Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Thanks bee I will wait I think.
My kidney function and BP are usually good and within normal levels but I have a lot of protein in my urine. Puts me at risk of high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia but all of the info out there is aimed at people who's condition isn't as well controlled as mine.
Only 2 weeks to wait but it feels like forever!

NatalieBee · 14/01/2015 22:02

Yeah I'm sure somebody will know at some point, I am rubbish at all things technological!

Tinypawz, I think so the asthma combined with my hubby's genetic kidney problems it makes me high risk Shock I hope if my asthma calms down because it will be summer I'll be changed but I think that's wishful thinking lol!

bonzo77 · 14/01/2015 22:07

Agree let's wait in the fb page.

Someone help me out. I've got a new crazy thing to worry about. Funny pains much like pre- ovulation pains. But much milder. More on and off. Mostly off. No cramps. No bleeding. No shoulder pain. Well actually there is but it feels like I've pulled something lifting the kids, or early falling off a horse on Sunday. Good strong BFP today on a cheapy strip. Is this normal or could it be ectopic? I'm going to have to see the Dr aren't i? At least I'll get a scan eh?

Ktdnn83 · 14/01/2015 23:20

I'm 5 weeks this week and before I had cramps and was really bloated .... Now there is nothing .. Not bloated or had cramping pains for a few days now ... Can the symptoms just stop? Or am I being paranoid ? Xx

Ktdnn83 · 15/01/2015 02:46

And also anybody eating so much more ! ? I got up in the night for crisps... Not one pack but two ... I'm gonna be huge !!! X

brickiemum2 · 15/01/2015 07:24

Yeah, I agree it's too early for an fb group. From past forums and groups I've been in its easier for new members to find us here.

NatalieBee · 15/01/2015 08:41

Ktd I'm the same, In the afternoon after my morning sickness has passed I cannot stop eating!

Currently lay on my bed eating dry toast praying the sickness will pass before my late shift today Shock 7+1 today, woo. Just keep reminding myself how much of a good sign it is and won't last forever x

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 15/01/2015 08:44

Feeling a bit down today, hit a total wall of tiredness yesterday and feeling really sick. DS had napped too long at nursery and was being a nightmare to put to bed, thinking it was a hilarious game. So after 25 mins of rapid return he broke me, I properly roared at him and he got such a fright. Anyway we both ended up sobbing but he was comforting me and rubbing my head. Thank god for DH appearing to save the day. Just realised how much this pregnancy will, and already is, impact DS Sad

spamanderson · 15/01/2015 09:46

Feeling distinctly un-pregnant today, apart from the fact I've had to stop myself from bursting into tears at least 5 times :/ no nausea here but my belly is rather bloated. I look pregnant already. Unfortunately my 'craving' seems to have moved on to chips, drenched in vinegar nom nom nom. Managed to maintain my weight this week. I was hoping to lose again this week but I've decided it's just too much stress to worry about what I'm eating etc and stress at this early stage is best avoided. Just going to try and eat healthy but if I need crisps or some chips, I'm blooming well going to have them!

booboobeedoo11 · 15/01/2015 10:00

I normally have a very sweet tooth but its savoury foods I'm really wanting. My rast seems to have deserted me but my sense of smell is on high alert! Also seem to be wanting more fruit than normal. We'll see what tonight brings when I try and cook meat again ??

ShootTheMoon · 15/01/2015 10:14

Savoury food here for me too - I am obsessing about baked potato and cottage cheese (I have never once bought cottage cheese before, but randomly decided I had to have it - around the time of implantation it turns out!)

Please please don't worry about lack of apparent symptoms, honestly. Each body and each pregnancy is different. I was just reading through my antenatal group from DD1 and I got up to 7 weeks with no symptoms apart from weight gain and a hunger. Oh and I had a bit of bleeding at 5 weeks, which I had completely forgotten about - which has reassured me a bit.

Kittykitty05 · 15/01/2015 11:02

Hehe just been into matalan and brought 2 little Xmas outfits, one boy one girl! Well reduced to £1.50, wrong not to!
So that's a start, as our dc are older we have nothing for bubs, except now an outfit for Xmas!!!

DeladionInch · 15/01/2015 11:20

Definitely too early for fb, maybe in time to show off scan pics?

