Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Morning all, gosh so many of us now! Just wanted to reassure that you will have bumps! I was an 18-20 last pregnancy (more like 20 this one Sad ) and had a lovely bump at the end. Best bit is it squishes the wobbly bits to the side so you get a lovely firm belly Smile

Really feeling background nausea today - snacking constantly to keep it down and beginning to dread next few weeks.

spamanderson · 13/01/2015 10:03

Ack, just read my last post :/ please excuse the mass of typos, I'm so tired I feel like I'm drunk :(

sebsmummy1 · 13/01/2015 10:05

Shitting myself this morning. My lovely white discharge that I've had on and off the last 6 weeks has dried yellow in my underwear overnight. Brings back horrible memories of my MC as I can remember I had tan coloured discharge that would occasionally turn into blood and then eventually I miscarried Sad

Treaclepie19 · 13/01/2015 11:09

Sorry to hear that sebs :( Try to tell yourself it's a new pregnancy and new symptoms.
I know it's hard not to think back to miscarrying xxx
I've got myself in a tizz about the flu jab, only being 4+2 should I have it? Some people were talking about it on an a/n board. I hadn't even considered it.

Treaclepie19 · 13/01/2015 12:06

Also, what's everyone doing about vitamins? I'm still on the ttc ones at the moment.
Can't take the pregnacare ones because they're so big so I'm considering just taking folic acid and vitamin d.

sebsmummy1 · 13/01/2015 12:08

I feel as though we are coming out of flu season now so I'm probably not going to have it unless my midwife insists. I need to book in soon as I'm coming up to 7 weeks but I feel pretty sure this pregnancy won't stick so I'm holding back as I don't want to go through the booking in appnt unnecessarily.

nutelladipper · 13/01/2015 12:49

i'm not getting the flu jab.
i'm also just taking folic acid.

Sebs try not to worry. I think yellow discharge isn't abnormal.
xx

Bippidee · 13/01/2015 12:57

I'm going to have the flu jab this time. I'm taking pregnacare original as it was the only stuff they had in my local shop when I needed to buy it - and it was on a 3 for 2 offer.

Oh, and a top tip for the whooping cough jab later on, get some cool patches, deep heat make them. My arm had a lovely hot egg on it for about a week and these were the only thing that relieved it.

Kittykitty05 · 13/01/2015 13:15

brickie I'm also a slightly wobbly size 12, when bloated the other evening my 7yo dd cuddled me and said 'look mummy you've got a baby tummy', kids must not know yet so bagged my way out of that!

I've finally got my reassurance scan booked for Friday, I'll be 7 and half wks.
Nausea turned to sickness this morning and I've just polished off a large tub of houmous so guessing I'm doing okay for hormones! Just dreading work tomorrow, I'm on a short contract doing intervention teaching.

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 13/01/2015 13:32

Sebs, try not to worry. I had a tan coloured discharge around 5/6 weeks with my first that lasted a few days and she is 8 now.
I also had a yellow discharge and a spot of pink on Sunday with this pregnancy but nothing since. Im just hoping and assuming it was all some kind of implantation.
Been looking at booking an early reassurance scan aswell. just to put my mind at rest.
And I agree on the thirst. I just cant seem to quench mine with anything.

Choccyhobnob · 13/01/2015 13:40

Hello can I join? Got my BFP last week so I think I'm due 18th September. It's our first pregnancy and we're both excited and terrified and anxious! Got an early scan booked on 4th Feb when I'll be 8 weeks so just 3 weeks to get through for that.

ShootTheMoon · 13/01/2015 13:45

sebs I think yellow is within the range of normal, so long as it doesn't smell infected or anything. Good luck.

Fatigue really is hitting me - I'm all sleepy at work. I'm taking folic acid (at night so it doesn't make me feel so sick/heartburnish) and vit D, plus vit c and zinc which I was taking to boost my health anyway.

I already had the flu jab (asthma) and in fact had the MMR in Oct because apparently my age group got only one dose of the MR jab. It made me feel incredibly unwell for 3 weeks, so I was reluctant to get the second injection straight away and then didn't want to because of TTC.

In other news, weight creeping on - bugger. I'm healthy BMI normally but pg does not agree with me. I put on a pound a week last time, I think due to the PIH and the massive amount of water I retained.

