Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

tiny it's right for dd1 & dd2 and says girl again but this one 'feels' like a boy, so we shall see.

Of course gin that's because we're all wonderful ;) he he! I think unfortunately a lot of people have 'balls' online that they don't have in person and some just seem to enjoy making others feel like poop! Sad really!

Yep maths I keep checking myself to make sure it's not blood or something but when you're pregnant you get wetter, squishy cervix etc. Mine never went back to normal after dd1, cervix stays open etc. I swear dc3 is just gonna stroll out of there ??

shoot I've got it quite bad this time, I swear I never had it with the first 2 :(

Ooh congrats love!

TinyPawz · 09/01/2015 21:06

There are always a lot of September babies, festive merriment and all that that entails.

When I had dd I was hospitalised for a lot of weeks August through to end of September, the turn over on the antenatal ward was spectacular. Not great for my morale though, given that all these women were coming in after me and then leaving before me with their bundles.

Pigriver · 09/01/2015 22:24

Hi guys,
Got my BFP on Tuesday but only found this thread today. Took me a while to catch up and I recognise a few names from the January bus.
I am 5 weeks today with my first child. EDD 11/9. Had what seems like period pains since New Year's Eve and now I'm severely constipated Sad. I also had a migraine this morning with aura which was rather disconcerting. Everyone at work is waiting in anticipation for this pregnancy as I got married in the summer. It must have been mentioned about a dozen times this week. It is soooo hard to keep it to myself!

Mummyboo30 · 09/01/2015 22:39

tiny it's right for DD1 as well, and says girl this time too. We shall see...!

Welcome Pig and congrats! :) not telling people is really difficult, a random comment of mine about being tired today led to a discussion about someone going to get their thyroid checked... Hmm

stuffthenonsense · 09/01/2015 23:15

Hi, can I join in please? I got my bfp a couple of weeks ago and I'm due around the 5th September.

NatalieBee · 10/01/2015 02:10

Congratulations to all the new BFP Grin

Has anyone else got horrific skin? I rarely get a spot and all of a sudden I have about 10 Hmm making me feel like absolute crap combined with this nausea and everything else! Where is this pregnancy glow I was promised? Wink

Hope everyone's ok! x

Dailylurker · 10/01/2015 03:05

Tiny - that chart is wrong for me on all of my 3 dc's and it says girl this time... I have no clue, all my pregnancies have been identical whether boy or girl!

I know it's early but will most people be finding out the sex or keeping it as a surprise? xx

Dailylurker · 10/01/2015 03:07

Oh and Natalie... The glow comes in 2nd trimester and lasts about 4 days! Grin

TinyPawz · 10/01/2015 03:55

I'll be finding out. There is no way that I would be able to not know for full nine months. As it is my arse is making buttons trying to work it out, hence finding that calendar earlier.

I think the folks who don't find out have massive amounts of will power.Curiosity drives me nuts

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 10/01/2015 04:14

maths did that constantly with DS1 so trying really hard and failing not to do it again! Between that and the extra peeing I'm barely out the loo Grin

brickiemum2 · 10/01/2015 07:01

The chart is wrong for both my ds and dd lol. I won't be finding out this time. Didn't find out with ds but knew he was a bit for the whole of my pregnancy. Did find out with dd. Would just like a surprise this time.
Wish me luck today hiding it from my parents, there visiting for the weekend which normally involves a lot of wine, esp since its my Dad's birthday Wine I think I'll have to use the "this is a tonic g&t" trick lol.

brickiemum2 · 10/01/2015 07:04

Wow, seems my grammar has left me lol. I knew he was a boy and they're visiting

Dailylurker · 10/01/2015 07:43

This isn't real mumsnet... You're allowed a grammar failure occasionally Grin

I'll be finding out, I did with DS1, didn't with DS2 but was convinced he was a boy (even bought boys clothes!) and I did with DD, which is lucky as I was convinced she was a boy too! I have no idea what this one is, it'll drive me nuts waiting until 20 weeks nevermind 40!!

brickiemum2 · 10/01/2015 08:14

shoot I also had PIH with both my dcs. Came on during labour with ds1, came on at 34 weeks with dd1. Hated hated being on beta blockers, I had every side effect going. Also when dd1 was born they had crossed the placenta and she couldn't maintain her blood sugar. Luckily she took to bf really quickly and my milk came in at 22hrs pp so there was no need for her to go to scbu. Worried this time it will come on earlier. I'm booked for my mw at 8 weeks and then scan st 12 weeks. Haven't seen a doctor or though much about seeing one.. What have you been recommended to do? Are you receiving extra care?

spamanderson · 10/01/2015 08:40

Feeling really low this morning, I'm sure there's something wrong :( no symptoms yesterday or today, ligament pain is gone, boobs and nipples back to normal, no nausea or acid :( we were warned we'd be at higher risk of MC due to DHs op but obviously we hoped it wouldn't be the case. Wondering if I can get the Dr to book an early scan when I go in on Monday to confirm it either way?

If there was ever a time for morning sickness to hit me full only, it's now.

Sorry for yet another miserable post from me, tried speaking to DH and surprise surprise, he's just gone right back to sleep...