I only know what I've got because lots of it gets loaned out! 5 bamboo fitteds, 12 cotton shaped (must track down my nippas and boosters) and I'll need to make longies because I've been selling ds's to fund bigger sizes. Ds was pretty teeny at 6lb so I've got a load of barely used tiny baby stuff from him, it gets lent out periodically to save people buying clothes that'll only be worn for a few weeks. Hopefully I won't get asked any time soon! That only recently came back from a friend, so I know exactly where it is because I haven't put it away yet lol

Stircrazy1984 · 15/01/2015 11:31

Hi everyone, is it OK if I join? I got my BFP on Tuesday so and 4 1/2 weeks now.

Have been reading through the thread and it has given me confidence that what I've been feeling this week is normal as am a worry wort. Feeling something different every minute it seems like, and the week is dragging as my doc said not to call and see them until I'm 6 weeks. At the moment I dont think it has actually hit me that I'm pregnant (apart from the symptoms) and want that appointment so Itll actually feel real. Probably sounds daft.lol!

Oh Congratulations to everyone here Flowers

My stats are: 30 (31 next week), 1st pregnancy, live in Oxfordshire.

Moon84 · 15/01/2015 11:37

I'm about 6 weeks now and feel like my digestive system is falling apart, I haven't had sickness but constantly bloated/uncomfortable and also have really bad trapped wind and feel an urge to run to the toilet after each meal! (Sorry tmi) Feel a bit pathetic as I've taken 2 days off work as yesterday and this morning it felt like I was coming down with a tummy bug Confused - anyone else had anything similar?

Hi stircrazy, I'm also in Oxfordshire and 30 and expecting my first! :)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/01/2015 11:39

Midwife phoned today - fortunately while I was on my way to my rather isolated form room. We've made a booking in appointment for the morning of the 4th February which isn't a huge amount of time away really in the grand scheme of things. Now I need to apply for the time off. All medical appointments need to be approved by the Head, guess this means that I'll have to tell him...

Stircrazy1984 · 15/01/2015 11:55

Hi Moon, funnily enough mine started like that...I threw up on Boxing day (tmi) and as thought I wasn't pregnant was diagnosed with a stomach infection....but it must have been the pregnancy as without changing my diet or taking pills I was told to its gone away but lasted 2 1/2 weeks. Had I have know it was pregnancy I would have been worried that something was wrong....but would have been concerned for no reason.

Trapped wind sounds like fun :s I am constantly bloated and uncomfortable though especially when I sit down and everything is pressed together a bit more.

Wow, really? Where abouts in the shire? I'm in Grove.

Hi Donna are you in America? I've never heard of having to apply for time for medical apointments in the Uk...you poor thing! You shouldnt be forced to tell your boss sooner than you are comfortable with doing so. Yay for 4th Feb though Smile.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/01/2015 11:59

No, I'm in the UK. The Head has to approve medical appointments (he always says yes I think) and we're meant to get them outside of school time if possible due to cost of cover requirements.
As with all rules it's because people were bending them/lying. We always have to have approval for any type of planned absence. As a teacher (on a free period right now) I can't just use a day's leave. It's not as draconian as it sounds, promise.

booboobeedoo11 · 15/01/2015 12:00

Oh my god...I have a nose like a blood hound at the moment, on the bus home from getting some shopping and I can smell peoples BO and breaths! Haha....I feel sick!

Hi Stir! Great to see you here!

TerrysNo3 · 15/01/2015 12:05

GinFace just wanted to say good luck for your scan today. Smile

Moon84 · 15/01/2015 12:06

Hi stir, I'm in Oxford.
Thanks that makes me feel a bit better- if it was sickness I would feel a bit more reassured as I know that's a common symptom but this seems to be a problem the other end iykwim Blush. Completely off food at the moment (very unlike me), have been meaning to make myself a snack for the last 2 hours while I've been lying down browsing the Internet!

ShootTheMoon · 15/01/2015 12:12

ooh stir and moon, I am in Oxfordshire too - west, in the sticks! But I work nearer to Oxford and I have a dear MN friend in Wallingford so I'm out that way a bit.

May even have enough of us for an Oxon meet up some time!

StillRising · 15/01/2015 12:18

Oh spam so delighted for you! What a shocker it happened so soon!

TerrysNo3 · 15/01/2015 12:32

Can we make it a Oxon/Bucks meet up?? Smile

Moon84 · 15/01/2015 12:38

That would be great shootthemoon and Terrys!
