morning and it was 142/80 which is ok considering I was only in the room for 3 mins and I suffer from white coat syndrome. It normally takes me 3 attempts and a good few minutes to relax to get my bp down a bit. Had it been repeated I'm sure it would've gone down further.

threeberries · 14/01/2015 17:41

Just heaved while browning the meat for bolognese so we are now having spaghetti ratatouille and poached egg Grin or at least the children are. Think it was my pregnancy nose that made it smell rank but couldn't take the chance. anyone else having trouble with smells?

threeberries · 14/01/2015 17:41

and congrats ag must be a relief

ShootTheMoon · 14/01/2015 17:46

That's great ag! Smile

And brickie that's not so bad - it's such a relief to get a normal reading, isn't it? My readings were 120/73 and 115/78 which I am very happy with.

TerrysNo3 · 14/01/2015 17:47

Fantastic news ag!! and Envy at what must be a lovely flat tummy Smile Wink

brickie my appointment is at my local NHS EPU as my last pregnancy was ectopic so they want to make sure this one is in the right place as otherwise it's very dangerous.

If I don't see a heartbeat next week, which I'm not expecting as I'll only be just 6 weeks then I'll ask for another for the following week and then DH and I are going to Hawaii in the middle of Feb so I might get a private scan just before we go.

DS, who is 6, has just come up to me at softplay and given me the biggest cuddle and I nearly burst into tears of happiness! Grin

threeberries · 14/01/2015 17:51

Envy at hawaii terrys would love to go!

elio · 14/01/2015 17:54

Yey! Looking forward to week 6 now.. Thanks NordicDreamer! Your poor tounge!
It does sound like it all starts to influence you more after this point as really I feel OK. Feel like I have acquired fake breasts and have maxxed out the capacity in my sports bra. Running feels hard, but no worse than before my AF. Quite tired and wanting to sleep lots but this could be because I have to get up in the night to pee. Slight crampy sensations and less interested in food than normal.

Choccyhobnob I am very excited to have a date buddy!

NatalieBee · 14/01/2015 17:57

Yay fab news AG! I read somewhere after my scan that when a heartbeat is seen on scan the risk of miscarriage significantly drops to 5% Grin yay. literally the only thing keeping me sane at the moment! I'm questioning every symptom and any time of the day I feel relatively ok i worry Shock

ag123 · 14/01/2015 18:04

Ha!!
There is certainly no flat tummy here!! I have the most stretch-marked (like seriously probably the worst you've seen!) wobbly size 16/18 tummy!!

DeladionInch · 14/01/2015 18:10

My last pregnancy I had very few symptoms, he's now 2 and a bit and charging round like, well, a 2yo! I think this time I'm struggling more because I can't just sit back or eat when I like, I have to just keep going? I definitely find symptoms are worse when I haven't eaten or drunk properly.

I can't wait to dig out the newborn cloth nappies and claim my stretchy back from the sling library Hmm I also want to go with wool nappy covers this time as they work so well for ds, so roll on 12 weeks and I can get making!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 18:15

I have absolutely nothing except for the baby or me in pregnancy except for pre-natal vitamins. After having a MMC last time I got pregnant, I want to wait until I'm more sure.
This will hopefully be our first DC.

NordicDreamer · 14/01/2015 18:36

Threeberries I've been the same - really squeamish and completely gag worthy around raw meat!

booboobeedoo11 · 14/01/2015 18:45

I'm the same with the meat! I was browning minced beef last night and the smell was making me heave! Didn't actually throw up but felt like I could at any moment...OH had to take over the chef duties! Not really been feeling much other than when I get hungry I feel a little nauseous then after eating getting heartburn.

Counting the days til my scan 12wks...still a long way off 10th March! Booking appointment is 8th Feb.

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 18:50

For me it's alcohol. Can't stand the smell at the moment!

Great news ag :)

spamanderson · 14/01/2015 19:41

Congrats still my DH had a vasectomy reversal in December and I fell pregnant about 2.5 weeks after the op! We'd expected a long wait too! I'm 5+2 due on September 14th!

Dailylurker · 14/01/2015 20:33

Spam - I was sterilised and had a reversal in February 2013 and was pregnant within 2 weeks too, and have an amazing 13 month old and obviously here I am again! It's amazing what they can do now isn't it! xx

Pigriver · 14/01/2015 21:17

Nausea has really kicked in this week. After lunch mainly, feel sick all afternoon. Came home in my PPA time today to go to bed Sad.
Ended up telling the head and my TA (who seemed yo have put 2+2 together anyway!)
6 weeks today and gig my booking in appt on the 30th.
I have a well controlled kidney problem but have been told I need to be monitored throughout in case of any changes. Any idea when they would need to know. It seems a bit early... Do I wait until after booking in?
Also does anyone know if that would make me 'high risk'?

elio · 14/01/2015 21:21

I thought I would put another link to the spreadsheet- its a great idea, but I just spent a long time sifting to try and find it.

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OwR1FNnmbxdnxAUeIfqNG5UOO-VpY-8wbFdaAPJC8BI/edit?usp=sharing

Got my booking app today...on Friday 13th!

NatalieBee · 14/01/2015 21:47

Pigriver, you could probably wait till your booking in appointment or if your worried goto your GP and he can do Bloods for kidney function in the meantime :)

As for being high risk, at my booking in appt she made me fill in a book of everything and then it'll be decided but she told me my severe asthma will already make me high risk!

I am so bloated tonight, my stomach looks..blobby and round Hmm people are just thinking I'm getting fat tho lol!

I seen on one of the other groups they do a facebook group! Would anyone be interested in that? Or know more about what they do with it? :)

Bippidee · 14/01/2015 21:50

I'm on a group on fb for sept 13 babies. It's a private group. It is basically somewhere we can post photos / air concerns without clogging up our own walls and boring childless friends to tears with lots of baby-related posts!

TinyPawz · 14/01/2015 21:58

The facebook thing has been mentioned a few times. Not sure how they work or how to set on up. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly.

Does that mean that you will be consultant led?

ShootTheMoon · 14/01/2015 21:59

I'm on a fb group from my first child - we migrated from here after the births to share photos and stuff, plus it is a secret group, not like this!

I think it's a bit early to move really - plus we will inevitably lose some non-facebookers and all the people who might have joined us here as the months go on.

My vote is maybe later Smile

Dailylurker · 14/01/2015 21:59

Natalie - I'd really like an fb group, I'm on one from November 13 it's a secret group that started here and moved across to fb it's been a life line.

In fact 1 of the girls from the group has been over today and we went out for lunch with the babies as we have all become such good friends and seen each other through alsorts of real life baby dramas! X
