Sorry burchwoodi mixed you up! It was luciferbox who said not getting a mw appt til 10 weeks and it seeming like a long time.

Sorry! Haven't quite got everyone's names yet Blush

daisysunshine2 · 04/12/2014 20:23

I really don't know what to do about an early scan! Christmas is just at the wrong time! Spoke to DH this evening, I'll be 7 weeks on 21st and there's a scan appointment available so I wanted to book it so we can tell family at Christmas but DH is worried that if it doesn't show a healthy pregnancy it will completly ruin Christmas and he thinks we should wait till after but then it means not telling my family to their face (his live up the road so can tell them anytime) also I think my family will guess with staying over Christmas but with my mc in September I don't want them getting excited and then we go for a scan that isn't good :( I know I'm being very negative but I just can't help but worry :(

StuffedOwl · 04/12/2014 20:50

I'm also in two minds about an early scan. I had a mc earlier this year, my baby stopped growing at 6 weeks but I didn't start bleeding till 11, so want some reassurance. Daisy my feelings are exactly the same - I know that a scan changes nothing or I might not see anything so early. But a scan before Christmas means I could tell my family and show them picture, but then Christmas would be ruined if it was bad news again, so maybe it's better to be not aware (and save myself the money).

Shantotto with my previous pregnancy this year I had a dentist app before I had seen my midwife, I told the dentist I was pregnant (they need to know so they can check your mouth as gums tend to go soft in pregnancy and bleed more) but he assured me I wouldn't have to pay, despite having no proof. He said it would all be sorted, I guess they check up on it later.

whitwoochantelle · 04/12/2014 20:58

Without sounding horrid I'm glad it's not just me going off my rocker. Owl it's as tHough you told my story of mc horrid

iamhopeful · 04/12/2014 20:59

Lots of early scans, i have an app with the Dr on Wednesday but that seems an age away, am hoping secretly that i might be able to see the midwife before christmas but as I will only be 7 weeks on the 22nd I think i will have to wait. I keep worrying something is wrong, paranoid about bleeding. Today I am just exhausted but partly because dd had me up all last night.

xBlueberry88x · 04/12/2014 21:33

Im telling my close family on Christmas but everyone else im waiting until 12 week scan

It doesn't look like their is a private scan place where I live so I have no choice but to wait.

I haven't really had many symptoms mainly cramps and tonight im mega windy and bloated.

clairexxx · 04/12/2014 21:43

Hi everyone. I saw my doctor today and I'm waiting for an appointment to have a scan. The doctor thinks I'm either 4.5 weeks pregnant or 8.5 weeks. I didn't realise you could have a light bleed for 3 days and still be pregnant! No idea how long I'll have to wait now. She just said I would recieve a letter. Is everyone else taking folic acid supplements? Sorry if it's a silly question!

xBlueberry88x · 04/12/2014 21:53

Hi claire ive been taking folic acid since starting to ttc I just by tesco own

clairexxx · 04/12/2014 22:00

Thanks Blueberry :)

Brummiegirl15 · 05/12/2014 07:34

Ooh lots of newbies!! We are foiling up!

Bethany I'm having an early scan from the hospital because I've had 2 miscarriages this year and don't have any children yet. Because of those reasons I can have a hospital scan and don't need to pay for it.

Went to a client do last night, Christ they are hard work without booze!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing ok. Those still testing, step away from the tests!!! Absolutely no good can come of retesting just stress

Brummiegirl15 · 05/12/2014 07:34

That should read filling up!!!

casiopeia · 05/12/2014 08:08

Morning girls, just an update on my spotting, it never turned red, but after a week last night strong-ish cramps appeared too for about an hour (proper period-like cramps), and this morning the line on the Frer is ever so faint, I can hardly see it, I feel by tomorrow it will be gone :(

I spoke to local EPU, they were ever so nice, but nothing can be done this early on (I am 5+0 today), and there is no point going in unless I am in physical pain, which I am not

I have only known for a week but after 8 months of wait for BFP we were so excited!
Am heartbroken.

