Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Ooh, how exciting nutella! I'm sure it feels like forever, but it won't be long really.
Yesterday I started to feel a bit more 'full' in the lower tummy, IYKWIM, but other than the extreme tiredness (really suffering especially when driving Confused ) still don't have much by way of symptoms.
I remember with DD1, that it took a few weeks to kick in, and apparently the boob pain can be less severe second/third etc time round.

GinFace · 09/01/2015 13:21

Hi llama. It's great that your scan went well.

That Google thing sounds fab!

TinyPawz · 09/01/2015 13:40

Ilama if you do do the Google thing, my details are slightly wrong. Dc2 not 8. My dd is 8 so that probably was the confusion.

spamanderson · 09/01/2015 13:42

Yay on getting your scan date nutella :) It'll be here sooner than you think!
Feeling a bit nervous today as I'm not as tired, my boobs don't feel as achey, had no nausea or acid which is unusual. Can't help worrying that I will have an early loss again like before dd2 :(
Drs appointment on Monday for him to 'confirm' I'm pregnant (yup that's how silly it is here) and then allow me to book in with the midwife. Wondering if I say I have no clue how pregnant I am whether they'll give me an early scan.... I'm not 12 weeks until March, I can't wait until then, I'm far too impatient!

ShootTheMoon · 09/01/2015 13:57

Hello spam Smile

I wouldn't worry too much about symptoms, they'll be back plaguing you before you know it! I don't remember having sore boobs at all last time and nothing so far this time either. It was quite a shock dealing with engorgement and rock-boobs during BFing though!Shock

I saw my GP today and had my blood pressure taken - 120/70 so no hypertension for me yet, at least! Last time I had PIH which somehow manifested before 8 weeks and caused a lot of worry. They will book my 12 week scan apparently and it's MW booking in at 10 weeks here so I'll probably be the last to have it!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 09/01/2015 14:06

I saw the midwife today and she was lovely, it's not a problem to have my scans and birth at the hospitals I want rather than their usual one they refer to (I live right by where 3 counties converge). And she has arranged an early scan for me for the 21st Jan, when I think I will be 6 weeks, but their daft wheels reckon I will be over 8 weeks by then, why oh why can't they ever listen if you have longer cycles?! Then assuming all is well I am back to see her on the 29th to properly get booked in. Just hope all is well on the 21st.

Hope the scans today went well.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 09/01/2015 14:16

Well I'm definitely starting to pee a lot and feeling a bit sick so it's all still positive here but has made me remember how rough I felt last time so had a little freak out. I was sick as a dog between 6 and 16+ weeks and struggled through every day just to goto bed by 7pm - HTF am I supposed to do that with a very cling two year old?!?

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 09/01/2015 14:24

Oh sorry my stats are EDD 12/9/15 and this will be DC2.

GinFace · 09/01/2015 14:38

I keep thinking that too, havetea...how are we supposed to get through a pregnancy when we already have tiny people demanding attention ALL DAY Grin

GinFace · 09/01/2015 14:40

Spam don't worry about symptoms. Mine have been exactly the same. Started off very bloated and sore boobs, then nothing for a week, now nausea and delightful tiredness. They'll be back and you'll be cursing them before you know it.

MrsGlitter · 09/01/2015 14:47

I've come down with a bit*h of a cold, it's floored me. Haven't had a sick day in three and a half years but the boss sent me home today, probably because I was sniffling all over the paperwork I was handing him. Eww.
I read this can be common at 5ish weeks (will be 6 weeks on Monday).
Tender boobs too but no nausea yet. When did nausea hit you ladies last time (or this time?).

GinFace · 09/01/2015 14:54

Mine started at 7 weeks with DS and today with this one (6+4).

spamanderson · 09/01/2015 15:31

Thanks shoot and gin I'm really hoping so. It's just odd as I've had symptoms since 6dpo (wondering if I conceived a few days before my dates said I should as 6dpo seems quite early but hey ho!) and then a day without them makes me panic. I am blooming exhausted now it's hit mid afternoon again though, lots of tugging in my tummy and lower back ache. Maybe it's just the nausea and acid taking a break for the day!

brickiemum2 · 09/01/2015 17:16

Hi. Tentatively joining in. Got bfp on the 3rd and reckon I'm due the 15th or thereabouts. Coincidentally spam and I were due a day apart with our last children too and our girls were born one day apart.
I already have a 7 year ds and 5yo dd.
Had a few non sticky beans before so I'm now obsessively knicker checking Blush

nutelladipper · 09/01/2015 17:16

When I turned 6 weeks I noticed feeling queasy on the odd occasion - normally if tired or hungry. I'm 7 weeks today and it's not increased so hoping as long as I sleep & eat lots I'll be ok. Grin

spamanderson · 09/01/2015 17:39

Hi brickie Wondered how long it would take you my fellow obsessive knicker checker! I mean what are the odds we had dds born 1 day apart and now we're due 1 day apart! I didn't realise your ds and my dd1 are both 7 too twilight zone music

my DDDDDH has just been too the chippy (very naughty I know!) and got me chips and cod bites, OMG that's just what I needed, I feel suitably stuffed and ready to fall asleep now :)

Maths88 · 09/01/2015 18:37

Omg so tired! Just come home from work and had a nearly two hour nap!

Tmi but is it normal to be quite wet down there?

So excited for all of you that have had early scans!

GailTheFish · 09/01/2015 18:38

Funny you should say that MrsGlitter, my main symptom do far has been a stinking cold! Have spent the afternoon in bed after lasting until 11 at work before giving up and coming home. Hope you feel better soon! It's annoying not to be able to take any of the usual cold remedies, I would normally be knocked out on night nurse at the point.

Went to the Doctor's on Wednesday - all very straightforward. My main concern was that the pain in my side/hip was somehow an ectopic pregnancy, but she thought it was just ligaments stretching. Seems a bit early for that (I'm only 4 weeks + 4 days) but I guess I shall have to get used to random pains over the next few months!

TinyPawz · 09/01/2015 19:28

Well isn't this interesting. It was correct for DD.

I wonder how accurate it will be this time round.

September 2015 Ante-Natal thread.
GinFace · 09/01/2015 19:54

Spam and Brickie - what an amazing story! How spooky.

It's amazing how utterly different this thread (and I imagine most other antenatal threads) are from the rest of mumsnet. I usually lurk in AIBU / chat etc which can be quite spiky but you lot are just luvverly.

ShootTheMoon · 09/01/2015 20:02

Welcome brickie and ooh, twilight zone esque!

Math yes, softer cervix and wet CM are common symptoms. It only gets worse I'm afraid Grin

ShootTheMoon · 09/01/2015 20:04

gail I have round ligament pain already - mostly if I cough or sneeze, but other times too. I'm hypermobile and this is my second pg, but I'm only 3 weeks!

lovespoon · 09/01/2015 20:13

Hello:-) just joined! Had a positive test today! Had bleeding last weekend and thought my period was coming on early but it then stopped after 2 days.
I've also had period like pains, sore boobs and aching in pubic bone area already (hope it's not the start of spd) although I do have metal work
In my spine and pelvis.

Maths88 · 09/01/2015 20:39

Thanks for the reassurance Shoot. It's just everytime I feel the wetness I assume it's bleeding and rush to the loo!

Welcome to all the new joiners - there's a lot of us now!