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 08:52

Hi all, can i very very cautiously join you?
Got my bfp yesterday. Had a miscarriage at 8+3 in may so I'm really nervous.
Currently only 3+6 s very early days.

Been up quite a while today with cramping which I've been reassured is normal.

Stats are Treacle - 20/9/15 - dc1 (hopefully)

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 08:53

Sorry you're feeling low spam :(
it's definitely worth going to the doctor to put your mind at rest. I'll be going next week.
I haven't got many symptoms. Nausea this morning but that could be from curry last night!

ShootTheMoon · 10/01/2015 09:07

Hello treacle and pig river!

spam it is very early days, symptoms come and go, try not to worry too much, honestly. Symptoms not so bad for me either.

brickie sorry to hear about the PIH - it sucks doesn't it. Mine was atypical because gestational hypertension is supposed to come on after 20 weeks. Mine was there by 8 weeks so they thought it was chronic hypertension. Despite me having been on the pill recently and having regular BP checks for that.

So I went in to get a baseline measurement - 120/73 - so I can prove it was normal in early pg if it does start early again! No extra monitoring unless it does start to creep up, but I have my MW booking in a week early for my area (9 weeks).

If I do get it I may ask to be consultant led. Online it says extra scans monitoring foetal growth from 30 weeks (IUGR is a risk). I didn't have those last time though. Who knows!

Mummyboo30 · 10/01/2015 09:08

Sorry you're having a bad morning so far spam. I go through most mornings feeling like I'm not really pregnant. Definitely see the doc if you are worried, but try not to panic in the meantime. Symptoms come and go for most people.

I'll be finding out, did with DD as we were far too curious. I definitely can't wait until baby is here!

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 10/01/2015 09:09

I feel the same spam. Like its all too good to be true and I'm constantly analysing my symptoms which didnt seem so bad yesterday!
My only symptom still is slightly tender boobs. I'm sure i felt worse with my first at this point but got to keep ourselves positive as we wont be able to change the outcome anyway so let's try and enjoy our pregnancies until we know otherwise (easier said than done i know)

spamanderson · 10/01/2015 09:24

Thanks lovelies :)

I wish I could relax :( I've been waiting for this for like 5 years so I'm extra worried. I can't help feeling that as we conceived so quickly, something is bound to go wrong. I've got a CB digi with the weeks on that I'm going to do tomorrow or Sunday morning. If it comes up with 3+ I'll hopefully be able to relax a bit knowing that I'm where I should be. I never hear of early scans around here so doubt very much they'd do one for me even if I tell them I'm really concerned and as I can't take my anxiety meds, it's really stressing me out which isn't good for me or a baby :(

TerrysNo3 · 10/01/2015 09:43

Morning all! I had a lovely night last night drinking 4 bottles of beer... Ok they were Becks blue but I still enjoyed them Grin

Treacle and pig welcome Grin Grin

For those worried about symptoms, firstly I didn't get any with my previous 2DC until 7 weeks so it doesn't mean anything is wrong. Secondly it's corny but true that what will be will be, I've been pregnant 5 times now and regardless of my worrying / lifestyle changes, my body has done exactly what it wants. It's a hard situation to accept when you've been TTC for a much loved baby but just try to remember that.

ag123 · 10/01/2015 09:52

Spam I am very sorry you are feeling low but actually so glad that you wrote that post because I am feeling EXACTLY the same.

When I first got bfp I majorly panicked that I had no symptoms. Then, after a week they started to come and I had the food aversion and very 'different' feeling boobs.

Then on Thursday night I woke with some very strong cramping which stopped after about 10 seconds. Ever since though I feel like my symptoms have gone away again. I was up for an hour at 3am worrying about it, pacing round upstairs and squeezing my boobs and deciding that they're not even sore any more.

Aaaarrgh!!

I've had no bleeding whatsoever which should comfort me but doesn't and I wish I could be more philosophical and say 'what will be will be' but this is such good timing for me and like I and others have said it just all seems too good to be try :-(

Anyway, I have googled early scans and have booked one for Wednesday. (In a Mothercare would you believe...hope it will be good quality)

Anyway, I'm sorry that other are feeling this way too but it is such a relief knowing we're feeling similar.

spamanderson · 10/01/2015 10:16

thanks ag and terry this is my 4th pregnancy (early loss on the 2nd pregnancy). Yes I know my worrying about it isn't going to change the outcome but it doesn't stop the feeling on anxiety about it. I had symptoms with my previous pregnancies, nausea, acid etc but not until I was about 5 weeks, yet I've had the symptoms since 6dpo with this one, then them disappearing worries me :( I worry up to the first scan or when I get a bump appear or start feeling baby... But I don't remember worrying so much with dd1 & dd2 :( the sooner March/12 weeks gets here, the better!

spamanderson · 10/01/2015 10:19

Sorry meant to add, same here ag, my boobs were itchy last night and still itchy today, had lots of the ligament pain yesterday but nothing today :( no acid or nausea for 2 days, boobs aren't sore today either but like you, I've had no bleeding or bad pain either. But then I had nothing other than a pregnancy test going negative when I lost on my 2nd pregnancy so I'm convinced this is going the same way :(
Ooh where did you find that at Mothercare? I got bugger all come up when I googked other than places who won't do anything until 7 weeks :(
