We were getting perilously close to being full up, hope no one minds!

My lung capacity is a joke. There is a big old hill at exit of my tube stop and I now huff and puff like I'm on 40 a day. I see people looking askance before they clock my badge.

Musicians/ valiant exercisers - I reckon it's a listen to your body thing isn't it. You'll know if you're over-exerting yourselves. I did a tube sprint yesterday after my preg exercise class and probably shouldn't have but I had no intention of waiting 10 mins in the cold for the next one (shitty old district line).

Rustyzilla · 10/12/2014 16:21

Still to read through and catch up properly but oneday so sorry for your bad year and your mum's partner, hope he makes a full recovery in time.

smogs I reckon Topshop will do an exchange for you. I have those jeans and mine are fine a good few wears in!

Feel a fraud as my sickness is not morning sickness, I was lucky and never suffered badly with that. No, I have a bug or food poisoning! All I can eat and keep down are very thin ginger biscuits! Thankfully we bought a huge tin for Xmas which I have opened in desperation!

Lauren82000 · 10/12/2014 16:56

Hope your mums partner has a speedy recovery OneDay. It might take him a while but at least you didn't lose him. Look for the silver linings and all that Smile

Feel very sorry for all of you that are under the weather. I'm surprisingly doing alright. DH on the other hand now has ear nose and throat after last weeks 3day virus. It's normally me that picks up everything and anything. It makes a refreshing change to actually be the ok one for once. I'm convinced pregnancy actually boosted my immune system as it's normally pretty rubbish (long term effects of chemo)
I've had the odd day where I've felt a bit rubbish and very tired and I woke up on Monday with a slight sore throat but one mug of hot vimto sent it packing. So can't complain at all, I think I mainly feel rubbish if I've done too much the day before. We had a really busy weekend so didn't get a break. But going to bed last night at 7.30 with DD certainly did the trick even if I did wake up at 12 feeling very awake, I did manage to get back to sleep and woke bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6.30.

You've got me thinking now about giving DH ideas for my present. I've got my eye on a sling... Never occurred to me to tell him to buy me one. HahaBlush

cinnamongreyhound · 10/12/2014 17:44

I read hot mug of vomit Lauren82000!!! Xmas Blush made me laugh after I stopped being grossed out and read it again!

Lauren82000 · 10/12/2014 18:31

Haha no that would be horrible. Wink
DD is currently warming me up after I just got home. She fell asleep on daddy and he just handed her over so I get a cuddle. She was asking for me before she conked out. Easy bed for me! Yay Smile

Hidingthefear · 10/12/2014 20:11

cinamon I vomit every mornino Nd then usually nauseous in afternoon and some evenings and sometimes I vomit before bed but that's not as common these days. I asked the midwife about sickness but she just said some people are unlucky and the pregnacare tablets can make u feel sick so i stopped taking the but still sick.
Interested to know how you've been kismac the impression I got was that I just had to suck it up and deal with being sick.
I haven't seen my doctor about the iron or b12, I feel a bit daft making an appointment because when I say I'm tired and sick they'll just tell me it's coz I'm pregnant and that my iron level is fine :/

Lauren82000 · 10/12/2014 20:18

You know I wonder about my iron levels. It was fine when they checked it what 10weeks ago. But I've since been getting dizzy days and I'm really tired. I know they are both pregnancy symptoms but dizziness even after eating isn't blood sugar related is it? Least next mw appointment will have more bloods if I remember rightly. Only 3 more weeks, which incidentally brings me to viability time Smile yay. Still don't get why I'm being seen at 24weeks when this is my second baby but I'm not complaining. (Just confused, hope she doesn't turn me away when she realises. Bit of a battle axe my mw)

kismac · 10/12/2014 20:52

Hiding, I've got hypermesis which is severe morning sickness. I've been vomiting since week 3. At the worst point I wasn't eating, drinking or able to pee and was sleeping up to 18 hours. I only started eating properly again at 19 weeks.

cinnamongreyhound · 10/12/2014 21:19

My next bloods are done to be ready for my antiD at 28weeks Lauren82000, 14th jan :)

Anyone know where to get cheap non-disposable, over-the-bump maternity knickers? I'm starting to really hate having a waistband under or across my bump. I've just looked at Tesco online and theirs are £10 EACH! I've never paid £10 for a pair of knickers in my life, let alone a pair that will only fit me for a few more months. Must be some cheap ones out there somewhere?

daholster · 11/12/2014 07:04

Morning all, I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts. Lovely scan pic lady! kismac lack of research doesn't mean unsafe, and if there are guidelines saying not in 3rd trimester there must be a fair amount of info supporting this... And therefore some supporting that 2nd is ok. Nutritionist important for your growing bean. cinnamon I'm so impressed that you are still running. If I bothered to pick up my musical instrument it would be a violin so hopefully no issues with that... Except maybe back ache!