Sorry to put a dampener on this thread, nodoby apart from DH knows so there are not many people I can share the incredibly sad news with Sad

mzzzf · 05/12/2014 08:38

Oh casio you must be in bits! I really feel for you. I can't offer any advice as I've not been in your situation but just to say that I'm sorry it looks like it's going the way of an early CP. Really, incredibly sorry for your loss. But I'm also crossing my fingers so tightly in the hope that the little bean hangs on in there x

AliOh · 05/12/2014 08:57

So sorry casio, what a horrendous time for you. Also crossing my fingers that this is just a blip and little bean stays sticky Flowers

gakay · 05/12/2014 09:23

I'm so sorry casio I wonder if it would still be worthwhile to arrange a scan soon to confirm if it is really mc and if so whether it's complete or not.

Have noticed a bit of pink when I wiped last night and this morning. Also had a bit of dull ache in my lower abs. Now am really worried. Had to call my OH to come home early from his work xmas do last night. Keep checking if boobs are still sore and can't really tell for sure anymore.

ruby242 · 05/12/2014 09:34

Hello all, can I join this thread? Ive just gotten a positive pregnancy test at 10 or 11 DPO so really just did the test for fun so was absolutely shocked when it turned up positive!! My husband is at work and I'm working until late tonight so might have to wait to tell him tomorrow morning, just thinking up ideas so surprise him? Thinking maybe of giving im a 'merry Christmas daddy' card with the test inside and say it came in the post? Anyone else have any exciting ways of telling your partner?

So far only symptom for me is sore boobs and very mild cramping (so mild I wasn't sure if I was imagining it or not!)

Sorry to hear about you ladies struggling, I really hope it isn't a mc. I had a tiny spot of brown when I wiped last night but I read it can be normal to spot occasionally so hopefully all good for you ladies too x

xBlueberry88x · 05/12/2014 10:05

So sorry casio I cant imagine what you are feeling hugs x

Welcome Ruby and congrats! I couldnt wait to tell my dp so no surprises 20 months of trying I was shaking lol

clairexxx · 05/12/2014 10:16

So sorry Casio. Keeping fingers crossed for you xx

Hi Ruby, congratilations. My husband had to put up with me asking him if he could see a line for days. He was trying not to get his hopes up and was playing it rather cool, listening to me talk non stop about it. He asked me not to take any more tests until I was late, so the day AF was due I took a digital test without him knowing. I practically ran out of the bathroom to show him it said pregnant and he was so happy he cried! (He never cries!).

Blueberry, I've started to take folic acid tablets today. Thanks for the advice. Hope all is well with you

ruby242 · 05/12/2014 10:18

Thanks blueberry, I was shaking too!! Gosh 20 months for you, congrats! I was lucky that this is my 3rd cycle, I was thinking I was in for the long haul! I normally wouldn't wait to tell him but I really don't want to tell him on the phone when hes at work! I have told my best friend though, I had to tell someone!!

AliOh · 05/12/2014 10:20

gakay do you know roughly how far along you are (sorry if you've said previously. With DS I had implantation bleeding on th day AF was due so could be that?

AliOh · 05/12/2014 10:22

Hi ruby congrats! I think that's a lovely idea with the card Smile I had to tell my OH over the phone as he works away so would have to of waited two weeks to tell him in person!

casiopeia · 05/12/2014 10:25

Thank you ladies,

gakay having spoken to the EPU lady on the phone, it seems they cannot do much. They will not do a scan as it is too early to see anything apparently, they can do bloods- 2 within 48 hours to see if the pregnancy hotmone is increasing or decreasing- but I suppose I have answer to that from the frers I did. And as long as I am feeling physically fine I dont need to see anyone- which makes me feel quite helpless to be honest, I feel as if it Ll has been a dream, but havr lots of tests to show it is/was real

mzzzf yes, chemical pregnancy as it is too early to call it miscarriage

Thank you all for very kind words, made me feel better and less lonely un my sadness

Shantotto · 05/12/2014 10:31

Oh Casio so sorry to hear that - hope everything turns out ok. Flowers

I'm a wreck - I've been having very very mild cramps lower back and stomach, was pretty nauseous yesterday. This morning I felt nothing at all and wondered if the wee thing had disappeared over night! I keep telling myself mild cramping is normal, I'm not spotting. Do feel a bit light headed. I don't know how to make myself calm down! I'm anxious anyway and now it's so much worse. Poor DP will be insane if this carries on for 9 months.

whitwoochantelle · 05/12/2014 10:32

I've been reffered to midwives this morning by doctor and offred early scan to try and ease my nerves!

whitwoochantelle · 05/12/2014 10:37

I asked about cramping and twitching apparently it's normal to feel like your having a period and sometimes spot nit eased my nerves rhough
