Viperama · 22/12/2014 17:51

Omg Memphis you're on fire! Can I send a taxi for you to do the same at mine?

Memphisbelly · 22/12/2014 17:59

Frenetic fingers crossed a rest will sort you both out and you aren't getting ill.

Viper maybe if I fell pg when we moved in that wouldnt have been a wasted cupboard in my kitchen for 3 years Grin I have one more to clear out and want to start mince pies

GeekyHybrid · 22/12/2014 18:01

Keep getting better blank, you kick the pneumonia and little one will be fine! Glad it's improving.
Frenetic your colleagues have once again shown what tossers they are. Best they're a former part of your life. Onwards and upwards Thanks
Had initial health visitor appointment today. She seemed very nice and hopefully doesn't think I'm too nuts Grin So jealous of those of you who've finished work. Cos of Christmas I won't really get chance to stop / relax / get organised until new year. Looking forward to putting my feet up for a few days before getting the nursery decorated. Raking and picking up leaves just seems pointless activity, but only 1.5 days left Grin

donkir · 22/12/2014 19:47

Blank fingers crossed for you and little bean.
Frenetic my OH has had the nasty cold virus that's going around since Saturday. I'm dosing him up on lemsip and nurofen praying I don't get it and it's gone by Christmas Day.

Memphisbelly · 22/12/2014 19:54

24 mince pies made and 2 trifles started....kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off in there but I have an 8pm vip slot for next sale to be online for!

Grinningcat · 22/12/2014 20:30

Oh blank, sorry to hear you are ill, but glad you have turned a corner and that LO can stay put for a while longer.

Sadly we have just heard that my DAunt has passed away over the weekend. She lives alone (DUncle died 12 years ago and they had no children) and my other Aunt had to get the police in today to break in. It looks like she passed away peacefully in her favourite chair, but still such a shame. My DBro is going up tomorrow to help start to sort stuff out. Normally this is something I'd jump into help with all the practicalities, but I guess I can't this time round except from the end of a phone.

Memphisbelly · 22/12/2014 20:55

Oh grinning so sorry to hear that Sad as you say its a comfort she passed peacefully Thanks

GeekyHybrid · 22/12/2014 21:10

Condolences grinning and family. Being there for people is just as important as running around, and at the moment we just can't do it as frustrating as that is. Thanks

freneticfox · 22/12/2014 21:14

Sorry to hear that, grinning :(

Feeling a difference in movement the last few days, less 'kicky' and more like I have a writhing child in there! Such a weird sensation, serves as a reminder of how far I've come. Appointment at my new hospital tomorrow, feeling optimistic about it so far :)

Memphisbelly · 22/12/2014 21:17

Frenetic it is odd isn't it, like a shifting or trying to stretch to move rather than doing the riverdanceGrin keep us informed on what the hospital say, optimistic is good.

purpleteapig · 22/12/2014 22:29

Glad you're on the mend blank - great that baby blank can stay in a bit longer.
Sorry to hear about your aunt grinning.
My first day off today - still feels weird that I'm done with work for a year! I'm aiming to make a gingerbread house tomorrow, so if anyone has an idiot-proof recipe, please do share. The one I have is classed as 'relatively easy' but when I looked at it, I was thinking how the hell will this thing stand up?!?

JacktheLab · 23/12/2014 07:42

Purple, it's the setting of the icing which will make it stay together :)

Grinningcat · 23/12/2014 09:24

Thanks everyone. She normally goes to my Dad's over Christmas so it will be strange visiting without her there.

31 week MW app this afternoon so working from home today. All motivation to get work done this morning has completely gone out the window. I'd much rather sit on the sofa and eat chocolate, but I need to at least get the monthly report done!

BanglesSpangles · 23/12/2014 09:50

sorry to hear about your aunt, grinning Flowers

Last day in the office here- I'm tidying out desk drawers and stuff, just in case I end up not coming back after christmas (am meant to be in until the end of January, but well, you never know, right!)

Sorry to hear about your aunt Grinning.

Last day at work until the new year for me. We've made some lovely hand Santa cards for the boy's parents. Pretty good considering my lack of sleep due to oh being poorly. I ended up on the sofa at 3am. Yawn!

Grinningcat · 23/12/2014 10:34

That's what I'm planning on doing tomorrow morning when I'm back in the office Bangles (only a half day though).

Gosh doing this monthly report is like pulling teeth.

I must admit there is definitely something about being pregnant with another addition to the next generation that makes a death in the family more bearable.

LancashireTea · 23/12/2014 10:35

Just catching up. Sorry about your aunt Grinning. And blank fingers X'd for your little Bean right now.

Travelled up north yesterday for Christmas. Horrible journey. Metformin made me feel like crap; had to ask for a seat on train 1 and in train 2 some scrotum puked all over the toilets after getting pissed with his rowdy family. In the quiet coach. Minging.
And then I had to put up with my nana in the car from the station and her dodgy Nigel Farage loving claptrap. Cue a very grumpy me.

JacktheLab · 23/12/2014 11:48

Grinning, my husband has reminded me that my c section date is the anniversary of his grandmother's death, my son was conceived two days after she died, so there is some funny concidences going on there! Makes him feel a bit happier about that date, so not a bad thing at all I think.

I've been doing the wrapping whilst DS is at nursery, almost got the lot done, just have to get a frame for a handmade gift for my Dad and then figure out what on earth I am going to get my DH, I think I might get him to go out and buy something for himself tomorrow when we take DS out to buy presents for us all, I think he's leaning towards just buying everyone toys that he likes Wink

hanflan · 23/12/2014 13:48

Morning all! Or afternoon? Goodness where is the day going? Anyway, had the growth scan this morning and confirmed huge baby. Measuring at 36 weeks at the moment and baby has lots of hair! If she carries on to full term then she could be nearly 10lbs, AHHHH! Pray for my poor fanjo!
Waiting to hear from midwife as to whether to wants me to see a consultant or night. Sonographer didn't seem phased so they might just leave me to it!

Sorry to hear about your Aunt, grinning Flowers

hanflan · 23/12/2014 13:49

*or not. Not "or night" haha

hanflan · 23/12/2014 13:59

Here is my "36 weeker" at 5lbs, 5oz. At 32 weeks Shock

Viperama · 23/12/2014 15:08

Lancashire I start metphormin tonight with my evening meal (my bloods go whacky overnight). Warned it'll make me feel I'll for a week.
How long have you been taking it?
I'm in boots at the moment waiting for doctors prescription to cone through, some muggins at my GP prescribed ketone test strips rather than glucose which I only discovered this morning on opening new box so I now have to wait god knows how long.
Annoying!

Viperama · 23/12/2014 15:13

Sorry for your loss Grinning

Han 9-11 lb is average in my family! start your perineal massage now.

Mw confirmed today baby is down and head is engaged! Lock and load baby duck :-D

Grinningcat · 23/12/2014 15:17

Wow Han all I can say is good luck! My SIL had a 10lb baby so I'm hoping our LO takes after me.

Just came back from our 31 week mw app. All is well. Baby is breech, but I guess that doesn't mean too much just yet. Midwife was laughing as she had to chase him/her around to try and get a good reading on the heartbeat Grin.

Honeybird · 23/12/2014 15:25

Hanflan I will be waiting eagerly to see how accurate the prediction on weight is. From what I hear they can be wildly inaccurate, if I were you I'd just be confident the baby isn't really underweight... But you certainly don't sound panicked. I will keep my fingers crossed for your fanjo.

Never said that to anybody before.