Feeling very guilty since I have called in sick today. It's my fourth day off this pregnancy which equates to a week and a half part time. My other colleagues are never off sick Blush But I'm on supposed to be on duty (in charge and sorting emergencies) today and safety is paramount. I decided if I am constantly thinking about my painful face/neck/head/eye despite the fact that the rest of my body is just a bit tired but not otherwise poorly, then I am not safe to work. In my job being on top of your game is paramount for safety (I'd rather not share what it is in case I'm identified... Though maybe you can have fun guessing!!!) so I think it's the most sensible option, even though things feel slightly better today.

Yesterday I did paracetamol all day. The first dose was amazing. The second not as good. The third didn't do anything Sad Apparently I can have a bit of codeine but I don't want to make him snoozy... And the dental pain is improved today so I'm just going to see how it goes with my new Sterimar spray (thank you for that suggestion!) and lots of hot steamy drinks.

I wish someone at work would get back to me. I feel sooooo guilty... Cos apart from a bit worn out in the body and tired, aside from the pain and stuffiness I don't feel that ill!!!

22+2

daholster · 11/12/2014 07:06

Keep telling myself I can't afford to make mistakes, knowing that I am not at my best and safer not at work. Still feel bad!!!!

Hidingthefear · 11/12/2014 07:36

Oh no kismac that's awful. I'm just being soft then and will have to ride it out a while longer. I hope people are a bit more sympathetic towards you, people don't seam to realise it's a medical condition. I would have though that since Kate Middleton was in hospital with it it would have been good publicity but even with the much milder sickness I get I have people say things like 'oo think your like royalty now do you being sick like kate' my dad (the sensitive sole that he is) said it's only morning sickness, it's not like you have ebola get on with it :(

I had a quickGoogle catsofa and there were some on mother are website a little cheaper. Sorry I don't know how to make it a link on my tablet. There was a w pack for £8 which is a little cheaper.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/12/2014 08:31

People I know have slagged off Kate big style, we normal people can't just laying around feeling sick we have to get on with it etc! I only know one person who's had hg and they were hospitalised.

Sounds like a good call daholster!

BrereRabbit · 11/12/2014 08:41

Is it way too late to join this? I'm due at the end of April. Is anybody else in Cheshire?

daholster · 11/12/2014 08:43

Thanks cinnamon that makes me feel better... Typically the pain is much better at the moment but both cheeks and ears... I could also do with a sleep...

Do we think a walk after my nap would help or hinder the face?

daholster · 11/12/2014 08:45

Brere no of course not! Welcome! Hampshire here I'm afraid. Love the name!

TinyTear · 11/12/2014 08:49

welcome, never late to join...

I'm in London

daholster · 11/12/2014 08:54

My little lad has hiccups I think... Grin And I have Braxton Hicks redoubled today!!! Shock

BananaToast · 11/12/2014 08:59

Not too late at all Brere.

daholster mine has been having hiccups at least daily for a week now! They're not strong enough to feel properly so I only notice when I'm watching my tummy for movement and see it rhythmically jerking up and down. Love it though, makes it feel like there's a proper baby in there.

Hidingthefear · 11/12/2014 09:09

Welcome brere :)
I'm a little closer but Lancashire I'm afraid.

ChickenMe · 11/12/2014 09:14

catsofa Asda has maternity knickers and I think Wilkinson has them too. I ended up buying big granny pants from Asda in larger sizes. I bought size 18s for the end! I hope it's big enough.

daholster · 11/12/2014 09:16

It is nice. It feels like he's kicking me in the cervix/bum...

Asked dd (19 months) today what we should call her little brother. She, of course, repeated "little bruvver". So... The conversation continued like this:

Me: Shall we call him Monty?
Dd: No.
Me: What about Jack?
Dd: Jack.
Me: What about Rory?
Dd: Warwy!!!
Me: I quite like Monty...
Dd: Warwy...
Me (grinning): You think Rory then...
Dd: Warwy... Warwy JACK!!!

Well, I imagine that will be that, since that is daddy's favourite choice too!!! My little Monty Heath might have to go on the back burner... I don't need much of an excuse to have more after my next op if all goes to plan So our little boy bump is probably a Rory Jack! Perhaps not the most original name these days, but lovely I think. Nice to know dd approves!

(Monty Heath will still be on the list in case he looks just like one... As will Jamie Jack!)

Wineandchoccy · 11/12/2014 09:18

Welcome Brere I'm Lancashire as well.

Catsofa I bought some massive granny pants from Morrisons nutmeg range they are truly hideous but so comfy, they were in a pack of 5 and I think they were £6.