ShootTheMoon · 13/01/2015 13:45

and welcome choccy

ditzzy · 13/01/2015 13:48

Woohoo I'd better work out how to edit that spreadsheet - just had my booking in appointment confirmed for 5th Feb Grin I'll be 9 weeks by then but the only time she could offer me the week before clashed with a lunch I'm supposed to be at 100 miles away from the surgery... GrinGrinGrin

Feeling quite good today. I've just found out my sister is visiting me arriving on the day I get to 12 weeks too. Talk about perfect timing for a big announcement (fingers crossed obviously) Grin

ditzzy · 13/01/2015 13:50

Haha - I spent a long time writing that... Welcome choccie!

Don't worry shoot, I'm officially healthy BMI normally too but have put on 3 kg ready!! I'm sure most of it must be bloating...

Choccyhobnob · 13/01/2015 13:54

I wish I had a booking in appointment for the spreadsheet but in my area you fill in a form on the hospital website and midwife emails you when you're 8-10 weeks which just seems forever!

I had bad bloating last week and cramps but not so much now, my boobs are tender though and feel fake! I was worried last week that I was getting cramps, now I'm worried I don't have as many symptoms as last week! haha

ShootTheMoon · 13/01/2015 14:24

Sometimes I think pregnancy worries are just the mind's way of preparing for newborn worries - is she weeing and pooping enough, is she sleeping enough, is she too cold, is she too hot, is she uncomfortable in all of those clothes, am I feeding her often enough, does she have colic, is she tracking things with her eyes, did we buy the right bedding, should we be going to classes already, when will she roll, when will she crawl, walk, talk, clap, potty train....

ditzzy I am consoled that I'm not the only one bloating! I am keeping Rennies in business this week with the amount of heartburn tablets I have consumed... expect to be moving on to Gaviscon and then Omeprazole before too long!

Oh and my MW appt won't be until at least 19 Feb - they normally do it at ten weeks here (booking the scan separately) but are seeing me at nine because of previous PIH to check my BP. 5 weeks away!

snooooze.

booboobeedoo11 · 13/01/2015 14:45

Hey Ladies, hope you're all feeling good!
Another pretty symptomless day again for me, unless I count that it's not even 3pm yet and I've been in tears twice already haha. Don't even know why, hormones must be running riot already! Ah well...worse to come I suspect!

NatalieBee · 13/01/2015 15:51

Well just had my booking appointment! Not very exiting mostly history, Bp and urinalysis!

Although she did just goto me 'I can see already you'll be high risk' cheers, as if I don't worry enough Hmm largely due to horrific asthma and hubby's genetic kidney condition. Sometime new to add to the worry list Wink

Decided not to get downs screening, she put it to me as 'if your not going to get the ammio if you get a high risk result there's no point doing the first step to worry right to the end' she made me really consider it so I didn't go for it :)

Hope everyone's ok and trudging along Smile

ShootTheMoon · 13/01/2015 16:10

Glad it went well nataliebee Smile

I guess it depends why you wouldn't have the amnio - if because if wouldn't affect your decision, that's one thing, but if because of the added risk of the procedure, there are non-invasive genetic tests available privately now (like Harmony I think) which will tell you for sure. So may still be worth getting the original screening if you would wonder...

LittleSesameSeed · 13/01/2015 16:10

Welcome choccy!
So far I'm avoiding weight gain and have actually lost a lb or 2 since my BFP! I must eat well this pregnancy as I put on around 4stone last time (including baby) want to avoid that especially as it's my brothers wedding when I'm 8+ months pregnant!!! Don't fancy wearing a black sack!
Been feeling particularly rough these past few days- exhausted, headachy and generally bleurgh!!! I'm putting it down to pregnancy symptoms!
Seb- I wouldn't worry but if you need to put ur mind at rest why don't u contact your epac? They were really good to me back in October x

duckbilled · 13/01/2015 16:11

Today is my busiest of the week at work and I am just dead on my feet, I need a nap! I had the flu jab and whooping cough last time and I don't remember any ill effects other than a sore arm, so will probably go for it again Smile

TinyPawz · 13/01/2015 16:16

Does your dating scan happen at same appointment as booking in? That's the way it works over here and usually happens 12-14 weeks, which is yonks and yonks away.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 13/01/2015 16:49

Not looking good here, despite loads of symptoms (food aversion, insomnia. Swollen abdomen and stretching pains, sore boobs and gagging, I went to the toilet and was some pinky red blood when I wiped.

Now don't know what to do. I was meant to have an early scan next weds when I would have been 6 weeks. I had a spontaneous miscarriage in the past but that was really heaving uncontrollable bleeding. This isn't like that, but I do have some mild cramps so am sadly expecting it to get worse but know there are lots of people who get bleeding and are then ok. Don't know whether to call the midwife or the epau or not?
