Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Llama Grin I fed DD for two years too - may explain why I hate those damn bras so much Grin

brickiemum2 · 12/01/2015 20:26

I fed my youngest until the week before her third birthday but I don't think I had a nursing bra on from when she was about 6 weeks lol. Can't stand the blooming things...all droopy and soft. Determined to find better ones this time.

ShootTheMoon · 12/01/2015 20:28

Brickie I seem to remember switching at some stage to just shoving normal bras out of the way - it's all a blur now!

brickiemum2 · 12/01/2015 20:35

Yip, just hoick them out the top lol.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 12/01/2015 20:37

All this talk of clearly unsupportive bras is getting me down. I'm a G cup now. I haven't used a non-underwired bra since I was 11!Confused

Noble, I don't know, I was an F in my last pg, maybe a bit bigger. But had been in terribly fitting bras forever and now have a much better sense of a supportive bra!

ShootTheMoon · 12/01/2015 20:43

Ha yes! I'm a 32DD/E these days but was wearing 36A/34B before pg Blush

Thank god for the bra interventionists on here Grin

LittleSesameSeed · 12/01/2015 20:44

Thanks for the stats list llama- and for adding me on!
During my last pregnancy I lived in mothercare pregnancy/ maternity bras- not the most flattering but oh so comfy!
Picked up my midwife pack today and handed in antenatal form- think I'm finally allowing myself to believe that this little bean might stick!

Mummyboo30 · 12/01/2015 20:48

Last time I found that my boobs didn't grow much more after the first 3 months or so. (Until the end!)
So I bought some cheap non-underwired ones from mothercare. They were alright, not pretty though. I found my previous underwire bras really got sore after 10-12 weeks or so, so ditched them for a couple of years.
I completely agree about the lack of support though. Maybe it'll have to be a few sizes larger sport bra? Hmm

Treaclepie19 · 12/01/2015 20:49

Is anyone else generally an anxious person? I suffer with a lot of anxiety anyway.
Sort of worried about my high blood pressure and heart rate today as that's how I am most days at work and then at home even resting my pulse is about 104.
Wish I could stop worrying about worrying.

Mummyboo30 · 12/01/2015 20:52

Forgot to say, thanks for doing the list Llama, I cant edit it to add my booking in appt which is a week today! Smile

brickiemum2 · 12/01/2015 20:54

Have you thought about learning a bit of self hypnosis/aromatherapy or something like that treacle ?

ShootTheMoon · 12/01/2015 21:00

Treacle, that must be tough. I'm not anxious exactly but I obsessively overthink and over plan stuff. But I am Meyer-Briggs type INTJ so I am reassured that it's very normal for me Smile.

Have you looked into antenatal yoga, and hypnobirthing? All the meditative breathing is good for the calm.

It probably doesn't help to say that worrying doesn't change anything - worry or no worry, things will tick along at their own pace. And one day you will be cuddling your baby and realise that everything that happened on the way led to you cuddling that exact little soul, and not another.

Whatever gets you through the day Brew

Treaclepie19 · 12/01/2015 21:07

I'll look into it ladies.
I think my job is just so fast paced I get used to dealing with everything as it comes and without stopping to breathe.

Moon84 · 12/01/2015 21:15

Treaclepie19

I know how you feel I'm excited but have been so anxious since I got my bfp last week.

Also can anyone tell me, normally around this (after a big meal) I start to feel very slight cramp type feelings -it's not a pain, more of a slight twinge. At the moment it feels like it's more down my right hand side.. I have just had a bit of an argument with my partner and worried I'm stressing myself out. Does it sound serious or is this normal?

elio · 12/01/2015 21:16

I hope I am not too late to join.. I have tried to learn the acronyms, but not there yet!
I'm 29 and this is my first time. It seems so implausible that it could have worked. My DH and I feel very fortunate to have conceived after two cycles- especially from what I have read on here and from what my friends have been through. Currently 4 1/2 weeks, due date 17th September.

Waiting for a call from the midwife tomorrow. I feel very silly as it is so early and seems like such a small chance of making it. My DH is an anaesthetist so I have heard lots the horrer stories/ read the OBs textbooks.

I hope this doesn't seem like a negative first post! I guess it hasn't really sunk in yet and I am nervous about getting excited just in case. I was convinced it hadn't worked as I felt no different to normal, then when my AF was two days late got a very solid blue line.

Good luck to everyone on the emotional rollercoaster.Smile

Treaclepie19 · 12/01/2015 21:17

Yep ive been having that on my left side moon!

Moon84 · 12/01/2015 21:22

Hi elio, congrats! I'm quite new too and this is my first so I know where you are coming from.
I'm pretty anxious at the moment about everything, hoping that goes soon... Just trying to take one day at a time but sometimes I get a bit carried away and end up reading pages on the Internet for ages! Confused

duckbilled · 12/01/2015 21:26

moon I have been having the exact same thing!

Moon84 · 12/01/2015 21:30

How weird duckbilled and Treaclepie19! Maybe it's normal then at this stage. It doesn't hurt, and I might be making it worse by thinking about it.

Think I'm going to have a herbal tea and try and relax

elio · 12/01/2015 21:41

Thanks moon84 for the welcome! I am trying to stay positive- aside from being sensible, if it works out or not is not under my control! (Easy to say- difficult to do!) I am so excited to be able to use the forum as i 'm not ready to tell any friends yet, just my mum.

For the record it kinda just feels a bit like there is something going on on there and I seem to be thirsty / needing to pee more.
My breasts are also going for it, they normally change a lot in my cycle, but go back to normal when I get AF. Relieved to hear that perhaps this isn't exponential growth. Really interesting to hear what everyone else is going through.

deeplybaffled · 12/01/2015 21:54

My main issue at the moment is bloating - abdomen puffed out like I'd swallowed a volleyball or something, and then went down a bit later, so I know it isn't a ridiculously early bump!
maybe I need to eat some things that speed up digestion and fight off the dreaded pregnancy constipation - any tips??
