Is anyone else finding like they can't be bothered today. I'm lacking any motivation whatsoever.

I'm also peeing a lot!

Shantotto · 05/12/2014 13:11

Oh me too! Strolled into work at 10am (thank you flexi time) to find the office needs to close at 4! Hurray!

Time to do some browsing silver cross prams in John Lewis Christmas shopping!

nannynome · 05/12/2014 13:56

So sorry to everyone going through uncertainty or mc Flowers

I am sitting in work finding it hard to focus today too. Lost my enthusiasm completely! I have managed to speak to the area midwife co-ordinator who has given me the mobile numbers for 2 midwives to speak to on Monday to try and sort out moving my appointment to this side of Christmas. Am just concerned that 10 weeks is a bit late considering the rhesus neg and probable gestational diabetes for the 2nd time round, plus I will need a physio referral for the inevitable SPD Sad

I really need to stop staring into space randomly and focus!

mrsb0710 · 05/12/2014 14:43

Nausea, sore boobs, still light cramping sometimes. All 'normal' apparently, but still feels weird!!
Have an early scan booked for the 18th, I'll be about 7 weeks. Do they do this internally or externally?? Just not sure whether I need to drink a whole bunch of water or not?

Shantotto · 05/12/2014 15:09

Maybe check with the clinic, I'll only be 6+6 so will drink a load of water an hour before but except them to have to do an internal scan too.

From what I've read they are harmless and painless. Good luck!

StuffedOwl · 05/12/2014 15:19

I would go with full bladder, the clinic will have a toilet, and would tell you to go and use it if they need to do it internally.

I had a letter through work today saying that they are not renewing my contract after my maternity leave finishes so I'll be on permanent mummy leave now Grin

Flowers for everyone who is worrying. I really hate this first bit.

mrsb0710 · 05/12/2014 18:36

Never realised how anxious the wait is, but just breathe and stay calm. FX for sticky beans xx

iamhopeful · 05/12/2014 20:35

Well I caved and used the last test I had, still positive which is a huge relief, not really had any symptoms today apart from being very emotional, cried a lot tonight. Might have to crack open the bar of chocolate in the fridge. AliOh, are you happy with the letter? After my week at work I am wondering whether that is a preferable option.

AliOh · 05/12/2014 20:41

Yes kind of happy-ish. Could of done with the 5/6 months smp but im not even sure I would of got it if my contract had gotten renewed and I should be able to claim maternity allowance from around april. I really lost interest in my job when I fell pregnant with DS and just started to hate it so I was going to look for another job anyway. My OH is due to get laid off soon as well so it will be all fun and games but im sure we will manage!

whitwoochantelle · 05/12/2014 21:18

I've not 're test on a "good“ test I darnt I've not even thought of maternity at the min there's 3 who will be on maternity in my office if/when I get that far x

User24689 · 05/12/2014 23:14

Mrsb, I'm having a dating scan on the 12th, I'll be 7 weeks exactly. My appts at 3.15 and the lady on phone said to drink 1.5 litres of water between 1.45 and 2.15. They will do external first but if can't see enough will do internal and you can empty your bladder after the external part. Hope that helps!! I'm quite nervous... Can't help worrying there will be nothing in there after all!! Also I have a really crap bladder so holding it for that long will be really hard!

casiopeia · 06/12/2014 08:26

toriB I have actually spent most of yesterday at EPU because of sudden pains and heavy bleeding and unfortunately I am not pregnant any more

I am off back to Conception forums and hoping with me goes the bad luck portion for this thread and you all have lovely, happy, healthy and stress-free 9 months Cake xx

Shantotto · 06/12/2014 08:37

Good luck Casio! I'm cheering you on! Flowers

daisysunshine2 · 06/12/2014 09:11

So sorry casio hope you're back on an antenatal thread soon! Flowers

upthewolves my DH and I are in a big discussion argument at the minute because I want to book a scan for the 21st dec when I'll be exactly 7 weeks but he doesn't want to incase can't see anything or there's a problem etc and its right before Christmas (but I want it so we can tell people at Christmas if all ok!) im only going to book it If I still feel pregnant nearer the time and haven't had any concerning symtoms. Please could you let me know how yours goes on the 12th? As we'd be same gestation (roughly) might be a good comparison! Hope it all goes well for you and that you see a strong healthy bean in there :)

StuffedOwl · 06/12/2014 10:03

Good luck casio. Look after yourself over the next few weeks and months.

In terms of early scans don't forget that even if you have a "good scan" at 7 weeks and tell everyone over Christmas, there is the still the potential for it all to go horribly wrong, and you should use that as your bearing as to who you tell, because you may have to untell them. (Although when I had my mc at 11 weeks I found having to tell people helpful as I needed their support to get through)

In other news, I think I'm starting to feel more nauseous, but only mildly, which is reassuring for me. I'll be 6 weeks on Monday. Anyone all out puking yet?

mzzzf · 06/12/2014 10:48

Morning ladies. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and have no symptoms except fatigue, makes me want to keep POAS!

What symptoms does everyone have so far??

xBlueberry88x · 06/12/2014 10:50

So sorry casio fx we see you again soon

Did another test this morning it was so much darker than a few days ago. Been cramping alot since my bfp so I've been quite worried.

xBlueberry88x · 06/12/2014 10:53

I've been quite nauseous today but im full of cold and phlegmy so not sure if its that or morning sickness

daisysunshine2 · 06/12/2014 10:54

stuffedowl I know :( we're only telling parents and siblings at Christmas who were all really supportive with my last mc and I would talk to them about it anyway. I just don't want to announce then find at the 12 week scan baby measures 6 weeks or something and its a mmc. At least if we see a healthy baby at 7 weeks then I'll know I can get that far in a pregnancy and maybe will give different reasons for mc, who knows. Everyone else is going to have to wait until 12 weeks though, maybe 14-15!

I've been feeling nauseous for the first time today, I'm now 5 weeks and as healthy as I'm trying to be, all that seems to help the nausea is carbs!! cooking hash browns as I type I have been having a smoothie with banana, kale, spinach and mixed berries every day though so I'm trying to not feel too guilty about my hash brown eating...

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/12/2014 10:57

Morning ladies, I went to GP yesterday, he has been done a letter to midwife but said I won't be seen til 12 weeks?! Seems an awfully long time away.

He did say though that it is usual to experience some 'discomfort' or feelings of heaviness in the tummy area, as blood flow is diverted to all your baby making bits. Pelvic congestion i think he said.

I have certainly been feeling it, best over quickly to catch the kitten this morning and had a pain which really made me realise how careful i should be!

Mild nausea still, occasionally. And last night, itchy nipples!

StuffedOwl · 06/12/2014 11:54

daisy that is exactly how I'm feeling, as I had a mmc at 11 weeks so naively thought everything was ok, and I am still in 2 minds about an early scan before Christmas for all the same reasons as you and your DP but just with myself! Haven't broached the subject with my DH (he's been super busy at work, and probably doesn't want to hear my idle musings) I should probably ask his opinion Grin

daisysunshine2 · 06/12/2014 12:09

stuffedowl my DH has said it's ultimately my decision whether to get the scan or not, he'd rather i didn't but 100% understands it's easier for him to keep busy and try to not think about it all until 12 weeks whereas for me it's a little bit different! I'm going with if I still feel pregnant and have no concerns just before the 21st then I'll phone the clinic and get an appointment and if they have one then it means it's meant to be that I get one and if not I'll have to deal with it cos I really don't want to book it now and then have to cancel it, think that would hurt more somehow!

clairexxx · 06/12/2014 12:12

So sorry Casio.

I've been feeling so uncomfortable the last few days and I really hope that's normal. I'm quite bloated and very tired. Finding I'm quite nauseous too and only want to eat light things.

Woke up today feeling like I've pulled a muscle where my hip is! Must have been sleeping funny on it. The low cramping pain is much better than it was. I still keep getting a few light twinges occasionally but nothing how it was like before. I'm hoping it was just my body adjusting.

Hope all you lovely ladies are having a good weekend!
